Hakuna Kidani, What a Turtleful Phrase!

Oh MeMom, I'm so sorry you got so sick. What a disappointment to plan for so long and then have it all go awry. That must be hard. I am glad you are on the road to recovery. I hope Monday you are feeling more like yourself and can get back in the groove. I also hope the time until your next trip flies by so you can get yourself some much-deserved Mickey time!

It is so good to have you back in the saddle. I pray that each day you continue to gain more and more strength :goodvibes

Caren, it's so good to see you back here. And I'm glad we had some crummy weather so you don't end up missing so much school. Don't overdue it today at your part-time job.

I'm sure you'll be planning your summer trip in no time. :thumbsup2

Caren,

It is nice to see you posting again. I truly hope that Disney, the airlines and any of the other costs were able to be recouped in some ways either by travel insurance or other and that your medical insurance was able to handle the rest. It does break my heart that this happened to you and you continue to inspire with your selflessness over the entire episode.

Don't overdo it today

So glad you are feeling better and getting back to normal. I'm sorry your trip was messed up due to your illness. Take care of yourself!

Jill in CO

Memom,
I am so sorry to hear about your illness on your trip. As much of a setback that is I'm sure glad to hear you're getting better. Take your much needed break so you can be ready to go in the summer. It'll be here before you know it! I know we all can't wait to be apart of it through your pictures. Be safe getting back into the swing of things!:thumbsup2

So glad things are getting better for you. To bad you were out of it for your trip, but there will be others. Your health is a very important thing so just relax as much as you are able. Your family & your students need you.

Glad to see you are feeling a lot better! What a traumatic experience. Please make sure you take the time to heal back to your fullest!

While none of ever want to miss a trip, I'm glad that you got the care you needed and are home and doing better now. It sure is nice to see the outpouring of love, support and prayers for our friend in need!

Thankfully you have many more Disney trips in your future to look forward to!

Hope next week back at school goes smoothly for you!

I'm glad to hear you're on the mend and you're getting the time off you need to mend. I'm very sorry you missed precious time in Disney with your family but over joyed you got the medical attention you needed in time. I hope your time flies until you're able to get back to WDW.

Thanks for all the concerns and good wishes over the past weeks. I truly hope to forget most of what happened. I think today will be the day I get back into the 'land of the living' somewhat. The doctors said I'd need at least a week after I returned home. The weather has made schools delayed in returning, so I am ending up only missing two normal school days - today and tomorrow. I will be ready to go back and face the masses Monday, but for today, I'm making a trial run. I am going to a funeral this afternoon and then working my part-time job tonight. That will be the most I have done since December 23rd.

So sorry that you were ill. My son was ill during our trip too, but nothing near as serious. Hope you are better soon!!

So glad you have made a full recovery!

I look forward to you picking back up where you left off on this TR! :thumbsup2

I hope you are feeling back to normal today. I hate you missed out on the trip but so glad you are better.

Update us when you can... how is your first week back at school? Hope you are able to rest at night

Morning MeMom. How are you feeling today? I hope and pray you have fully recovered....and are planning your next trip.

Thank you, dear friends, for all of your inquiries about how I am doing. I went back to school Monday, and not only that, I worked my part-time job three nights this week. It was a long and tiring week, but I am certainly feeling better and stronger every day. I am still sleeping more than I normally do and have a continuing cough, but other than that, I am pretty much back to normal. I am getting my appetite back, which is kind of a bad thing, because maybe the only good thing about being sick was that I lost some weight. :thumbsup2

I have spent very, very little time on FB or DIS lately. I feel out of the loop. I did enjoy FB pictures from others who were able to enjoy their Disney Christmas and marathon trips. I am just getting back to the point that I care that there is a Disney World, because I was too sick to care that it existed or that I was missing anything. Now that things are more normal again, I look at pictures and see how much I missed. It makes me sad, but I have the summer trip to look forward to, and that will keep me going for now.

It is cold in Tennessee. We are in the midst of my two least favorite months of the year. January and February are so cold, and it seems like these two months last twice as long as any others!

Now, let's wrap up this report. After this, I am going to just enjoy reading the reports of others for a while. Jill may want to do a mini-report of her October and Christmas trips at some point. I figure in March, when I am mourning not having a spring trip, I will go back to last year's spring trip pictures and re-live those, but for the next few weeks, I just need to not have any report going. We have a lot of demands right now at school, and I will be spending a lot of outside the classroom time working on those. Thanks for sticking with us through the long lull in this report. We truly do value the friendships we have made here.

I really don't even know where we left off, but I think we had come out of Cape May. I was going to run in the back gate of Epcot and get pictures of the new ice cream shop, and the girls were going to hang out on the beach.

I love this area!

A quick gift shop picture as I headed toward France.

The warmth I see in these pictures is a stark contrast to the coldness of today. I am covered in a blanket as I type.

My destination.

It was not yet open, so this is all I got.

Back to the girls.

I have had the privilege of staying here due to the kindness of Marc and Anita, and I loved, loved, loved it!

Your beach pictures were perfect for a cold day.:goodvibes

Rest up and take care of yourself, we will be looking forward to your next report when life slows down alittle and your energy is back to full speed. Thank You for all the fun reports that have helped me dream about my next Disney trip. My thoughts and Prayers will cont. to be with you and your wonderful family. Be sure to keep us informed about that new grandchild.

:wave2: Glad to hear you're on the mend.
I also think Jan and Feb are the "longest" months of the year, despite that 28 day thing! When I retire someday, I hope to have enough $ or DVC points, or friends and relatives with condos so I can stay south for those months!!

Looking at the girls on the beach dressed like its 80 degrees makes me smile. I'm sitting with a big sweatshirt and blanket today too. But I'm watching my crazy girls out playing in the snow while we have a short respite from the Polar Vortex nonsense. Heaven knows they needed some fresh air and Vitamin D!

I enjoyed basking in the sunshine at the Beach Club today, if only for a few minutes. I ate a bowl of chicken and rice soup at lunch and then fell asleep. I woke up and looked at the clock, and it was 3:42! I slept the day away! Definitely not quite back to normal for me. :upsidedow It's so strange how an illness can linger in different ways after so long.

I think by March, I will be ready to dig into those Flower and Garden pictures from last year. This is just a good time to take a short and much needed break. If I can't keep up - and I can't, as you have seen during the past several months - then I don't want to do it until I can do it right.

It won't be long now until Hadley makes her appearance. Some of Brandi's friends gave her a shower last week, and she got lots of cute little outfits and some children's books. Brandi is starting to get to the point where she is in disbelief at how big her stomach is getting, yet she doesn't really comprehend that it is going to get even so much bigger before it is over! ;)

Maybe when I retire, I can spend a good chunk of January and February in Florida. :thumbsup2 I know we have nothing like the cold you guys have, but even what we have is too much for me. ::yes:: I like an occasional snow day when we can stay out of school and not have to get out. Not having a garage, I don't like going to the car every morning and having it covered in ice. I start it and stand at the downstairs door until I think it's warm, and then I dart out. I just don't do cold well, and I start the day off in a :crazy2: state of mind. After I get into the school building, I'm okay for the day.

I don't know if I just remember seeing these, or if I have already put them in the report. Forgive me if they are repeats.

I got the blue shirt on a previous trip.

Picking out goodies to take home.

Heading toward one of my favorite spots at Beach Club.

As if I should even be allowed to have a favorite spot at Beach Club, with my value budget self!
