Day 4 - our last morning in the park!
We woke up early-ish and a little sad that this was our last day. Ezyshuttle were booked to pick us up at 1:10pm and we weren't ready to leave at all; we really felt like we needed a few more days in our happy place. We finished the rest of our packing and made it to breakfast for just before 8am. There was no queue for the character meet and it said Gideon was due any second so we got into the queue and waited for about 2 minutes for him to appear! He was delightful and really fussed over Rosebug:
We then headed in for breakfast and we were seated in view of the castle again. We ate til we were full and then noticed Pinocchio outside; we were all for heading straight to the park but Rosebug LOVES Pinocchio; it is one of her favourite films so she asked if she could queue for him. 10 minutes later she was getting cuddles and an autograph:

We dashed back to our room to grab our cases and say goodbye to our beautiful room. After we left our bags Rosebug posed on the stairs for some photos; pretending she was a real princess!

We made it into the park for the rest of EMH and it was raining quite abit; so we rode a few rides; did a bit of shopping; visited the castle (again) and posed for photos at the Mad Hatters Tea Party (we never made it in the labrynth this time as we put it off and then it was too wet!)

Then Rosebug said she was really sad that she never got to meet Aurora again. Rosebug ADORES Aurora. We think it stems from her 3rd birthday meal at Auberge but she would choose Aurora over any other princess any day. We were in a mild panic at this point as we were leaving in 2 hours, and whilst normally I would just try to explain to her - I just felt sad;as we had missed her at the Pavillion twice and Rosebug had been talking for months about seeing her during our trip. I had kind of thought it would be a dead cert that we would meet her as we also had on previous trips in Auberge.
So we headed down to the Princess Pavillion just before ten; and this was the rest of my time in the park. It was raining and cold, so I sent Rosebug and DH off to keep active and warm. When they finally let us into the covered queue we saw the princesses arrive. Belle and Snow White. So when it was my turn I had a chat with the CM. He was wonderful and agreed that I could just stand at the front of the queue and when I saw Aurora arrive I could call Rosebug and DH to come back and we could meet her, although I think this was a real one off and not something they would normally allow. He went to find out if she was on the rota; came back and said she was but obviously they didn't know what time. Well, the next switch over came - and it was Cinderella and Ariel. So I thought I would stand one more switch and if no Aurora then we would just see who was there and head off. I was freezing but had a lovely time chatting to other families. DH and Rosebug came back to join me and DH said that maybe we should just go as Rosebug was really not coping with the weather and was getting very cold and tired. The CM overheard me and went inside. He returned and invited us to sit just inside the door to keep Rosebug warm. We were sat for about 3 minutes when all of a sudden Rosebug jumped out of my arms and squealed "MAMMY! DADDY! It's AURORA!!!!!!" The smile on her face; the glint in her eye made me so pleased that I had waited and so, so thankful to the CM's for allowing me to be a nuisance. He led us through and we were behind another family and honestly; I could feel the happiness and excitement coming from Rosebug - she kept whispering "It's Aurora! I can't believe it. I thought she wouldn't come!"
When it was her turn she could hardly walk round the corner she was so excited. She could hardly talk she was so in awe! Aurora was wonderful, I explained that we were going home and Rosebug had been so desperate to meet her that we had waited all morning. They chatted for a while, discussed the fairies; dresses; had a lovely cuddle and ...mammy cried. I think daddy possibly did too. I know most of you will understand how much meeting that "one" special character can mean to a child and it was really that feeling for Rosebug. If it had been any other princess she hadn't met this trip I would have been "Oh too bad!" But this was for her the biggest thing of her trip and she is STILL talking about it!

After the meet we felt like we were done so we headed out of the park; stopping via the Christmas shop to pick up some decorations (Rosebug chose Aurora's shoe. I hate them but it was her choice!) and then back to the hotel. As ew were leaving Alice, the Mad Hatter and White Rabbit were doing a meet in the castle walkway. I desperately want to meet Alice - not for Rosebug but for ME! But it didn't look like there was a queue and Rosebug was really, really flagging now so we sadly walked past and out of the park.
We stopped first at the boutique to buy our photos and disaster struck. None of the Aurora ones were on the photocard! The CM was wonderful, a guy called Zinedine (sp?) and I remembered him as the wonderful CM who had held Rosebug's hand as she shopped for her Snow White dress for her makeover in August 2012. He didn't give up on those photos and eventually found them in the system; we got all our photos printed and then headed to Cafe Fantasia for more Mickey Waffles!
After we finished we headed down to reception; our Ezyshuttle driver had just walked through the door so our bags were loaded into the car and we were off to the airport! Our much needed and magical trip over but the memories will last forever, and it really did help our little girl get through a rough few months!
