Thanks everyone. Such a nice day so far. ME left promptly. We stopped at AoA and Pop first, but they were quick. When we got here, a nice CM Lisa, was standing outside. She asked if we had done online check in and we went right with her to the counter. She got all our things for us, our room was already cleaned and we were on our way. Our room location is great, overlooks the main lobby. Really close to elevators which is what I requested. We usually stay pool view, but this year, we wanted to stay three extra days so we stayed standard instead. We already went to DTD. We did the shops and Disney Quest. It was not as crowded and crazy as I have read. Getting ready for dinner at Boma.

Sounds fantastic for a first day!! Enjoy!

Hi hforman! If you are still willing to organize you can count me in! We are at WDW from Aug 3-9. If heathsf did not join another group we may possibly have three. If so, paying $50 is better than $150. It can be less if we get a few more Dissers. Anyone else interested? Please PM me if you have interest.

Sent you a PM

Is anyone else feeling like the last few days are the hardest to wait? I can't think about anything else besides Disney and the days are crawling by so slowly!

(Usually I'm only thinking about Disney 90% of the time ;))

... I feel your pain,we are 5days out and the anticipation is finally hitting me.Today absolutely crawled by.

11 days, ack, I don't feel ready!! I'm second guessing everything because of the new FP and we're staying on site for the first time so I'm not sure how going back to the room midday will work into our touring plans. I'm so excited t have this time with DD but I don't want to screw anything up. worrying about Disney, first world problems
This is so me!! I leave in four days and I just moved some fp times around and switched a pretty major ADR! Frozen really changed up our HS plans, and I decided Ohana was no longer worth the cost... I may regret these changes in the harsh light of day!! I need to get off the Dis and get some sleep!

Us too, 4 days!

We leave in 6 days! Saw your signature, what did you do to your classroom? I was thinking of bringing more Disney into mine but fourth graders are at the strange either hate or love anything stage so I'd have to do it subtly.

I have so much to do that could keep me busy and make the time go faster but I just don't want to do anything except daydream about Disney! DH and I just moved into a house and I promised him I would finish unpacking all my boxes before the trip but I just can't see to get myself to do it!

At least you're only 5 days away! That seems so much more manageable than my 9! :lmao:

The struggles of being a DISer :rotfl:

I want to see Ree's classroom too! I teach 7th grade and some are into Disney and some aren't, but they know how much I love it and they seem to get a kick out of that.

You could check out what Disney offers here: Disney Floral and Gifts
I don't have any personal experience with it but it seems like you could have flowers sent to the room, flower petals and candles set up, chocolate, wine, or gifts brought in, or whatever else comes in their romance package...

You could also surprise her with a behind the scenes tour or another special experience like a fireworks cruise or carriage ride.

Wondering how 4 days can seem like forever after months of planning... can't wait to be in Disney on Saturday! I'm like the kids in the old commercials that can't sleep because they're too excited to see the castle!

16 DAYS!! :goodvibes

For those of you thinking about renting a car, I was actually able to find the best deal through carrentalsavers.com. It was through Budget-they somehow put in available coupon codes for you! When I went back to Dollar to book, I realized that the price they gave me was before taxes and fees, so that bumped up my total quite a bit. We got a full size car for the whole 10 days for $217 total. Good deal!!

30 Days!

It's starting to seem real now. I need to stop obsessing over my FP+/ADR planning. Constantly making tiny adjustments/tweaks, just because I can.

I used Disney Gifts once. Was flawless. Would recommend it. I was also going to say a tour if she's into that. Otherwise a quick visit to the wedding pavillion may be romantic, the Monorail Bar Crawl if you enjoy a libation, a visit to AKL in the evening to stroll around the savannah, take in the Boardwalk at night and hit Jellyrolls/Atlantic Dance, or the Brewery if that's more your thing. Just a few thoughts off the top of my head.

Cheers,
Indy

Question of the Day.....Other then packing, laundry...what are some last minute things you need to do, or purchases you haven't made yet?[/QUOTE]

I am 25 days out so I still need to get some more summer shorts/leggings to pack, get a manicure and a pedicure, order a new in park bag (any suggestions??), order some 'keep cool' items like a FroggTogg etc and finally do laundry and pack as I get closer!

I still haven't gotten my MagicBands or my Mickey Mail, but I know they have shipped so I am anxiously waiting! :yay:

We are 11 days out and now I'm wondering if I should purchase Memory Maker. If I purchase it now, how do I get it? Is it too late? Do I really need it? I'm stressing!

3 days!!!!! :cool1:

Everything (except toiletries) are packed and ready to go!! We got 3 suitcases, 3 bags, 2 backpacks, and 3 kids...good thing we're driving or we might have to leave something (or someone!! lol) behind!! :lmao:

We purchased it and just had them add it to our package before making final payment. I think it's really something worth considering but I don't think it's something you absolutely need to have.

For those already there, how's the weather?

I keep checking weatherbug and it shows 60-80 percent chance of rain for more of the days we'll be there :scared: I checked today and it said 60 percent, are they passing showers or more of an all day thing? Hoping it's not that bad, we'll have fun anyway, just praying we won't have to deal with too much rain :sad2:
