It was very fun, but the wait beforehand was brutal. I am from Seattle area and I can say that this was the coldest run I have experienced.

I volunteered and ended up at the water/powerade station at the end. More fun than I thought it would be, though a very early start (checkin at 3) and very very cold.

ME! ME!! I'm working right now and it's driving me nuts! I wanna be there yesterday!

Absolutely. I'm working today and leave bright and early tomorrow morning. I'll be nervous until I'm down there and able to get my packet before the Expo closes. I should have about 5 hours of leeway for unexpected traffic but that won't stop me from being nervous about it! DW thinks I worry too much but I've prepared too much to miss out on the Goofy Challenge!

Hopefully they still have some merchandise at the Expo that I'd like to have but as long as I get to run my races and get my shirts/medals then I'll be ok. Well, at least a Goofy Challenge car magnet would be nice to have too!

I hope that everyone is able to get down to Disney, checked in, packets picked up, and get some rest. Good luck everyone on your runs!

Wow was the expo crowded tonight! We still managed to get in and out in a reasonable time though, even with a little shopping. I looked at some merch previews before going, but I LOVED all the merch when I got there. I loved most of the shirts, but unfortunately I cannot afford to redo my wardrobe to be entirely run disney. I stuck to a Goofy car magnet, pin, and shot glass....errr...toothpick holder! (I collect them)

Now that I have the bib, it is sinking in that its really here/happening!

I was making fun of RunDisney's windchill warning yesterday, but those temps were no joke! Glad you showed some restraint with your purchases. I'm looking forward to seeing the event merch tomorrow!

I'm in the same boat. Working a full day, still have to finish packing, and on a 7am flight tomorrow morning. I have a generalized anxious feeling - nothing specifically is freaking me out - just a little of everything (packets, weather, race, injuries?, rain) making me a ball of nerves!

I'm with you on the merch - there isn't anything I will break down in tears or Facebook rant about if it's sold out. I'm sure I'll be able to find something to buy!

I got what I wanted, which was a headband, a magnet, and the MagicBand.
I didn't like any of the shirts this time, except the "free" one.

Hi all,
I'm hoping to meet my family at ESPN Zone (Go Packers!) right after the marathon on Sunday (even though I know it might be a zoo). What is the best way to get from the marathon finish line at Epcot to the Boardwalk? Any and all help is appreciated. Good luck to all who are running!

There are a couple of ways to get there. The easiest is if you have a pass for EPCOT. If you do, just go into EPCOT and walk through and exit out the back and that will take you to the Boardwalk and the ESPNZone. The other way is to take a bus to the Boardwalk Hotel and go through the hotel and exit at the Boardwalk. The ESPNZone is pretty close to the exit. Enjoy and good luck!

Our flights at 7am too. We're all checked in. I don't think we are checking anything (they lost my suitcase last year). We've got a direct to Orlando so we should be there between 9 and 9:30 and we are heading straight to the expo.

I'll wait till mid-way through the marathon to break down into tears.

In the past I think they are at the end of the area where you meet up with family after the race.

They seemed to have a ton of merchandise when I was there late last night. I know they were running low/out of some sizes of some clothing items,but I saw tons of pins, magnets, ect.

The goofy car magnets are really nice, I love the color of them....I can't wait to finish so I can unbury it from the bottom of my suitcase and look at it again.

(I'm incredibly paranoid about having stuff like that in my possession before finishing the distance, haha)

That's good to hear. Hopefully it's still pretty full when I get there tomorrow afternoon. Actually, by this time tomorrow I hope to have my race packet in hand and either be leaving the Expo or browsing around looking for things to buy.

I finished up my work for the day and have started packing for the trip. I have a full week down there but the first thing I packed was my running bag. I've got my shoes, socks, shorts, shirts (short and long sleeve), backup tights if cold, long sleeve throw away for Saturday morning, GU packets, Garmin, Glide, band-aids, ipod, and headphones. I also verified that all the GU I want to take plus my phone will fit in my armband/short pockets. So I think I'm good to go! I'll probably pack for the rest of the trip as well but this stuff is much more important on this particular trip!

Yes, extremely easy. They are right outside the finish area. You can even grab a beer in the finish area, so make sure you bring a few bucks for that one! After doing Dopey last year, that was the best tasting beer I ever had.
