I'm not mad. I was just putting my unpopular opinion. I used to be of the same opinion, that parents can go back to work once kids are in school...then my kids were in school and our lives were more hectic than ever. I have 2 in HS and 1 in college and I stay home still. It would be difficult for me to hold any kind of meaningful job since I have so much running to do and other stuff (also due to my DH having a very demanding career). I must say, families where both parents work (or single working parent)...don't know how they do it all and my hat's off to them.

I have been reading this the beginning of this thread but have been very reluctant to share my unpopular opinions. Here are a couple of mine:

I think people who claim to like/love animals but eat them anyway are just big hypocrites.

If your child is overweight I am judging you, you are failing them.

I do not understand these statements. They do not compute in my brain.

It was all pretty lighthearted until people had to put down the flip flop - that's just wrong. It's 48 degrees, and I just got home from driving kids around - in my flip flops! I'm not going down without a fight - snow, did you hear me?!

Absolutely and they know it! My son and Dh do consume meat once in awhile though my DH has mostly converted to a vegetarian diet, they both know my opinion on the matter.

It always amazes me that 90% of the fans of one of those series can't abide the other. I do prefer Star Wars, but I think Star Trek is tolerable. Apparently I am in the minority...another unpopular opinion!!! Thanks for making me realize it!

My opinion is I get annoyed when people don't know the difference between an opinion & an annoyance.

Yeah, I don't get why people get all upset about saying Happy Holidays vs. Merry Christmas. I think some people look for reasons to be upset about something.

Well, only because the easily offended crowd got offended by "Merry Christmas" first......I don't care either way

- I don't believe everything I'm told by the government, CDC, FDA, or major news outlets.
- I am of the opinion that questioning something that comes from any of the above doesn't necessarily make one a "conspiracy theorist".

Annoyed by:
- not being able to say "Merry Christmas" at Christmas without anyone getting offended (just agreeing with a previous poster).
- Kids no longer being able to sing Christmas carols at school like we did when I was a kid.
- No longer calling it "Christmas vacation" rather than "Holiday break" when the kids are off school at Christmas time.

Ditto. I posted an opinion. Then I agreed with an opinion and posted my annoyance based on said opinion. Sometimes they go hand in hand. That's just the way it is.

I'm sorry if my distaste for flip flops made you realize that winter is coming. Maybe if I weren't cursed with such flat arches I would love them too. But as it is, they cause me too much pain, and thats why I was dissing the flip flops.
