Pete Werner, we're not as rich as you !

It's apparent that you see the cost of things and not the value and thats a shame.

I feel sorry that you live that way. Price doesn't always equate to value. I think you'd be happier if you could see that.

It's always easy for someone to hide behind the anonymity of a screen name and lob snarky comments at someone that puts themselves out there.

I think it's cowardly...but hey...it's just my opinion and as others have pointed out, we're all entitled to ours.

You seem to be listening quite closely to the things Pete says, buys, wears etc.

If you are following that closely, you have also heard him say...if you don't like what you are hearing ...turn us off. Go somewhere else. Listen to another Podcast.

If you want to call into question my concept of what value might be...go for it.

I question whats going on in your life that you feel the need to post things like this.

Again...if Pete's "things" make you feel bad....turn us off.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love you? :)

Ouch Kevin, Words hurt you know. Im a big fan of the show.

To dismiss my concerns and tell me to simply not to watch the program is quite simply put being very mean.

All I am getting at is that Pete may be getting out of touch with his audience.

Its like Mitt Romney going to a WaWa and ordering a sandwich or George Bush going to a supermarket and asking what a price scanner was.

As I said before I don't think this intentional.

Pete is going around the table asking what everyone did for 4th of July, and you got poor kathy at home watching it on tv, craig at home sleeping, corey at some park near his house, and teresa was falling asleep.

Seriously? Don't watch the show if you feel so strongly about this.

Pete, and anyone for that matter, is entitled to spend their money however they see fit. Sorry something you think of as a "good value" is not synonymous with someone else's perspective. (Although they did mention on the show this week how great the Deluxe rates were for this summer, so he probably did get a really good deal!)

What you spend your money on is entirely up to you. The reason that we have the show, the Disboards, all of this content right at our fingertips, is because of Pete. For someone who constantly rants about different things you dislike about the show and its host, you certainly continue to watch the FREE shows he produces and write about it on the FREE message boards he provides.

First and foremost let me start out by saying I love Pete and don't think it's intentional

But enough already with all the flaunting of the money

Concierge at poly on 4th July , buying a pc just for a gaming system , 3 cell phones, iPads with the pencil , suite at Disneyland hotel, and yes don't think I don't notice those $200 Burberry shirts

I mean come on. Please realize that much of your audience lacks these resources and quite frankly it hurts

Am I the only one feeling this was

It's been a while since my last rant

Ouch Kevin, Words hurt you know. .

Really?

If the Podcast is hurting you...stop watching.

Your worry about Pete being out of touch with his audience seems unfounded and harshly critical.

Your concern for "poor Kathy", Corey, Craig and Teresa is also a bit off. None of their choices were for lack of funds. All have annual passes and all made choices to avoid a "capacity crowd" theme park when the temperature reached 95 and felt like 105.

John and I also spent the day at home.

If you believe words hurt...you may want to re-read your original post.

So if you stay home and someone goes out on a holiday that's flaunting? I stay home a lot of holidays, not because I can't afford it but I don't want to deal with crowds.

I manage a large big box retail store. I get paid very very well for what I do. Does this mean I can't talk about my vacations in front of my part time associates? Can I not carry my Dooney and Bourke HM bag? Im not flaunting anything. Im just living my life.

As does Pete. He has every right to do what he likes, he worked damn hard to get his business where it is. We should look up to that and inspire to be like that then put people down because they have more of the pie than you do.

Okay, OP, please know that I am saying this to try to be helpful. I have noticed a consistent pattern with your posts and wonder if part of may what be causing an issue is a weakness reading social interactions and picking up on social cues. Have any of your friends or family ever pointed this out to you? It may be something you want to think about as I think it is causing you to misinterpret much of the podcast content and to misunderstand the participants. I just offer it as something to consider before you post a thread.

FWIW, if people spent all the time and energy they spent on being envious on something entrepeneurial instead, maybe there would be no need to be envious in the first place.

All I did was mentioned that Pete appeared to be inadvertenly showing off his good and that His wealth may be displacing him from the rest of his listeners who are of different economic backgrounds

Compared to all the personal attacks I received on this post, I am not attacking Pete. Just asking him to be mindful of his listeners. Pete is a jersey guy who tells it like it is and I doubt would be hurt by such comments.

Pete's staff looks happy and well compensated and I definitely not complaining about him having deep pockets and short arms.

I love Pete and the show even though I have been very disappointed with the recent programming ( i.e. getting rid of 7 on 7 for what i like segment, canceling the Trip, and the entire disneyland dreams unlimited series)

Seems like the only person who Pete is "out of touch with" is you.

If this was your only complaint about the podcast I still wouldn't think it was valid, but I'd be more understanding. However, you've posted numerous complaints over the past couple months. Being so brashly critical of a show that is completely free to you is at best oblivious and at worst disrespectful and pugnacious. I don't necessarily think that is your intention, but if that's how you're coming off to multiple people including the podcast team (evidenced in this thread), maybe take a step back and think about how you're wording things? :confused3

Just my two cents, for what it's worth. :eeyore:

No...thats not all you did.

You specifically called him out on the things he owns. You even mentioned his shirts.

You got personal and using your word...mean.

As for Pete being hurt....I don't know whether he is or not. I doubted you would be hurt by what I posted. Again...in your own words..."words hurt".

Having a different opinion than yours does not equal personal attacks.

You keep mentioning that you love Pete. This is a strange way of showing that.

Again...if you are disappointed or hurt by what we are doing...turn us off.
