Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

@aggiemomx3 asked me to snap a photo of the labels of the pillows at YC -- here they are. I hope it helps, if memory serves me correctly the first two labels are from the same pillow, the firmer one. The last photo is from the pillow that would be placed on top and so I think the softer of the two

Thank you for the photos ohMom! Have not stayed at YC in many years but this refurb may change that. I love the decor and storage. Not sure about the floors. Theoretically, I like that they may be cleaner than carpet but I do not want gritty feet EWW.

ohMom...thanks for the great photos.

I'm not happy with the no carpet. Bare floors can get just as dirty as carpet.

Carpet adds another layer of beauty, too. I think the design department needs to re-think having too many hard sterile surfaces in a room just for the sake of germ-free (perfectly beautiful in a bathroom, but not a bdrm). The rooms seem too brown/navy and flat, or one dimensional now. YC is one of my fav resorts and I'm not real thrilled with the look. Some items are nice, but overall the look is missing something. But of course I'll still be happy to stay there.

Hi everyone! I'm back from my first CL stay and it was lovely! I questioned the value before, but I think I'm hooked now. I didn't get a ton of pictures, but did want to share some that I took of the AKL CL lounge offerings - there was a small screen (almost like a digital picture frame) in the lounge that displayed the following images on repeat:

We enjoyed the sunrise offerings and midday snacks Thursday-Saturday, and the other offerings on Thursday and Friday. My DD and grandmother loved the breakfasts and midday snacks. The evening selection on Friday was my favorite - it was so good that I made butter chicken at home on Sunday!

I saw some discussion before I left about taking glasses out of the lounge - I did this a couple of times when I needed to run back to the room before I'd finished my drink, and no one said anything. I did make sure to bring the glasses back each time. That said, whenever I asked for a drink, the CMs always asked if it was for there or to go, and they used plastic cups if I said "to go." There was definitely no stinginess or judging (at least not visibly, haha). At breakfast, I didn't even have to ask for a mimosa to go - one of the CMs stopped by and asked me if I wanted one!

It was a short but wonderful visit. I'm really glad I only planned one park day so that we could really enjoy the resort and CL lounge. I'm typically all about being in the parks all day, and this was a nice change of pace.

Oh thank you so much. On snowy days like today I often look thru old pics n Disney stuff remembering old trips.

I often take pics of the food too lol.

This menu is great because as I read it I kept rembering other things from our January trip

I have 5 days until Sugar Loaf :cloud9:

ok! I apologize that some of them are blurry, ones I took of the furniture. I guess I was so darn excited that I couldn't hold my phone steady :teeth:
bear with me, my photos are still too large of a file, let me post a couple and make sure I'm converting them to a size that will post; here are the few I got of the club room. I didn't take many thinking that pics of the lounge had already been posted --

view from our room -- we were stunned! we got some pixie dust, I had booked a standard view

Awesome view! :)

ok! I think that is all!

I have not stayed CL for a very long time, about 7 years ago I'm thinking. We have an absolute ball at the YC! Vilma checked us in, she was fabulous. We had several minor details to work out and she breezed through them all. The staff was always welcoming, and never did I feel awkward on asking for a glass of wine when it wasn't set out. The food was amazing for what I was expecting, it was fresh and hot, the apps were good. We just weren't there as often to partake. We did hit dessert all but one night, the desserts were great, just wished there had been a change up throughout the week. Also, wished there was a diet caffeine-free pop option. (insert here i'm thinking now I have another pic or two of the lounge sideroom, i'll edit those pics in) All the club CM were friendly and accommodating, we really enjoyed them.

The corner shelf for charging devices by the bed was handy, the bed lights were nice and we didn't find them for a couple days! It's good to use them, the general lighting above the beds is pretty bright if someone in the room is trying to sleep.

The bathroom hook was awkward, when we hung our toiletry bag up, it hung beyond the lightswitch. So we had to push the toiletry bag every time we wanted to turn the light on. I found the panel door between the toilet room and the sink area a bit hard to grip to pull.

my only setback was housekeeping, I know it's been mentioned before. the new floors are wonderful, however after a few days I found myself brushing off my feet before putting my shoes on. One day we did not get service twice, and we only popped in for a brief bit in the late afternoon. We had to go ask for more toilet paper, and can I just say that toilet paper is NOT deluxe.

I hope to return to CL at the YC again though -- the pool is outta sight!

Thanks for your review. Glad you had a nice trip and enjoyed YC CL :wizard:.

This is really nice. I really like how they have the lounge offerings posted for guests. This is the first I've seen this. Are other CL doing this as well? That would be awesome!

I am thinking of booking CL at the Poly. I have an amazing rate through a TA and the CL for 7 nights is $1,113 more than no club level. Which is $2k less than the Disney CL rack rate.

Trying to decide for the 4 of us if it is worth it. (me my niece 28, my twin girls 15). I have stayed CL main building in GF and CL CR tower in the past.

Is the CL building a more desirable building/view than what I would get with a standard garden view room at the Poly?

Do the white wine offerings include a Pinot Grigio or a Sauv. Blanc?

Do they have bottles of water that we can take with us?

Can we get get a glass of wine or a beer during the day?

What is the CL experience like at the Poly? Compared to CR or GF?

Thanks for your input!

Hi there! I'll take a stab at your questions.

Building - For me, the Hawaii building is about as good as it gets for my style. It's a central location just steps from everything. You're steps away from both pools, short walk to the boat dock, medium walk to TTC, etc. Also quick to pop out on the beach to play, watch fireworks, roast marshmallows, etc. Poly CL GV rooms face the Oasis Pool which is a nice view - the landscaping in that courtyard/pool area is very nice. I would argue it's the same or maybe slightly better than any given standard view room, but that's subjective. Knowing you'll be in the Hawaii building is a BIG plus in my book.

Wines - Offerings change over time but this was as of mid Feb. No Pinot or SB this night.
6.jpeg

Water Bottles - No, Poly CL does not have water bottles either out or in the back. If they do have them in the back, they are stingy with them and you don't see it often. They have filtered water out in a container. You can ask a CM to fill up your personal water bottle in the back with the filtered water.

Wine & Beer - Available all day. If not out, it's always available upon request. To go cups are plentiful if needed.

Poly CL vs RPC or CR Atrium - TOUGH question. Several differences, some big/some small. I'm going to give the cop out answer and say I love them all for different reasons. The resorts themselves really overlap with my thinking too, so it's hard to give clear thoughts.

But generally speaking, one of the bigger differences between Poly and GF/CR is the food. Poly has historically had inferior food offerings compared to other CLs, particularly when it comes to evening apps. This is both in quantity of options and freshness/flavors. Poly has upped their game recently in this regard, but it's still a notch below other CLs. Not enough to stop me from going there though.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for the great pictures and report! One thing that caught my eye immediately was that Vilma checked you in - she was my favorite CL CM from the BC! She was not at BC during our last stay there and we were told she went to the YC during the BC CL renovations. She never failed to remember us from trip to trip, always had a hug and genuine happiness to see us. She loved talking to me, giving my girls special treats, and keeping my DH with a supply of beer! We miss her - there are not a lot of CM's like her.

Great info and great pics - thank you for sharing! The pics you took of the digital screen are very helpful to anyone planning an AKL CL trip (like us! next month).

OhMom By chance did you take any pictures of the wine selecton?

Unfortunately I did not, we always were asking for it, arriving back too late and the cordials were out, or in the afternoon for the break they would get us a glass that we could pour into cups to take to pool. They didn't bring the bottles out, just the poured glasses. Two glasses limit per person at each request. We would get extra at bedtime occasionally. We only had apps once, early in the week, and I thought we'd hit the apps session again and never made it back during that time. I didn't take a pic that first night. I wish we had gotten back for the apps, we really liked them. Anyhow, I had Sauvignon blanc, my friend had a Cabernet blend.

And reviewing those pics reminded me - YC beer selection was Longboard, Sam Adams, Yuengling and Bud light

We have our first CL trip this December at BWI. This is our first stay at BWI too, and the Boardwalk area in general, as we are normally a CSR family (received upgrade for this trip due to CSR business class closing). I've been doing searches to get information but would love to hear from anyone who has stayed at BWI, especially CL, to get their opinion. Good, bad, any tips. We have a standard view room. Are there any requests I should make? Do any of the CL std view rooms have a view of fireworks from the balcony? Thanks in advance!!

We are back from BC, club level.. We were there for 5 days. It was our first time at BC. Not our first time at CL. We have stayed CL at the GF, Poly and Contemporary. So I have plenty to compare to.

This was by far my least favorite club level experience. The food was the same almost every day. Same snacks (which is normal, I know)...Same breakfast (one day it was ham slices, one day roast beef, and one day salami was the only difference). Same for evening snacks and desserts. Always the same foods! I was shocked. The food was just meh, for me. There were a couple employees who were very friendly but most just went about their business.

Our room was in a great location-we weren't far from the elevators or the club, which is nice with 3 young kids. But mousekeeping was terrible. Most days we'd come back from the park around 3:00 and our room would still not have been made up. I love coming back to a freshly made up room so this was always disappointing. And to top it off, they consistently left 4 towels. There were 5 of us staying in the room. Hello!! Never any towel animals or "magic". My kids even commented on that.

Another thing-coming back from the parks the other day I noticed our neighbors had room service trays sitting outside their room. Those room service trays were STILL there the next morning! And were still there again after we had breakfast. I just can't believe NOBODY stopped to pick up these trays! It was gross!!

I need to just stop trying different resorts and go back to my favorite, the GF.

We've never stayed at BWI so I can't comment on the resort or CL, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry your BC CL stay wasn't the best. Hope you get back to your favorite resort soon :).

We had a view of the Eiffel tower and the tops of Illuminations. Our rooms faced the quiet pool. You will love BWI, the CMs blew us away. It was like being "home", and I miss it there terribly. We are returning to YC CL next week, and although YC is lovely, they can't come close to BWI IMO. YMMV. They've really stepped up with the food there as well. I've stayed GF (SL and RPC), WL, AKL, YC, BC, Poly, and BWI CL and BWI is tops.
