World of Color Dessert Party and Show Part 2 (Part 1 on previous page)
Bambi
Lady and the Tramp
Beauty and the Beast
Mickey!
There was also a whole Wall-E section that I apparently didn’t get any photos of. I think I was so shocked to see Wall-E included that I stopped taking pictures and just watched.
Overall I really loved World of Color. The projections were awesome and had a lot of feeling behind them. And I loved the way they incorporated the Fun Wheel and California Screamin’ into the show. I have to agree with people who say it is one of the best shows that Disney does.
The dessert party was a huge success with our group. Mom, John and Jocelyn absolutely loved it. It was such a stress free way to watch WOC while enjoying some wonderful desserts. Was it the perfect view of WOC? No, it wasn’t, some of the bottom of the screens were cut off. I think the only perfect place to watch would be at the very bottom near the rail but then I wonder if you would get the whole picture there or be too close to see everything. But having a seat, yummy desserts and an open, uncrowded area to watch was so worth it to me. Despite the over $300 price tag for the four of us, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
We sat for a few minutes waiting for the crowd to thin out. Our waiter offered me a box to take the rest of the desserts I didn’t eat. I knew I wouldn’t eat them but I asked the other three. They decided they did not want to take them so we told him thanks but no thanks. John and Jocelyn insisted on giving the tip for our waiter since I paid for the party but I have no idea what they gave him. He definitely deserved a tip!
We headed back down to the locker to get the rest of our stuff out and then we stopped in one of the stores near the exit. We got some vouchers with our package and one of those was for a free pin and lanyard. We decided to pick those up while we were thinking of it.
The park was closed so we slowly made our way out and walked back to our hotel. It was so nice to be that close and not have to wait in a huge bus line.
I ended up trading for two pins that day.
And my fitbit stats for the day.
I went to bed that night feeling super happy. Our day had been 100% successful. We rode everything we wanted to and even threw in a few extras. We had a wonderful lunch at Flo’s and then an amazing evening at the dessert party and WOC show. I could only hope that the next day would go half as good.
