Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Thanks so much! I confess, I focused most of my attention on the Amarula in previous visits and didn't take much note of the other options available

 I can empathize with that. I had to look back at a photo of the fridge before responding. Had you asked a question about the beer and wine offerings, though, I think I could've gone by memory. :drinking1

Woohoo. I just changed my august trip from a standard BC room to a standard Cl room at bc. So excited. Last yr at poly cl I got a welcome email instantly. Are they still sending them? I want them to book golf for dh since he is only 1 person. Do all the Cl rooms have full balconies?

Not all BC CL rooms have full balconies, unfortunately. But if a full balcony is your only request, then you should have a good chance of getting one. I think your chances decrease when you add other requests in (like we do). Have a great trip - we've had many great memories at BC CL over the years!

Hi there! We just checked in to BC CL yesterday. We have room 5656, which is literally 3 doors down from the lounge and has a full balcony--fulfilling both of our requests. It's been great letting the kids hang in the room while we get a drink and snack!

Awesome! That room number sounds very familiar - I think we had a room in that location for one of our stays there. Hope you love BC as much as we always did!

I checked into WL CL today (yay!) and was greeted curbside by a CL CM. She gave me an overview of the resort, directions on how to get various places, and took us to the lounge. Our room wasn't ready upon arrival, but it was ready by the time we got to the lounge, so she showed us to our room. She is from my home state, about 2 hours away, and had been to some conferences at the college I went to. I realize this was purely coincidental, but it was nice to have something non-Disney to talk about! We had dinner in the lounge (which was excellent), and I'm going to check out the desserts pretty soon!

Yes, finally some more WL CL traffic! Hope you enjoy the lounge as much as we did in November. Have a great trip!

Oh! I should also mention that I had 1 room request - to face the Magic Kingdom. My room is right in the middle of the hall with a direct view of the castle! I'm going to see what wishes looks like from here pretty soon!

Oh and the CL desserts are great...I'm going to need to run 600 miles when I get home!

Yeah, the info on page 1 is old, those e-mails won't work anymore (although I think you get an auto-reply directing you to e-mail DSS). They ended IPO sometime late last year. There was a several month period before they introduced DSS where there wasn't any pre-planning service available. DSS was introduced roughly in Jan this year if I'm not mistaken.

I do my communication with DSS mostly via e-mail, it's just easier. I can't remember if golf is one of those where they need your credit card to reserve - if so you'll have to call and give your credit card info for their files. It's not a bad idea to call them with your credit card anyway just so it's on file in case you end up needing them for anything where one is required (such as cabana booking, etc).

Hope that helps!
Thanks! I will call as soon as decide just so they have it on file. It will be nice not having to book it.

A full balcony is my only request so fingers crossed!

Anyone know what kind of beer is at the BC lounge? We got hooked on longboards at the poly last year.

Never anything dark enough. I enjoy porters, stouts and black ales. Completely unhelpful I know. Other than longboards at the Poly, the only other beers I remember were Sam Adams at YC. Heineken every where.

Uhm - currently at the CR staying at Tower CL but the CM have already left and I had to take care of something so I did it downstairs. As I am waiting to get assistance this "kid" walks right by me and my girls with his pants literally hanging below his butt cheeks. I was so shocked to see this at the CR and the fact that my 8 year old said "mom look at his pants" ... I did say "Jesus Christ pull your pants up my kids don't need to see all that". Super friendly CM I then stepped up to apologized and we are starting to take care of what we need to take care of. Then this kids (now mind you he looked about 17/18 so i use the term "kid" loosely here).
The here comes this raging lady asking me how dare I "curse" at her son and I told her for one I didn't curse and two he needs to put his pants where they belong. She then accused me of having used the words "****". she starts muttering for me to not dare say anything to her child and then this went back and forth a bit until i told the CM I would like security to get her away from me and my kids.

Now excuse me! Did I dream this? Am I dilutional to not ever have expected anything like this at the CR? Is this what it's coming to? I know it's not directly CL related but since I am staying CL I wanted to post here.

Eek! Departing in 2 days for YC!!! I am hoping they do the very nice greet you in the Porte Cochère, we should arrive at YC by 9:30 am ish. Looking forward to my morning cocktail:drinking1

Have a great time!! :banana::banana:

For those asking about check-in at the YC. We checked in yesterday morning around 9:30. No greeters we checked in at the desk they reset our MB's so they would work on the elevator. There were greeters out later in the day... you may get greeted and you may not.

Trouble. Maker.

No, not all YC CL rooms have balconies. We were in a garden view CL room over looking the gazebo and it didn't have one. Thought the room itself was stifling and considered about asking to move, but didn't. The room was at the end of a short dead end hall very convenient to the lounge and despite the room's balcony shortcoming, didn't want to be down a longer hallway and loved the truly quiet room with no one walking by.

Our friends had that room one year. It was so weird not to have a door and balcony to go out on. But, I think there was an extra window? Not like you could open it or anything...

have a great trip. Please report back your thoughts when you get home. I am 120 odd days out from my trip and just dying for WL CL info.

Just because one has the financial ability to stay CL doesn't mean they have class. Money and class do not go hand in hand!

Hi! Quick report on last night's YC offerings: hot: mac & cheese bites
Chicken skewers w/ grain (rice?) & honey citrus sauce on the side

Cold: caprese salad, mixed olives, beets with cheese & nuts

As always they had cheese, crackers & crudite w/ dip, red pepper hummus & roasted tomato pesto

Desserts were chocolate chip, oatmeal & sugar cookies, white chocolate Oreo mousse bar, lemon, red velvet, vanilla & chocolate mini cupcakes plus the yummy s'mores mousse cup. The cupcakes except the chocolate had candies on the frosting. The chocolate had frosting but had 4 different toppings so you could put your own on.

Breakfast today had salami, roast beef, hard boiled eggs, grits, oatmeal w/ toppings, 3 cold cereals, 4 different bagels, 4 different breads, coffee cake & an apple mini muffin.

There is quite a bit more variety for breakfast than I have seen in years! Tables weren't being bussed very quickly yesterday, but today they were clearing your plates as you were still there. Much better! Guess it might depend on the CMs working.

Everything sounds great! The hot apps are more my speed lol lol I love that its stuff my kids can pick on too!

GF might be better for teens though?[/QUOTE]

Thanks! The reason that we've never stayed at GF previously, and maybe I'm way off base, but it just looks a little too sleepy to us, and maybe "girly" for my teen son. I always thought of staying there with just my daughter, but I'm not sure about the vibe. Probably our favorite overall vibe so far was at Boardwalk. Nice mix of fun and relaxation. But, I like to try a new resort, too. And I'm not trying to insult anyone's manliness if they love it!
