I'm sure we could! But would be so much easier if they offered in the afternoon! Personally I find it weird that they're offered in the A.M., but I guess others enjoy it.
Lol, ok - so I used to think the exact same thing. Turkey for breakfast? :confused3

But then someone around here (you know who you are) suggested making a breakfast sandwich, which struck me as clever. So one morning sometime recently I toasted some bread, sliced a hard-boiled egg, added turkey and cheese - and it made a great breakfast sandwich! It was a good change of pace from just hard boiled eggs every morning. :thumbsup2

I still do think it's kind of a weird offering, but have found a use for it! :goodvibes
We like to make breakfast sandwiches too. The best is the brioche bread in the morning at GF.
Deli meats in the A.M is very European. In Italy if you stay in a hotel they will put out meats in the morning also.:daisy:

Unfortunately, my boys will have to travel with their passports (Canadians and they won't take drivers license as proof of age) they're 21/25 and finally legal to drink at WDW.... may try seeing if we can show a photocopy of their passports, that would be easier to carry around and at least they don't risk losing an important document!!! PS.... we are staying Club Level at AKL Nov 11-16
22 and 24 year-olds never travel without proof they can drink!! It fits very nicely in between your phone and it's case. And usually like wearing a smug "I told you so" grin when asked for it. :P I'm just hoping there's not a "have you seen the teenagers taking beers out of the lounge?" buzz that develops the week we're there!

My kids have the attitude "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" - particularly when it could be the one that pulls Cinderella's carriage.:worship: and carries cash.

Yes, I'm looking to make it work the other way around for me - they can take my drink order :drinking1

That's a lot to carry around!! I think they can carry a photocopy of their passport and their actual driver's license. Neither is acceptable on its own, but it looks like they work together. Less worry about carrying the actual passport.

I leave for my cruise tomorrow and check into the tower club at the Contemporary on Saturday. Is there anything specific anyone wants me to try to remember to get pictures of?

Tower Club....:love::love:

Not sure if any of your evening plans consist of viewing the fireworks from the lounge, but I'd love to hear about what you think of the new show from that viewing location.

Have a great trip!

Continuing to work through my photos from the weekend. I watched Happily Ever After Friday night from my Poly CL TPV room, but walked down to the CL lounge about half-way through just to briefly check it out. Couple of observations:
  • Lounge was pretty crowded (although it was the first night of the new show), people were standing in the back.
  • Audio level was good (it had been pretty low when I was there in Feb).
  • They leave the lights on, which is sort of a bummer. I swear years ago they used to dim them but that could be a memory I've made up in my head?
  • I've been in the lounge before when tables further back don't stop to watch the show, keep talking, making noise, etc. It was dead quiet on this night, people were into it.
  • Overall I'd still rather pop out to the beach to be outside than watch in here, but it's certainly a viable viewing option with a few bonuses - a place to sit, nice A/C, good audio, and close to the beer/wine. :-)
Here are some pics.

We will be viewing them from our balcony (but should have basically the same view as the lounge since it is so close) so I will report back!

Hi guys! Just returned from WDW! Pandora was AMAZING and I LOVED the new Happy Ever After fireworks show at MK! I've got a bunch of pics and vids over on my IG: ekmurphy12 if you want to check them out! Also I am now caught up on PMs and I have the guest list updated! :D

Now I've only stayed CL once (hoping to again April 2018) so I'm not sure if this would be frowned upon, but why couldn't you take some cold cuts at breakfast time and put in your room fridge? (maybe bring ziploc bags from home). Then you could make a sandwich when you wanted.
I always do that lol! I don't eat much at breakfast and prefer to graze all day. Lots of the fruit, meat and danishes have found their way to my room.

The croissant with ham and cheese is my fav!

I'm staying 8/6-13 at GF SL. I booked with an AP rate and won't activate my AP until I arrive. I was told that I have to go to a park to activate my AP before I can check in to my hotel. @GADisneyDad14 or any other AP holder have you heard this or had to do this?

Well, I'm glad to see that people are sitting down. That's a bummer about the lights though. They should lower them.

I can't wait! Our first day/night will consist of dinner at 'Ohana, and checking out Trader Sams. We will do pool time and then chill in the lounge to catch "Happily Ever After". It will be an all Poly day before we start our touring the next day. Perfect!!!

I never did.

I used to have Florida ID and they are strict with Florida discounts. For AP reservations I have booked online or by calling I never had to have my AP. That's dozens of trips.

The worst they would do at check in in ask to see your AP within 24 hrs to keep your discount and that is easy to accommodate.

I *think* you have 24 hours to present your AP. So, you'll be able to check in, but you'll be asked to present your AP within 24 hours.

I can't think of a single time I was asked to produce my AP checking in with the AP rate... last time I had to activate it first I was staying at Yacht.... I checked in, then walked down and activated it at the international gateway booth and got my AP card. But I didnt have to show it.

Sorry I quoted the wrong post, ha ha :)

Thanks for the info! That is much easier to do than before I check in!!!

I am the queen of carrying ziploc bags with me when we travel for storing leftovers from eating out and of course the few little goodies we scrounge from the CL lounge. It's great to have a few snacks for those times the lounge is closed or we are up extra early.

So here is my brief review of our first CL stay at BC, 5/6/17-5/14/17.

Overall, we absolutely loved our first CL stay and I would return to both BC and CL in a heartbeat. DH agreed that it was worth what we paid (we got 50% off the room as he is a CM).

Thanks for your review. Glad you had a great time and enjoyed BC CL :).

Why must my trip be 4 long exhausting months away?? i know :charac2: but the anticipation and review reading is killing me! Maybe GADisneyDad and DW will adopt me so I can come along on their more frequent trips.:rotfl2:

The time will go fast and you will be checking into the Poly before you know it! :goodvibes

Doing a split stay: Poly CL Aug 1 - 4 then YC CL Aug 4 - 7

What a great split, best of both worlds :thumbsup2

Have a great trip! Looking forward to hearing all about it when you return :wizard:.

As trishadono posted, you have 24 hours of check in to show an activated AP ;).
