Magic Shots?

Your itinerary looks very solid! Well done! I had to look up Tom Sawyer Island at WDW website I knew it closed early but I wasn't positive at the time, so far it's showing 5pm closure. My concern is how dark will it be in October around 5pm and if the closing time changes in October. You'll have to keep your eyes open when the October calendar gets updated. I think the Pirates of Caribbean is doable provided the CM extends the 15 minute grace period. Another concern is you have not mentioned getting your party wrist bands your closest location is at Tortuga Tavern across from Pirates of Caribbean. :-)

EDIT: Magic Shots - You have two locations Liberty Square or Main Street. Please see Page 1 - Post#4

We will be at the 8/29/17 party, I was so happy to see there was a party date for the time we will be there.
We have a 2:30pm LTT late lunch planned and we will be going as BB8 and Rey. This will be our third party. We have met Jack and Sally, And Captain Jack.

This year we would like to meet Pooh and Friends for sure. We will be going to the second parade, watching the fireworks and trick or treating! The trip will be my daughter(17) and myself. We are so excited. I would like to get one of the popcorn buckets this year, last year we did get a pin and the AP tshirt.

How early do you think we would need to line up for 7 dwarves. We are going on the Aug 25th party and I am trying to minimize total wait time. I will be alone with a seven year old. Dwarves are a priority meet for him.

I'm trying to estimate some wait times for some character greetings that aren't the big names (like Jack & Sally, 7 Dwarfs, etc).

Has anyone 'rope dropped' a group like Minnie with Donald & Daisy? Is that necessary? Kenny the Pirate has a list from last year of approximate wait times for characters from last year's first party (I'm going on 9/1 so I assume it will be similar). Probably my must-meet characters for this party are:

Minnie w/ Donald & Daisy
Mickey
Ariel (I know she can be met during reg. park hours but I'll be dressing in an Ariel-inspired costume so I want to grab a shot)
Gaston w/ village Belle

Can anyone comment on approximate wait times and which one of these I should get in line for first? Do any of them see super short wait times toward the end of the party?

Thanks all!

I'll be happy to add my two cents here and welcome any feedback from others.
Ariel - Visit her between 4-6
Minnie, Donald & Daisy - Get in line about 6:15-6:30 Keep your eyes on the crowd level.
Mickey - Get in his line immediately after a parade; September 2016 8:30pm and 11:15pm.
Gaston w/Village Belle - I would save for later in the evening, their wait time held high for majority of the night last year and many reported seeing them with minimal waits closer to the end.
I don't know what KtP has the character's wait times listed but he is quite the Character Guru I would use them:flower3:

I look forward to meeting the new characters at HS too! Your plans for the MNSSHP sound wonderful! I hope they have a new design for Mickey PC but in earnest I think we'll see the same one from last year in burgundy. The color reminds me of the Tower of Terror popcorn::

2016 the Dwarfs came out at 6:20, so line up at 5pm or earlier like around 4:30ish or 11pm prior to the last parade I'm not sure when they close the line. Just keep a watch for the crowds.

EDIT: Since you mentioned Snow White I will say that many reported her line as being very short later in the evening. ;)

A Blast from the Past - Costumes I've sewn over the years.
DS lion was really tricky it was hard finding the yardage for all the ribbons it required. DH-Scarecrow and I was Dorthy cannot believe I have ZERO pictures of us in our Wizard of OZ costumes!>:(

For Buzz Lightyear I created a pattern based off the original movie. Disney did not offer a sewing pattern for that. Grandpa was Stinky Pete!

Lego Ninjago was a lot of fun! DH-Sensi Woo, DS-Kai and I was Nya (Kai's sister). First time I wore a wig for late October we were very comfortable! I did not sew my husbands white karate gi that was purchased at his dojo but I did sew my son's red one and made the patch. Oh wow! The price for DS foam sword has skyrocketed!

The staff DH is holding belonged to my late father. It's from Japan and it was purchased at Mt. Fuji in 1955. Mt Fiji had Stations set up on the trail leading to the top. At each station or hut you passed, you could pay 200 yen and get a stamp woodburned onto your stick. Check out this link for more info.:

I had some costume ideas but now I am really concerned about the heat in august. I was thinking about Disney bounding Snow White and have my son dress up like a dwarf.

I think Disneybounding is perfect for the hotter temps that's exactly how I would play it too. Someone posted pictures of their Mona costume and that looks comfortably cool.

@Nhebron here's a great link to several ideas - LOVE IT!

You are super talented for making these super cute costumes! They look amazing!!

We lined up for the dwarfs at 5:30 (a bit later than planned) and met them around 6:45. To maximize party time, definitely line up early.

We walked into the Snow White M&G right before the first parade and there was no one in line. She spent a good 10 minutes with us and we got over 30 PP pictures!! (We were dressed as Snow White, Evil Queen and 2 dwarfs.)

We are attending two parties. I am planning to meet J&S on one day and 7 Dwarves on another day. Hoping to meet them before the party starts and we can line up for other characters around 7. Then we will spend the rest of the night trick or treating and Magic shots. Must ride HM. We are not parade or fireworks people but it seems these should not be missed. Probably we will go by the ear with these. If we miss anything at the first party then we will aim for those at the second party.

We attended Villains Unleashed and were disappointed. Never got to meet any characters because the lines were too long and the ones we wanted to meet closed their lines early. The best experience was dining at Brown Derby. It took up lot of time lining up to get into the restaurant, but the food was great and the atmosphere was amazing! I hope we will be more successful with MNSSHP this time.
