I think Peter Pan, BOG dinner, Illuminations and Rivers of Light are my most over rated experiences. Just don't get the appeal at all.

For me it's the fireworks shows. Yes, they're pretty, but to me fireworks are a "seen one, seen 'em all" thing. My only magical moment with fireworks was at DLR when DS and I were riding Big Thunder and the fireworks were going off just as we were climbing the first big hill. That was nice.

I bow to your impressive skills. You changed my mind on many. Thank you. Truly. You pointed out things I'd had forgotten after many trips under my belt. Sometimes we need to look at things from a newcomer's eyes again and we realize maybe they aren't so overrated after all.

For truly over-rated, for me it's FEA... I thought the queue area was better than the ride itself. And while I totally get why it's a hit with it's target fan group, I really want Norway and Maelstrom back.

For things a lot of people like but I just don't get, it's a tie between Fantasmic and the Parades (except for Boo to You which I adore). Fantasmic is a one and done for me, at least it's contained in a theater where it doesn't impact my plans at all, but a couple trips ago I got stuck by Electric Light and it took weeks to get the music out of my head.

Ha, well thanks! I actually don't like some of them (and there was one I removed because I didn't want to take the time to defend it!) but just thought I'd have some fun with it.

Another vote for Poly... We saved up for this for a long time and got a great CL rate. Room was very outdated and there was never any room at the pool. We had to hunt down chairs on the beach every day and on some days there were not any. Not even one for the three of us to share. On a positive note CR and WL were awesome!

I can't believe no one has mentioned Toy Story Midway Mania.

For a while it had the longest wait in all of The World. Requires a first tier fastpass. And what do I get for waiting in line or using a valuable fastpass? An opportunity to frantically pull a little lever as fast as I can, wearing out my right arm. Then, at the end of the ride, I face the disappointment that all of my effort and energy has resulted in nowhere near the high score of the day.

Somehow I missed the person who said this. In order to be overrated it has to be something that the majority likes but you dislike, right? So who said 60 min waits are overrated? Does anyone actually like those? I guess maybe I'll have to read back to understand how that made the list cause I don't get it
I didn't judge them, I just tallied them up:

Anything with over a 60 minute wait. There are some good rides with those types of waits, but no ride is worth waiting that long (for me).

I have to say it's the character meet & greets. :duck: Nobody in my family likes them but everyone on here seems to LOVE them. I just can't get the thought out of my mind that there is a (possibly disgruntled) 20-something standing in an uncomfortable costume, trying to be cool with 1,000 people hugging him/her and taking pictures. I can't meet face characters either. All I think about is how they DON'T look like their characters. Both are weird for me.

I know ... flame on!

I'm going to say something that hasn't been said yet I believe (did a quick scan of the thread). Hopefully I won't offend anyone! I've only been to Disney World once (so far) so everything was very hyped up for me. Out of all the main attraction type things I'd say the one that I didn't understand all the hype around was Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. It was a fun ride but I never felt like I was actually doing anything on the ride. I could rarely tell if I was shooting where I wanted to shoot. It just felt a little frustrating. We will go back on it on our next trip to try it some more though. Maybe I'll start to get the hang of it.
