Andrew Zimmern's new show. Love the history lesson along with some yummy food.
That looks interesting! I know I’m not who you were replying to but thanks!Since you enjoy food history you might enjoy a book by Waverly Root called "Food".

Who/what is Mayo head?
My two favorites are Anne Burrell and Alex Guarnaschelli. For both of them the reason is that, beyond the tough exterior, they have a really warm side. I remember Anne Burrell on some show where chefs were trying out for a job as a chef at a particular restuarant and she was so supportive. Alex G, I saw her as a tough, almost rude, judge on "Chopped" until I saw her on some other competition show, where she was competing and lost. Then she became one of the biggest supporters/helpers for the person who beat her (I'm thinking it was my hometown boy, Geoffrey Zakarian).
DH & I are big fans of Top Chef. We both like Tom Colicchio.
My girls watch all the cooking/baking shows. I tease them but find myself watching things like “Cookie Baking Challenge” when I have a TiVo full of first run TV yet to watch. I like Master Chef and Gordon Ramsey. He reminds me a lot of my dad in the kitchen. Nicest guy ever but brutal on the line. I also like Aaron Sanchez.
I don’t like Ina either...Guy Fieri
Bobby Flay
Gordon Ramsey
Ree Drummond
Duff
I actually get a lot of info that I use from Ree. Not always recipes but definitely techniques and ideas and of course, several full on recipes.
Would love to go to restaurants owned by Bobby and Gordon.
Duff and Guy, I just like. They seem like people that would be enjoyable to be around.
My least favorite and the only I one I actually refuse to watch is Ina Garten. Sorry, but her refusal to do a wish for Make A Wish, just turned me off of her forever.
I like his history. He seems like he’d be tough on you in the kitchen but only because he wants you to succeed. I also love the way he says, “tacos.” He makes my favorite all time food sound sexy.I love the way Aaron's name is pronounced. I just like the mouth feel of it. Now my cat is looking at me weird as I say it over and over.
