I love credit cards so much!

Thanks! How many UR points does the CIC $300 bonus translate to?

30,000 UR or 50,000 UR if you get a Business Relationship Manager to give you the offer in branch. The CIP also has a 100,000 UR offer in branch with a Buisness Relationship Manager. I don’t know if you would be comfortable going in branch if you have a “buisness” though.

@mefordis

The CSP offers 5k UR for adding AUs to a card. Don’t add a spouse because that will count against 5/24. You have kids, right? Add them. Chase does not require AU’s SSN and has no minimum age limit. It’s never too early to start building your kids’ credit.

Wow, that is an interesting idea! So, if I add my 14 year old as an AU, she all of a sudden gets a credit score?

What are some things to do to ensure we don't attract Chase's attention as abusing their offers, since we are going to hit them hard this year with all these cards for my husband?

Thanks!

She might. If that does happen, she will thank you when she turns 18.

Currently, shutdowns are happening to people with hitting chase really hard, aka all 5 slots within a year or people who apply for a ton of cards past 5/24, then coming back to chase to apply for a non 5/24 card. people also get shut down for unusual high purchases, ms and multiple payments with different banks.

Is there a good way to get discounts or free nights at the Universal hotels that offer Express Pass (Royal Pacific, Hard Rock, or Portofino Bay)? I believe they are all Loews resorts. So far I've really only used Chase SW cards to pay for our airfare to get to Orlando, never for hotels since we have DVC so I feel a little lost trying to look for hotel discounts. I don't have any UR cards currently and won't be able to get any until Oct. which would be after I would need the discounts as I'm looking to add a few nights at Universal on to our June trip. I might be able to convince DH to get a new card, or I could try for a biz card. Thanks for any suggestions! :goodvibes
Another discount is through a thing called Daily getaways. They offer a different travel deal every day for 3 or 4 weeks. I think it's in April.

The last few years (apparently... I only found it last year) they've had a certificate for certain Loews hotels, which includes Royal Pacific, to get two nights for $325. After purchasing I received an email with a form to fill out about when I wanted to stay, and emailed it back. Heard back in about a day that I got my reservation for a Fri-Sat in September. If we hadn't been lugging wedding clothes and 6 bags, I would have done as @gottalovepluto did and stayed somewhere cheaper the first night then gone to check in to RPR in the morning, because your Express Pass is valid all of your checkin/checkout days. Instead we just bit the bullet and paid ~$280 for Thurs night.

They only have so many of each deal each day, though, so you have to be logged on right when they go on sale as it's pretty competitive.

I think I used Daily Getaways to get SeaWorld tickets at an awesome price! I think we were on Spring Break on a Royal Caribbean cruise and I sent a reminder for myself to make sure I ordered them.

You could look into the Capital One Venture card. You will earn 50,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 in 3 months. Since you will also earn 2x for all your charges, you will have a total of $560 to use as a statement credit against your hotel charges. I did this when I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel to wipe away one night's stay (yep, it's THAT expensive, especially in July!). Good luck!

@magickingdomprincess be aware Cap1 will pull all 3 bureaus and most people who apply for this card are denied. No idea why, the DPs are all over the place, but a few people manage to get it (like @Angrose I'm jealous!). I was one of the many who had all 3 pulled and was denied. I'm not saying don't apply I'm just saying FYI.

CSR travel credit question:

Say you book a one night hotel stay and the travel credit covers it. Then, you cancel the booking. Do you get the travel credit back? Or do they just issue a credit to the account?

I've done this. The credit for the booking goes back onto your account. The travel credit doesn't reverse. So you basically get the travel credit and the return credit.

So if I have pre-qualified Cap 1 Venture offer, is that a good sign for getting approved?

Has anyone had a problem transferring their UR points to their AU's loyalty program? I'm trying to transfer UR to AU's (DD's) Southwest RR account and it won't give me the option of her being a recipient of the points. This is with my CSP. I've talked to Southwest for hours already and they don't know what's up, and Chase is blaming it on Southwest telling me that it's a problem on Southwest's side.

I'm able to transfer my UR points from CSR to my AU (DH's) Southwest RR account on that card, that's no problem. It's just my CSP causing me problems.

Cantbypu transfer from csp to csr and then to her rr since it works?

Okay, I think doing the CIP, and hitting that target in 2 months, then the CSR and CSP at the same time will be enough for this year for my husband for 2018. I'd like to do more but don't want to get him banned from Chase.

Good point. Barclaycards are the ones I struggle with. They are so hot and cold with their approvals for me!

Anyone have experience with disputing a charge on CSP (or I guess any card) with Chase? I've never disputed a charge with any card before and just didn't know if there was anything I needed to know/if I was wasting my time.

Side note: Never order anything from Wen by Chaz Dean!!

Chase is fantastic about disputed charges. I've never had them challenge me, and they always reverse the charge.
