Dopey Shenanigans! A Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend TR (Completed-videos added)

ow was the Highway in the Sky? Too bad you didn't get good viewing of it.
It was really a lot of fun! I was a little nervous going into it because I am not an adventurous eater by any means, so I mostly booked it for my husband. The food was dynamic at every stop! Portions were kind of small besides the actual plated dinner at Citrico's, but I didn't mind that actually because I never felt full and by the end I felt perfectly comfortable with the amount I had eaten--not left starving or anything! The drinks were paired to perfection with all the food, and a chef came out at every stop to describe what we would be eating and drinking.

It felt a little bit like a commercial for restaurants along the monorail route, but it certainly got us thinking about places we'd like to come back and try more of! I would highly recommend it!

That’s awesome thanks!

Medals Medals Medals!

Since I am an Annual Passholder I could still go to the parks on this final day. Everyone else couldn't. I didn't have much time so Magic Kingdom it was. I set out to get some more medal pictures as well with low crowds in the morning before parking opening. I also had a FP set up at 9AM for Mine Train.

Main Street Vehicles were out and about...

Christmas tree was still up for now

I headed right towards the castle to place my medals strategically.

A fellow Dopey runner noticed what I was doing and asked if she could take a picture of my medals instead of getting hers all out to do the same. I said sure.

I got some photos with the Partners Statue in the back as well.

I headed off to ride Mine Train as soon as the park opened. Unfortunately the ride didn't open with the park. I got a anytime FP and headed to Space Mountain instead. It was a tiring week to say the least....

IMG_2574JPG.jpg

After that I headed to the hat shop to get my hat embroidered! I just got 48.6 and kind of regret not getting my name too.

IMG_2450JPG.jpg

I browsed in the Emporium and Confectionary until my hat was ready.

It was then time to head out for our 4 hour in advance pick up time for MCO. Was not a fan of this early pick up time. Although it ended up being about 3.5 hours in advance because the driver said they were running behind.

We headed to MCO on the tragical express and boarded our plane at roughly 1:00 I think. I was sad to leave after this amazing marathon weekend but I knew I would be back again soon. Flight was uneventful and we were back in cold and snowy Wisconsin.

Up Next: Final Thoughts and what's next...

Your medals picks were very creative and it was also cool to see that you got your hat embroidered. It looks like you had a great trip!

Always love a good medal photoshoot! Such a good idea to get your ears embroidered...I guess if you wanted to add your name you could do it at a later visit, right? Since you have that shiny new AP and all. ;)

Booo for going home!

I guess I could do it later if I wanted.

Going home to cold weather sucks.

I love all your medal pictures. I laughed at the crazy eyed women and the totally board looking man in your ride vehicle on Space Mountain.

I love your Illuminations photos! This one is really cool with the flower fireworks!

Illuminations has a special place in my heart. I have seen this show many, many more times than any other nighttime show, going back to our trips in the 1980's. Still love it every time!

:goodvibes

That is so cool that you got your own private transport to breakfast.

We were seated and served the typical juice Disney gives at most breakfasts.

By "typical" juice, do you mean "awesome" juice like you get at Kona and Boma?

I enjoyed reading about the Bon Voyage breakfast since I haven't read much about it.

:thumbsup2
