** OPENING DAY PRICING MID 2019: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

If you are using a TA that is one of the options not available to you - your TA should be able to swap sides for you though easily if one is available!

Caught up to here!
When I go in I dont see a change stateroom option. I want to change mine because I’m on the port side for the 8 night Mediterranean in/from Rome and I think starboard is better.

I have been to Civitavecchia (Rome) 3 times with Disney and it really doesn’t matter which side of the ship you are on as it is an industrial port with not much to see. If you are sailing south to Naples then port side will give you a wonderful view of Mt Vesuvius on the way in.

A big thank you to my DU TA who worked very hard on Wednesday for me. Unbelievable what they are going through right now.

Silver Wonder 06/17/19 5B 2A $9,680 Ins / no Trans / OBB

Want to look at fall prices for a 7-night in the warm weather but for now, I have always wanted to see Alaska.

Thanks! What about when you are just sailing? Will one side see ore coastline than the other. I’m thinking when you are going north making your want to Barcelona the starboard side would be better?

EXTREMELY disappointed in what our TA got for us yesterday.
she was unable to get the category we wanted.
one room is 9b - what we wanted, but the other two rooms are 9C, meaning not midship and for basically the same exorbitant price as the 9B (which is midship and has a bigger porthole and bigger room). Makes no sense at all.

Given the TA's claim that the disney site was a mess on silver CC day, i'm wondering when exactly she booked our rooms (at the very end of the day?)

i'm so upset.

i'm in the fight of my life right now against extremely aggressive triple negative breast cancer and i was hoping for this to be the big celebration of the whole family.

yes, i'm sure it sounds like i'm upset over nothing, but if it's not midship it's a dealbreaker for us.

oh well....i guess we can go to disneyland paris and ride the eurostar instead....it will work out a lot cheaper....

i'll post the prices later.....crazy high for a 7 night cruise to not the best ports in the world.....

Based on the new prices today….What does everybody think is the best deal for everything, the best value

I’ve been on the fence, platinum member, but I’m seeing some cruises in September that I might check out.

If they follow a similar track and are going directly to Barcelona, they will likely go diagonal through the Med and not hug the coast.

After 14 months of planning and waiting and lots of stress trying to decide what to do,what room, what cruise.
we went online at 1130-GMT-im in england and the prices where up.
so instead of waiting we went ahead and booked and went for a lot higher cat then we where going for

now we have 448 days to go and still have to add flights, hotel but at least we are booked

and now i'm irritated because i see that a room next door has much better storage than the one she took....and it is available (or was 5 minutes ago)...
so for an incredible $9,000 for 7 nights in lousy ports with less storage than the room right next door....why?

Pretty sure you can ask her to move your stateroom at your 3 day hold price. I doubt most of them know how much storage is in each individual room. Did you ask for extra storage space?

Also we had 3 TAs from different agencies trying to book yesterday (for various family units traveling together). The Dreams agent is the only one of the three that got through. I know one of them was on hold over 6 hours and then got dropped and had to start over. I’m sorry you are dissatisfied but just getting the hold and getting you locked in was a challenge yesterday.

I'm so sorry this happened, especially with everything else going on for you. I would email the TA and ask her to change your rooms. My TA was on hold all day yesterday. She booked our rooms and I was happy until I saw what was available today and I asked her to move us. Now that general booking is open, the TAs have full access to what's available. I don't think they did yesterday. It could also be that platinum and gold members have made their decision as to which sailing they'll take and rooms are opening up. Room availability is very fluid. You've locked in pricing at opening day rates - for me, that's the most important thing. Now you have a year to get the exact rooms you want.

I honestly never knew different staterooms in the same category have different amounts of storage. I thought they all had the same.

it's not "extra storage space", it's a defective room with less storage space than all the others due to the screwball structure at that particular part of the ship, but for which they charge the same rates. Not exactly fair.

neither did i - but when i didn't get the right category i started looking at what the new category meant and the particular rooms that were booked.
If you look at this webpage (right on the dis- or rather WDWinfo, but same thing) there are stateroom reports that are very helpful

I am familiar with the review site. I have never seen storage issues - other than people expecting a hotel room rather than a cabin.

I’m sorry you are disappointed. It sounds like maybe you should book on your own rather than using a TA in the future - especially if you are not happy with her work.

i had a placeholder with them.

storage - what they used to call a steamer trunk, but has since been replaced by a dresser - set of drawers, whatever it's called.
it makes a difference on a 7 night cruise to have that drawer space, especially with 4 people in the room (particularly when the one of the four is in diapers with all the crap that goes with that including lots of clothes for her and her 3 year old sister)..

without that dresser, your storage is reduced by about a third....might not be a big deal for 2 people, but definitely will make a difference to a family of 4.
