Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

CL benefits and potential EMH have swayed me to change our 4 night BC/3 night Poly CL to a 3/4 split for more Poly time. I justified it that Fri might be EMH at MK so it's a better switch day than Sat and we didn't plan on F&W on Fri anyway :rolleyes1 ...but let's be real- I just saw too many wonderful reviews and beautiful Poly pics and before I knew it  3 nights just weren't enough!

There's my favorite pic! :cloud9:

Me too! I love to stand there at 6am and just enjoy the beauty!

@huntconn the above picture speaks volumes.

I am going back to poly cl this summer for my 7th cl stay in 5 years. I prefer poly in the summer months for pools, beach , transportation and view of castle.

Lounge is spacious and food is convenient.

Again: that view:cloud9:

So, we've always hoped to get to a hallowe'en party one day, but always thought we'd have to wait till I retired (teacher). Between work, DD university and DD sports, we're always back home just before the parties begin. But, this year, Disney put a party on the 17th! However, we also have booked CL for the first time ever at BC (we love BC, but it's our first time doing CL) and we are so excited about it. We have 10 nights at PORS (and lots of park days) and thought 3 nights of BC CL would be so relaxing to end our trip (using pool, lounge, wandering in /out of Epcot, walking the Boardwalk). Now I need to decide if the hallowe'en party is worth leaving BC for an evening when we are only there for 3 evenings. So, for those of you who have done both CL and the hallowe'en party, which do you prefer? I know they're almost impossible to compare, but still wanted to ask your thoughts. I really think I am leaning towards not doing the party (which is crazy because we've always wanted to do it). Ahhh! It's a good problem / decision to have to make but still tough to decide. TIA :-)
I'm not sure of your travel dates but are you able/willing to change the date when you switch hotels? This way you won't feel guilty for giving up CL resort time while going to the party. This is assuming the party is on the first night of your club level stay.

I don't think you can ever have too much Poly time :goodvibes. Congrats on the change!

Such a peaceful pic :cloud9:.

Pics like this get me even more excited for my first Poly CL stay in October :).

:thanks:This is what I think is the best idea too! But, with flights already booked and commitments that we need to be home for, I'm unable to extend our vacation (the party is on the first night of our CL stay). I am debating just doing standard BC room on party night and then moving to CL in the morning. This would mean one less evening of CL, but the party would be worth it I think (and I won't feel guilty or as if we're missing out on something:-))

I mean stay another night at your first resort (was that POR?) and subtract one night from your club level stay.
Flights stay the same.

Do all the CLs have the texting service now? I know it went into testing a couple years ago (and was running at BC CL last Nov and I used it a few times) but I was wondering if it’s a feature for all the CLs yet?

Individual IPOs were replaced by a new service in early 2017 called Disney Signature Services (DSS). It's effectively the same thing, just a centralized planning office that serves all CL (and select other) guests rather than being resort specific.

Here is contact info:

Disney Signature Services
(407) 939-7777
disney.signature.services@disneyworld.com

Some guests hear from them in advance via a phone call, some guests get a postcard, some get both, some get none of the above! But don't worry, feel free to reach out to them at any time.

Hope that helps.
I just emailed them and got a reply in 10 minutes. Turns out that across international borders, I’m Canadian, marketing laws do not let them contact me without consent. So, I had to contact them first and now that I have they can contact me in the future. Good for international customers to know.

This is great information. Thanks!

Hey friends! We have narrowed down our choices for CL for our upcoming trip and would love your help on deciding between CL at Beach Club and CL SV AKL. We have stayed AK CL before and really loved it. Should we try BC or stick with what we know and love? We plan on staying at the resort mostly (no parks) just pool and relaxing. We will take advantage of all offerings and love the included wine and beer. We would like a room close to CL lounge. WHich do you like best and which would you recommend?!

We like them both. We've enjoyed the food offerings at both. AKL gets the edge for us if we plan on a lot of resort time and want a destination. We like to sit on the balcony and watch the animals, talk to the CMs from other parts of the world, explore the resort. We really like Jiko and Boma for dining options. If we plan to be out and about then BC would be our first choice. We really feel at home at BC. We love the walk into EP and HS. We really enjoy SAB. We've had some really good food in the lounge. We like being able to go to EP to eat, both QS and TS. We enjoy Crews Cup, Beaches and Cream and Yachtsman. Walking over to the Boardwalk is nice and you could go to Jellyrolls for entertainment or Swan/Dolphin for other options . Both great options!

Never stayed AKL CL but did a week at BC CL last year. Honestly, I’d go AKL. BC CL was ok, but nothing I’d want to spend all day with. They close for an hour after breakfast, they close for an hour before appetizers, the staff was especially unhelpful (I know CL staff of WDW are known for being pretty useless but this was next level unhelpful: when we got our room the CL CM told us “we’ve been having trouble with that door maybe the battery or something”. Literally went to our room, couldn’t get in, went back to the CM who came & opened the door no issues. After a couple days of issues we called maintence ourselves to change the battery. No issues after that, maintence was there in 15 mins. The CL CM should have done that LONG before we were forced to- heck any front desk CM should have been able to fix that for a guest!). The pool system was cool indeed at BC so with the right age kids I might do BC but for young kids who need eyes on them, or just for adults, the AKL pools are more manageable/nicer atmosphere. (We did a couple nights AKL standard view room so am a bit familiar with the resort.)

I think for a no parks trip....AKL is very tough to beat. There's just so much to do at the resort, it's like a destination within a destination. Since you've stayed there before you know your room could be a long hike to the lounge but other than that, everything seems to match up with your wants.

Never been to AKL CL, but we have a trip there booked where we have no plans to go to a park. We're doing some other stuff around Orlando (shake things up a bit) and also plan lots of resort time. AKL seemed like a good no-park choice for us. Hoping that logic works out! :-)

It's very nice. Take the time to read the lobby exhibits, fascinating. Club level was great, we didn't mind the hike to it, the atmosphere and music are so cool. We always used the back staircase to CL, much better than taking the elevator, IMO
