Anyone do online check in lately? I just went to do mine and under room requests drop downs there's nothing to select on the drop down! Ugh!

Sounds about right. That whole section has been broken going on 2 years now. The options are pretty useless anyway even when they populate. It's why I've always called our requests in. Then I don't have to worry about the extremely limited and prepopulated options.

Thanks guess I'll have to call. I did online check in last June (2017) for the poly and it let me select balcony and upper floor. But this year there's nothing to select! Bugger!!!!! Thanks...

I don't know for sure but I don't see why not. We have used the bed rails and I believe they slip under the mattress. The only issue may be the mattress is not as heavy or thick as a regular bed to keep it in place. I am sure housekeeping van help you set it up. they are good like that.

How old is the child sleeping in the bed? It is really close to the ground so if falling off is an issue maybe you could also ask for some more pillows to put on the floor just in case! Maybe wouldn't work for a child under three but anything over would most likely be fine.
I’ve used bed rails on the resorts daybeds (CR & BWI) and they worked great but it almost looks like the mattress of the pull down bed sits in a little box so I wasn’t sure if it would work. DS is 3, almost 4 but we just recently put the toddler rail on his crib so he’s not used to sleeping without support. We’ll figure something out if it doesn’t work!

I was watching a video on YouTube yesterday, and a family used one on a pull down at BCV, and they look the same, so they should work here too!
That’s good news! I’ve literally been searching for some info on this for months and have come up with nothing lol.

Looking to rent points from a friend for the first week in May of 2019. The Poly is not his home resort. Do I have a chance for availability at 7 months out?
WB
I would say you have a fair chance, but i would provide back up options or be open to a split stay. I own, booked our home AK at 11 months and then at 7 months (for our trip mid April) i switched our first 3 nights to poly.

What number do I call to make my room request? The main disney number 407-939-5277 and ask for reservations? Or the resort number 407-824-2000?

I have until September to hopefully find a little later time.....Hoping for someone to cancel. We have never been to Ohana so I would like to try it...
I'm sure you'll be able to move it a bit later. Just use the Touring Plans Reservation Finder and that usually does the trick!
The TP Res finder was AWESOME when I needed a BOG dinner res a couple months before my trip. It texts you when something pops up- it was amazing. I had to try and few times since I was never fast enough but I finally snagged what I needed. It's not 100% but you still have a good amount of time on your side!

They have for me multiple times.

No. I went in first and got the pass.

Yup. Not the Valet guys fault. Mentioned to the Concierge that it's so not cool that it's costing me $$ to park as a registered guest (you know, when that sort of thing was included in the room cost) and she gave my group 3 anytime FPs each time we had to Valet. So I was cool with that.
This really puts me at ease. We are driving from Connecticut in July, and I really don't want my husband to have to deal with no place to park after two days of driving. It's good to know that the Concierge will handle it.

Have a question about Touring Plans reservation finder. A few years ago there were a few websites and apps that let you do basically the same thing. If I remember correctly Disney shut them all down. How is this different from them? Don't get me wrong I will sign up before my stay to take advantage and get the reservations that I want.

IIRC, those sites made actual reservations and then distributed them (or sold them) as they saw fit. The sites would reserve multiple times/dates and then redistribute the reservation. Touring Plans merely searches the reservations and then notifies those seeking the ADR that it has become available and they may be able to book. I have used it a few times and always found what I wanted, e.g., BOG. It may take many tries to actually get the ADR because others are also seeking the same date/time so you need to be quick to respond when you are notified.

Coming out of lurkdom because we’re rapidly approaching ADR time for our upcoming stay at the Poly! It will be just me and my partner and this is our first time staying there, a dream come true for both of us. We’re two ladies in our mid 30s, no kids (but kids at heart!), just looking to have a fun/romantic time. Partner has not been to the World since she was a child.

I just had some questions. We’re seriously debating skipping the ADR madness for ‘Ohana and just trying the Twilight Feast, do you think it’s worth missing the ambience/entertainment of the restaurant? And how much should we order for the feast? I’m kinda apprehensive about so much food for two people.

Also wondering about the Oasis patios since we plan on a pool day for down time. How much would it cost and how can we book?

My personal view of Ohana is that the restaurant is very loud, seating runs late, and with a party of 2 you might get a table for 2 along the wall well away from the windows overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon.

The Twilight Feast allows you to have a private dining experience in your room, quiet and just the 2 of you. As to how much to order that really depends on how much you both can eat at dinner time and what you plan to do later as it can be quite a filling meal. At Ohana's you get unlimited offerings and for your Twilight Feast you get quite a large single offering.

There are only 3 pool patio structures available at the Oasis pool. the latest prices for 2018 are about $75 per day / about $60 per half day and higher during peak season(s). Call 407-WDW-PLAY ((407) 939-7529) to make reservations. All rentals can be made up to 180 days in advance, and they must be prepaid when reserved. Reservations can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24-hours in advance of the rental date. You can also make reservations via the concierge desk at the Great Ceremonial House.

Thank you so much! The feast definitely sounds more our speed. We’re trying to get California Grill for fireworks during dinner so I wouldn’t be upset to miss it at ‘Ohana.

Stayed at the Poly 6 years ago. Just got back from GF and did love it but found myself missing the POLY ambiance. The only thing about the POLY is that we found our room very drab and dated, and dusty even. Supposedly it was renovated (we were in Tokelau) but it seemed run down to us. Thinking of our next trip and wondering any plans for the Poly to renovate rooms? Have any rooms recently been renovated?
