Disney Gift Card Deals

Has anyone tried the Target "Red card 5% plus extra 5%" deal for this week? It's supposed to end Sat. 4/28. I have two Targets near me (sort of) so rather than driving there I called. Both of them said any pre-load cards are excluded. Then I specifically asked about gift cards, then entertainment cards. Both said no. Anyone had luck with this?

YMMV, but I tried this today and it didn’t work. I spoke with the manager on duty, who accused me of gift card fraud when I tried explaining the distinction usually made between entertainment and gift cards. *sigh* Curious if others have luck.

Whoa! Sorry about your experience. I was afraid they wouldn't allow it, but I certainly wouldn't have thought a manager would go as far as accusing of fraud. I have 2 Targets in driving distance, but I decided to call and asked for a manager, they both said no, too.

Unfortunately, even though on CouponCabin it shows 10% off, it's coming off as 5% for me on CardCash.

That's odd, did you happen to reach the $10 maximum? You shouldn't see it coming off on CardCash, as Coupon Cabin is a cashback/rebate site like Ebates.

I haven't found a place on property, even Disney Springs, that doesn't seem to take them. Rainforest Cafe will take them and all places in the parks. The only place I ran into an issue was on Main St at the balloon vendor. He had me go to a different person to redeem and then come back and show my receipt. I'm curious if anyone has been told no.

We will be going to Rainforest Cafe at AK and Via Napoli at EPCOT. If we can use them there, that’s perfect!

Just FYI - you can use Landry’s GCs at Rainforest Cafe at AK (Yak and Yeti too). It’s usually much easier to get a more significant discount on Landry’s GCs than Disney GCs.

Don’t ask at Target, they will always say no. Just do it like it’s no big deal. If someone stops you and says no come back after another shift comes on. They are much larger and their managers don’t have as much time to be breathing down employees necks like they are at BB&Bs. A few places systems are still hard-coded to not allow it but like 95% of us are successfully redeeming Target gc for Disney gc again.

So relieved. I had been setting on $1100 worth of Target gift cards back from “the good old days.” I was sick when Target had quit allowing people to use them to buy Disney gift cards. So relieved that I went in one today and bought $900 worth of Disney gift cards. I owe $858 for our upcoming trip. So, that will pay that off. We went to Hawaii last year, and I had just let them sit and sit forever doing nothing with them.

Nothing like bait & switch.

I was able to try it out today and it worked for me. I have the maximum amount of $10 cashback pending for my order, and I was able to checkout with my Chase Freedom using PayPal.

The 10% bonus will not apply like a coupon, you’ll see it as pending cashback. Coupon Cabin is a rebate/cashback site like Ebates. The 5% you’re seeing coming off on CardCash is likely from the promo code.
