Solo: A Star Wars Story

Seriously though...I hope the movie doesn't just consist of checking points off a list.

- here's how han got his blaster!
- here's how han met chewie!
- here's how han met lando
- here how han won the falcon!
- here's where Han's pants come from,!

I just hope the movie doesn't think we need every little thing about him in the originals answered.

Come on, now, I've always wanted to know where Han's pants came from!

I watched the red carpet last night when I should have been asleep.

It seems like they're pushing Donald Glover a lot over Aldenreich. Just a little odd, I wonder how much screentime lando will even get.

I'm one of the naysayers of this movie, bit I'll still be there opening day and give it a fair shot.

I think Donald Glover is more the known quantity and people have more confidence in him doing a good job and a lot of the questioning is around if Aldenreich can pull off Han Solo ... so it sort of makes sense to push him more get people excited about the part they feel more confident about

from the early reviews it seems like Aldenreich does a good job but it takes a while to get used to him in the role, so, for lack of a better way of saying it, by promoting Glover more it let's people ease into the film and accepting Aldenreich over time rather than being singularly focused on him

$475 million worldwide gross.

That's domestic. Per Box Office Mojo, Episode I's worldwide total is $1,027,044,677. That total includes any re-releases including the 3-D version. It's also the best Star Wars movie, so it's well-deserved. :duck:

Another review I read (was just a series of tweets so hard to post/link) is that it might be the most beautifully shot Star Wars movie yet and all the characters and performances are great EXCEPT Ehrenreich. He called it “the Star Wars movie Jake Lloyd has been waiting for”

Now this seems counter to a lot of other takes - but I think there will be some that no matter what he did, would not accept him as Han Solo

I think accepting Alden as Han is going to be the biggest battle of this movie.

NO SPOILERS until everyone's seen it, but I can't wait to see it AGAIN.

Last Jedi got 45% on rotten tomatoes so obviously some people liked it.

Star Wars used to make movies for everyone. Now they’ve decided to push an agenda that, apparently, only 45% of people who watched it want to see.

I just find it crazy that one Star Wars movie turned so many people off. The prequels weren’t good and people survived and moved on. It just seems with the Last Jedi some people were so turned off they don’t want to watch Star Wars ever again.
