Official July 2018 Thread!

I have been cleaning and packing all day. Still have a some things to pack, but I am almost finished with everything I can pack right now. Heading to get pedicures and manicures tomorrow and the going to bed early for our early morning flight on Saturday! Can’t wait to get to the beach club!!!

We will only be there for two days 27th at Magic Kingdom and 28th at Animal Kingdom. We are bringing a double umbrella stroller, we bought it for 10 bucks and have taken it apart and run all the cloth through the washer over all it is in good shape. since it will cost more to ship it home, and we don't really need one outside of Disney we would like to give it to someone else to use while they are there. If you are interested let us know and we can try and meet up either at Animal Kingdom or someplace on our way out.

Anyone else having trouble with the Disney site and app? I can’t log into either one. I have one more reservation I want to cancel before we leave tomorrow.

I'm a little late to the party but we leave in a week. I'm so excited for this trip because I got the flu over our spring break trip and had to fly home :crazy2:. It was so terrible and depressing!!
So we do go to WDW often but we have never been able to score a FP for FoP. We always stay off property and after I book all my FP I seldom change them afraid I won't get them back. That would be the only way to get FoP- stalking the site constantly. Well that's exactly what I did this time. I was determined to finally have my family ride that ride. I just think it's so ridiculous that I need to do that. So frustrating when I hear people rode it 3 or 4x on their trip and I can't get 1 FP!
Well after stalking the site for about a week I scored 2!!

I had trouble earlier - we were trying to look at QS dinner options for tomorrow night and the Stitch "someone ate the page" logo came up for the main Disney page! Super helpful, Disney.

It is back up now. I got the same Stich message earlier. I was able to cancel that last ADR. Now I must try to sleep before our early flight in the morning. Everyone at my house is so excited right now!!!!

Good evening all! I hope everyone is excited about there upcoming trip or is having fun on their trip!

I know this is going to be somewhat of a PSA, but I would like to share some things that I've noticed over the last day or so:
1. Its Florida in July. Its hot and humid! I know this seems like common sense, but I've seen people who look like they just ran a marathon through the desert walking through the parks. Take your time, go at your own pace, and drink lots of water!
2. There are storms! Again, something of a 'duh!' statement, but this afternoon, at Epcot, people seemed amazed that the dark skies opened up and there was falling water. Even if it only lasted a little while. Yesterday was even better, as it rained right before HEA. People seemed to be in awe that there was rain.
3. Transportation is a mess. The buses still seem to be a nightmare. DW (who went to Disney Springs to get a new pair of sunglasses) left Epcot at 8:15PM (I didnt go with her as I was getting something for her as a surprise. Shhhh don't tell @Disneyfan101413 !). As I write this, she is still not back at the resort (about 5 min out, and we are less than a 10 min walk from the bus pickup/drop off). If you are using a bus to go anywhere, give yourself at least an extra 30 min breathing room.

Not sure If there is anything other than that for now. Been a long few days, and I'm looking forward to some sleep! Anyone traveling tomorrow, be safe and have fun! You're on your way!!!

Safe travels! We don't leave until later in the afternoon tomorrow, but I don't know if anyone here is gonna be able to sleep either lol

We aren’t leaving for 11 days, and I haven’t been able to sleep for the past few days. I’m exhausted! I’m trying to get to bed earlier so I can get used to waking up a lot earlier. We are planning on waking up at 3:00am and leaving by 4:00am so that we can get through NY and NJ before rush hour.

Where are you driving from? We usually drive a couple times a year.

We go every July usually for the 4th. I'm sorry we missed the fireworks this year but in the past that week is so crazy I wanted to leave later this year.
Have you noticed a difference in crowd levels from the past time you've been in July. I'm hearing it's not as busy this year. Which I'm really surprised at since TSL opened.
