Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

But is it also okay to ask for cake and cookie outside of the evening dessert time??
We will be out three nights for the night time show with the CL FP+.... don't think will be back by 10pm....

Absolutely. We have asked for things in advance. We have had many CMs going above and beyond to help. One time at the CR we wanted some snacks for the kids on the day we were checking out before the snacks were being put out - the CM was so nice he got us more than we asked for. Enjoy!

I wanted to share a recent experience with Signature Services and how you truly do get what you pay for. Prior to our dining booking, we sent an email with our dining preferences along with calling ahead with our credit card info. We wanted Highway in the Sky as well as the Family Magic tour, 2 Christmas parties and had a handful of signature dining along with some old favorites. We did have popular places with some easy to get into places but were super flexible with dates and times and we told them that.

Lo and behold they were able to get us all but Ohana dinner, they apologized and were able to snag us a breakfast if we wanted but we were pretty set on dinner. They told us to give them some time and they would get back to us. They called us daily to update us on all that they were doing and on the 5th day, they had secured us a reservation at the time we had requested (but said it was not necessary)!!!

I have been 100% thrilled with their services before, but this year they really seemed to have gone over and above. We booked our trip last year before we even left our resort and this year we only called to give our CC information and sent 1 email and they have taken care of so much and all on the right dates and times, without us having to remind them! Next is our 90 day fastpasses and then I will consider this a dream vacation before we have even left! LOL!! I used to think that the planning of a WDW vacation was half the fun, but I'm really liking this too! HAHA!

Thank you for sharing your experience. Didn't know DSS can help with dining reservation... I just sent them an email after reading your post asking for help with getting a reservation at California Grill... currently there is none for the date/time I am looking for. Hope they will keep an eye out for me.

I am curious to know if they do that for you. DSS used to do it and then a few months ago I asked about them checking for California Grill since it was booked and they said via email that they couldn't. I knew I should have called to speak to someone else but I didn't.

Thank you for the tips on getting drinks outside of the cocktail hour....

Plus if your there at the 10-4 snack time you can grab extras for your room. Put them in the paper coffee cups. At WL, the cookie and mini cupcakes was basically a repeat.

will let you know if I hear back from DSS in regards to my request. I am already using TouringPlans and *********** to find the reservation. I thought it won't hurt to try DSS. For this trip, I have a TA who has helped me a lot. I also have TouringPlans subscription for room location request, itinerary and dining reservation. So in comparison, DSS is only useful for managing my CL FP+ which is not a user-friendly program IMOP.... oh well.

Thanks - I have Touring Plans as well but thought they could help - as they always did in the past.

Glad you’re enjoying YC. Waterview club level at YC is my favorite room at WDW. Well, technically, RPC is, but can’t stay there every trip. :rolleyes1 But remember, we don’t like to talk about YC too much around here. Don’t want the secret to get out. :ssst:

After a few hours here I was wondering if YC CL was one of these “the first rule about fight club is don’t talk about fight club” deals around this thread! :-)

We agree. We enjoyed our stays at the YC. Also much better than the BC for friendliness. Before we first stayed there many years ago - people told us it was too stuffy and that the BC was more kid friendly. We found it to be the opposite. We enjoyed our all of our stays at the YC. We met one of the nicest, sweetest and helpful CM there, Regina. We saw her there for a couple of years and I am not sure if she is still there but she was wonderful.

Count me in as another Yacht Club fan. I was hesitant to book this year due to the dog issue, but it sounds like that is going away in Oct.
I'm looking forward to being able to book again! :flower1:

That potato salad is so good, right? Did you get to have the beef (short ribs I think) & mashed potatoes? OMG, the best think I have ever eaten at CL. Hope they have the crepes for breakfast while you’re there too.

Funny you mention the potato salad - DW and I both said it’s among the best potato salad we have ever eaten. I don’t even really like potato salad, but it was seriously good! I would love to get my hands on the recipe.

Hi Everyone.. I’ve read a lot of this thread and wondered if anyone had stayed recently at gf sugar loaf? Some of the less recent reviews have not been great. We’ve only stayed club level at the wl and loved it. We love the gf and have stayed often, but never in sugar loaf or the main building. Any recent insight in to sugar loaf building? Room requests for quieter room away from the lounge? We will be there the week leading up to Xmas? Will there possibly be anything unique to the holidays in the lounge then? Thank you!

Quick observation about a booking experience this trip.

We were at Poly CL Saturday-Friday. Thursday night we decided we weren’t ready to go home yet and wanted one more night, but wanted a new resort just for a change of scene - sort of a “wind down” day if you will.

Wanted BC or YC mainly for the pool and for Epcot walkability, and we’ve never really spent much time at either so a good chance to try something new without the commitment of a longer trip.

No CL rooms were available at either BC or YC online, so booked a non-CL BC Water View room with an AP discount. Online no AP discounts were showing up at YC.

The next morning I called just to see if there was any CL availability at either resort - there wasn’t. But the CM could book non-CL YC Water View at an AP discount (which was $80 better than the BC AP rate) so we changed the reservation to YC.

We checked out of Poly and drove over to YC. I figured it was useless, but at check-in I asked if there was any way they could check to see if I could upgrade to CL. A quick call to the room assignor...and success! There was a Water View CL room available at an AP discount, and it was ready (this was 10:30am,ish).

They quickly made the change, I paid the difference, then they escorted us upstairs. Very easy and very surprised a CL room was available after earlier strike outs online and via phone.

I guess the moral of the story - when it comes to last minute / day of travel and room types/categories, don’t be afraid to keep asking!

What we did: get to the podium at around 4:45pm and ask to sit in the lounge. We had a small table that was fine with plates and drinks for the 5 of us. We liked it better than the regular dining room because we ordered as we liked (didn't put in the whole order at once). First we got drinks and a cheese plate, then some sushi, then desserts. Afterwards you can go back to the park or whatever, come back with your receipt to view the fireworks.

Also get a free (basic) account on Touring Plans and use their free reservation finder. It has worked for me many times, with 5 people! (I see you already did this, good luck!)

Aloha from the Poly! We were pleased that our room ready text came before 9am. We took a Lyft over from AKL (where we stayed last night) and arrived in time to enjoy a quick breakfast in the lounge. Not a bad way to start our day. Relaxing at the resort all day until DAH tonight.

Perfect view of the Oasis pool from our room (garden view).
