'Morning all...
Trying to get ahead at work in preparation for taking a spot of time off...
(kind'a defeats the intended purpose of vacationing)
Think I steal a bit of time and talk to y'all anyway.
(not that I'd be listening f I were any of you.)
I've never turned on the tap in my house and not have water come out. It does make me appreciate what I have even more.
Appreciation of our gifts is always a good (and often sobering) notion.
Oddly, I've been in situations without water on a number of occasions.
Lived in a house with a well when I was young and had the pump go out. A bit later on the check valve failed (that took a while to get repaired). Now-a-days it's more similar to the problem y'all encountered. The water mains in town are very old and we end up having to make repairs that shut the whole town down three or four times a year. (Infrastructure maintenance requires public funding, but those two words are seen a profanity down this way.)
But enough of this, there's James Brown in a Reverend outfit to watch.....
that can make a lot of things better
(if only for a minute or two)
Cast came off yesterday, now in a boot with wedges, but off the crutches so, progress.
And that is a good thing.
May the healing continue and do so quickly.
Nope, I think we are holding our own in the "My great great great great great grandma got knocked up by Charles II, so I therefore lord over all aspects of life without achieving anything, milk the state with my moody tax schemes and drive round in state sponsored cars, whilst demonising people who are trying to earn for a living" stakes. Their sense of entitlement is as craven as it is galling. I don't know what's particularly kicked me off this week, but I am actually angry.
We don't have "titles" per say but don't think for a minute that we don't have a class structure.
Everything else in that description applies here just a fiercely.
easier to explain sports in this office than something like the Blues Brothers.
Demolition Derby!
That's a sport!
Happy Birthday Mr. Belding!
What he said.
Have a happy day, sir
(And I promise that I for one am not carrying a shiv at the moment)
And yet we still play the game.
(without even a second thought).
I think my points deficit is close to the national debt.
So, situation normal then.
You certainly ain't alone.
