Today was successful. I had three Fastpasses at Epcot and then @bernina trasnfered me fastpasses for Alien Swirling Saucers and TSMM. Unfortunately, Slinky Dog went down but when we got off TSMM at 10:25 we saw it up and running. we ran and made it on the standby line before the park closed. It only was about a 25 min wait. It’s such a fun family coaster and it’s pretty intense considering the 38in height requirement. Toy Story Land was dead at 10 PM for a 10:30 closing. One person was ahead of us at Woodys lunchbox. 10 min waits for TSMM and AS2 at about 10:15. Definitely would recommend doing the land right before closing. It looks cool at night too.

Glad the trip is turning out so well. Your experience has me re-thinking my touring strategy for our Christmas trip. We have traditionally been "rope-droppers," which worked well when you could collect paper fast-passes and use them throughout the day. The earlier you got to the parks, the sooner you could start collecting them. But with the new fast-pass system, I'm thinking it might not make as much sense to be at the park at 7 am. Maybe better to sleep in a little and plan to stay later.

The only time we make rope drop is out at Disneyland when we aren’t adjusted to the time zone lol. Originally, we planned on going to Hollywood tomorrow for the extra magic hours at 7 am but we didn’t originally think we would do everything in toy story land tonight. We may go again depending on how we feel tomorrow and I can report back on which was the better experience. I have heard TSL is hot in the morning and afternoon with little shade and the lights around the land really add to it. The slinky coaster lights up the track as it goes by too. Idk what the wait times are like in the am, but the waits tonight were crazy low for a new land.

I checked out GCs at our local Walgreens but didn’t find anything I can use now. I don’t need Disney GCs right now. Restaurants are Discover bonus. So I need something for everyday expenses like groceries. I didn’t really expect Walmart or Target but has anyone seen grocery store GCs at Walgreens?

I have not seen grocery store GCs at Walgreens, but you can buy Amazon GCs to load to your Amazon account and then buy Albertsons/Safeway GCs on Amazon using your Amazon GC balance with free shipping for Prime members. That’s what I’ve been doing so far to buy Albertsons GCs. Have turned $600 in Amazon GCs purchased at Walgreens into $600 in Albertsons gift cards (and actually only paid $470 due to the recent Amazon/Amex offers (used 1MR point on each of the two transactions and paid the rest through my Amazon GC balance)).

Uh basically lol.
Yeah... after looking at the apptonight at the wait times for DAH... think I'm going to book it and try to surprise Dh.. I was pretty torn about when to buy because were going to upgrade to APs on our trip and you save $30ish a ticket... but now i dont want to miss out!

Mine had whole foods but that was all. I'd go for Visas if none of the stores/restaurant ones interest you. If you can get a $500 Visa that's about 2530 URs. You could even cash out to cover the fees and still have almost $30 in URs.

I'm skipping Disoccer because I'm not in my first year. I'm going to do restaurant plus store gift cards as needed, Lyft on our trip inSeptember, and finish what's left with Disney or Visa. It will depend on if I use my current gc stash towards our Sept trip or save them for our cruise next summer.

But my lowes had Kroger, Albertsons, and Safeway... I plan on getting those for groceries through november.

Definitely do DAH! My oldest and I were on a trip in Spring 2016 when they first offered it. So much fun...couldn’t wait to experience it with whole family so when they offered it in January 2017 I booked a trip. Then they announced last fall for this past January. Guess what the Christmas present was from Mom and Dad last year? I just had to do DAH one more time.

Book it now and if you do upgrade to AP’s when you get there Disney will refund the difference. Although the experience is not as empty as the first time we did it (when it was brand new) it really is a lot of fun.

It's been pretty terrible to be honest, so I hope the chair helps.

I was honestly panicking about if this keeps dragging on that I won't be able to fly to Disney in the fall, etc. Probably irrational but still.

I go to the chiropractor every 2 weeks, I could probably stretch it further but my back muscles get unhappy and I also run and just started training for a half so I like to keep things in line. Some days there's no problem, sometimes it's from how I sat or too much standing. The last trip to WDW Nov 16 I was fine, it was after I came back that it got worse. I'm still not fully sure the main reason other than needing to work on my core more (which either isn't helping or I'm not doing enough). Anyway, I was worried about the long flights from SEA to Paris, 5 park days, though 2 were short, and 3 days in the city, so tons of walking and being bounced around on rides. I had no issues and felt great the entire trip, even on the plane. Then I come home and it gets cranky again. I hope the chair helps!

I did see Whole Foods gc at walgreens but I figured I’d be disowned by a certain friend if I bought them :)

This is me! I try to keep moving to minimize.

Yes you’ll have so much fun! We have 4 days until we leave for our short weekend trip and I’m seriously so excited! It’s gonna be warm but I’ll deal. I’m not sure if I want to pack tank tops or try to wear t shirts.

Ugh, I woke to a fraud alert from Chase at 4 am on my phone. It was my 1st Plastiq payment for my county real estate taxes. So I responded back that it is a valid purchase when I just woke up but Plastiq let me know that the payment failed. Wondering if I need to set-up a new payment...

Yep, I first blew my back out running - overtraining after my first half.

So now I have to take it much easier. Glad you were able to make that flight. The last time we went to Hawaii I was terrified of a flare up but I was okay (I was also in lie flight first, which helped I'm sure). Next summer to Barcelona I will not be lie flat - but hopefully I can get on a more regular regime to get things normal before then. I need to up my core workouts and start up daily yoga again.

I have never been to a chiro but everyone tells me I should!

Sorry to threadjack everyone!

I did see WF but I don’t shop there. I’m more an Aldi girl. Lol.
I never end up actually saving money on Visa GCs, maybe break even because of fees. Ugh. The bonus categories are a bust for me this quarter. And I am in the first year of my Discover but we don’t eat out much.

I'm trying to decide on my next card and would love some input please. :goodvibes
Current cards I have:
Chase Marriott Biz
Amex SPG Biz
Amex Hilton Biz
Chase SW Biz
Chase SW Premier
Chase SW Plus
BOA personal
Discover It
store card

I'm trying to bide my time to get under 5/24 in Oct'ish by only getting biz cards and thinking to go for AA points next. I'm wondering if a good next move would be the Citi 70k AAdvantage offer - $4k MSR/ 4 months, AF waived the first year. Is this a good offer? Also, if I apply for that card, would I also be able to get the Barclay Aviator AA Advantage Biz card? That offer is earn 50k points for any purchase, but $95 AF is not waived the first year., but it does expire before the end of the month. So that would be 120k AA miles and I'd have 4 months to meet the spend, with a $95 AF. Neither would count against 5/24, correct? I haven't seen much chatter about these cards so I'd just like some feedback.

On DOC's list of best biz cards, it actually lists the best Citi offer as 50k = $200 stmt credit on qualifying AA purchase, then requesting to be matched to 70k offer, and still getting the stmt credit. This is a higher offer, but more risky IMO, especially since I don't have an immediate need for AA points or giftcards. Anyone have experience with having this work? Any other cards I should be considering instead? Not looking for any high AF cards right now. As always any advice is appreciated! :thumbsup2

I just got the 70k AA Biz offer. Working on MSR now. I think it’s a good deal. DH had this card last year, Bonus was 60k. I hate calling and never have luck with matching offers, so I went with the 70k offer.
The Citi Card does not preclude you from getting Barclays Card (I held both CitiAA and Barclay Aviator simultaneously) but Barclays may or may not report biz cards to personal credit

I haven't... I just got a $500 visa the other day.... I'll pay the 6.00 fee and use it wherever in the next few months. But I also have a staples and lowes offer on two cards...so I need to go find some gc's there too! I'm gonna spend a bunch and then live on gc for a while....

I just got this as well - 70K AA Biz with AF waived. I think it expires next week. I am planning to DH a card. I am pretty leery of asking to be matched since my experience with the IHG card (got the 60K offer and even after sending a screen shot of the 80K offer was denied by 2 different Customer Reps). @striker1064 suggested getting matched.

No screenshot required. After you've received your card and enroll it in online access, you will be able to send a message to Citi through your account. All you need to do is say that you saw a higher bonus after you applied that offered 70,000 miles, or something to that extent. They will most likely tell you that you'll get the extra miles after you complete your spend (but in reality, many times they deposit the extra miles immediately).

Good luck whichever way you go.

Go find a good chiropractor. I haven't been in years but if it hadn't been for a good chiro I would probably be in a wheelchair at this moment.

During my second pregnancy, I could barely walk without sitting down every 20 feet. My back was a mess. I already had a problem, but this was magnified. Of course everything I complained about was blamed on the pregnancy. Two other children - no problems.

Anyway after it didn't get better and my son was probably 2, I was sent to a chiropractor. The relief was almost immediate. But treatment was continued for some time - we were military and this was a military doctor. Fast forward almost 27 years and no problems! Until, I was rear ended at a traffic stop. This was 4 years ago and my spine was knocked out of alignment. I went through almost 3 months of therapy before the right things happened and things got realigned. Now I am back to what is normal for me with very little pain.
