I have tried reading through the post so sorry if this was answered somewhere else and I missed it. We just booked a 2 night getaway and I really wanted Pop because of the refurbished rooms. I just recently heard that some of the rooms are renovated at Movies. I have never stayed at Movies but I am excited to stay at somewhere new especially if the rooms are renovated. We had to take a preferred room in order to get the discount. Can you tell me if the preferred rooms are renovated? TIA

The Toy Story buildings are preferred and are both done so those rooms are renovated, and they are working on the Fantasia preferred rooms right now.

All of the refurbishment info is on post #1 of this thread. So far, both toy story buildings and one Fantasia building have been completed. They are now working on both of the love bug buildings which are both standard.

If you don’t get a refurbished room go to the front desk and ask if it’s possible to change to one. It worked for me last week! I asked for a room change at Pop and also got what I wanted so I’ve learned that it’s well worth the time and effort to ask. I’m sure it doesn’t always work but we were 2 for 2 on this short trip.

We always go to the front desk too. The cms really do try to meet your needs if you ask nicely.

The side facing bldg 6 seems to be. No paper on any of the windows. 6 had many workers (at 3 pm) and papers on all the windows I could see.

I booked 2 preferred rooms last week and called in advance to request refurbished rooms in toy story section. They didn't honor our request but the front desk did, CMs at movies are rock stars!
