Thanks! AmEx just doesn’t make sense to me. Everything is so inconsistent. Regular spend points, offer credits, MSR bonus points. I met my MSR over a week ago and still no MRs posted.

Same here. I think it's been 2 weeks. I can see all 120K of them sitting there in pending points, though. I don't think they will post until we pay the bill. Unlike many people here, we generally don't pay bills until they are due (eeking out every last cent of interest we can get, I guess) so it will be a while for my points to post.

I was so pi$$ed (I hate to use that word, it is so ugly but describes the experience) that I came home and sold my BCV and SSR. Was truly on the verge of breaking up until I found a great fully loaded (2 yrs) BWV resale deal that I could not resist no matter how mad I was at Disney. I am nervous that our trip in 2 weeks is going to be a repeat.

Hi.another BWV owner We’ve been many times with the magic bands..last visit the end September....no issues getting into the rooms..with a 2 br there seems to be a lead room which you need to open first to avoid issues
Parks..75% of the time we get in first try with the finger scan...but really no issues

I'm a little (okay a lot) worried about the magic band thing -- our last trip was right as they were taking out the paper fast past machines (we actually saw them removing some of them). I hated the whole idea of booking three (and only three, from a certain rigid menu). It seems like the system has improved somewhat, with the ability to book additional FPs on the MDE app.

I still hate the whole idea, though.

But I book our FPs on Monday so I'd better adjust my attitude and just accept that it is what it is.

Are there any other apps I should have besides MDE?

I only have the smallest size but It is very light. They list the weights of all bags so you can tell before ordering which ones are lighter.

How much time after an AMEX app before it usually shows up on your CR? DH applied for the SPG Personal on 10/12 and I would like to sneak another personal app in before it shows up. I'm thinking the Alaska Air personal 40k mailer he received. Does it really even matter if he is 2/24?

How much time would be recommended for my next app after the DD Debacle of 8/28? I am currently 3/24 including the closed CSP.

I absolutely love fp+. Yes, waking up early isn’t ideal but I’m so ocd and having things planned out before my trip makes me so happy. I’m not at all looking forward to the mad dash for FPS in Tokyo.

If you need any help pm me and I can help you. It helps if you have two people who can book FPS at the same time. Dh and I each book FPS on our phones so we can get hard to get rides at the same time.

I don't love having to plan stuff out so far in advance, but we've done a few split-stays with multiple sets of magic bands and we haven't had an issues, either with the rooms themselves or at the parks. We did take a break from WDW when MBs were new and friends were having issues with them, but I had thought that they were working ok at this point.

I don’t think we have ever had problems with magic bands. I think they are so nice. We don’t have to carry hardly anything with us since we can use the bands for most things. I will say when we went in March the front desk cm mentioned she could tell my band wasn’t working and she fixed it right there. Might be worth it to visit the front desk first before going all the way to your room.

I haven’t had any issues on a split stay either (had splits stays in January and July this year).

u usually want to wait 3-4 months... but if your status is okay, then u can... let us know how many cards u have applied in the past 3 months, 6 months and 12 months... This will help us judge your shutdown risk.

Oh my goodness! We had issues getting into the park also in 2014. And it kept happening day after day...they would make us go over to GR where the lines were forever long. Each day they acted like all was well after that, except it wasn't, and we'd go through it all again the next day! The problem ticket was my youngest ds's. And all his fp's were a problem. Thankfully, the CMs waived him through but it just felt like a hassle the whole trip!
