To answer the last question, you can have more than one FP at a time, but with a few caveats.
You can make your next FP, 90 minutes later or when the time window opens, whichever comes first unless the time window is less than 30 minutes in the future. In that case, you can make your next FP, 30 minutes later.
- Example 1: You get a RSR FP at 8:00 am with a 11:00 am return time. You'll be eligible to get your next FP at 9:30 am (90 minutes later).
- Example 2: You get a RSR FP at 8:00 am with a 9:00 am return time. You'll be eligible to get your next FP at 9:00 am (the start of the return window).
- Example 3: You get a RSR FP at 8:00 am with a 8:15 am return time. You'll be eligible to get your next FP at 8:30 am (30 minutes later).
However, if you use the fastpass, you are able to make a new reservation immediately. So in Example 3 above if you get in line at RSR at 8:17am, you can then get a new fastpass right away.

It’ll scan green 5 minutes before and 15 minutes after the time window listed.Interesting and good to know.
Also, assuming things do not change, the FPs tend to be eligible to be used 5 minutes before the window official opens (e.g., if the window opens at 9:00 am, there is a good chance the FP will pop-up as valid at 8:55 am).
You can get FPs as soon as MP is activated for the day, but I don't think return times start until the official opening time. In effect, this means that you can only get one during MM since you can't use it until opening time. However, you can get another right at opening time (assuming that's when your return window opens for the first one you got).
