Congrats! It seems like they go through the ROFR's in batches one week at a time and then send out all the notifications at once.

There's a chance, because the points are so screwed up, that they'd have to combine it with other extra points on order to package it into a contract they can sell direct. So maybe Disney won't want to deal with that. I hope all goes smoothly given that it looks like the seller may have ... issues. Good luck!

The post is just formatted incorrectly, the points are fine.

If the seller agrees to use a title company don't they usually get involved prior to sending the contract to Disney? I know with a broker that's how it goes, but I've never purchased directly from an individual.

Im rooting for you, because I (hopefully) will have a similar "problem" should mine pass (sent 10/18). I'll have 160 points to use by end of January. I've already carved out a weekend in late January for a quick trip, just not sure anything will be available on such short notice. The broker did a good job of managing my expectations, but I'm really hoping to get a "bonus" vacation in January.

Can you even rent them out that quickly with such a quick expiration date? I have not considered that as an option.

I've been reading alot lately on renting on several different boards and it's really a mixed bag. Some seem to be able to rent easily and other have no luck either on their own or using a broker.

Plan to call MS once the contract is in and see if there are any one time options or pixie dust they can give me on them. Would be awesome if they let me use the, for my Oct 2020 trip.. (not going to happen but would be nice )

You CAN rent out points that late, but the trick is to find availability on a night someone wants. Vero beach is wide open.....
Right now there are a couple of sporatic two night groupings in one bedrooms during January. There are two sets of three night groupings in a standard 1 bed at Saratoga, but none that include a Saturday if you're thinking long weekend.

MS Member Services - I'm about a 9 hour drive from Orlando but about 4.5 hours to Hilton Head so a definite maybe.

You can call them and if there is availability they can try to book you, or you can just look online. Once your contract is recorded you will get a member number and information on how to log in from disney and it will take a couple of weeks for your points to be loaded. It can't hurt to call, but sometimes its easier to check online yourself because availability constantly fluctuates you just have be lucky enough to catch it when someone cancels a trip or a night.

They do, some have better wifi than others. The resort board should have a thread for saratoga springs, you could always ask on there what the availability of wifi in the treehouses. It has been about 20 years since I've stayed in them so no wifi back then!

You are correct! Posting general things like you did are okay. Since things change so much, it does no good to post what is available at any given time since within minutes, it could and most likely is different.
