Can I use Paypal to buy from Raise on a desktop or is it only through the app? And if it's only through the app is there anyway to go through a cashback portal first?
I've looked around on the desktop site and can't seem to find paypal as an option, but I do see it on my app. Hoping I'm just overlooking it somewhere?
Thanks.

For those that have done a timeshare offer, how bad was it with IHG? They just offered 4 nights for $199 with a full refund after the 2-hour presentation. Option of 5 different destinations. Thinking of Williamsburg and coupling it with a trip to DC. We have 18 months to book travel. Since DH and I would both have to be at the presentation, that would mean having 1-2 kids in tow as well. We have 0 intention of buying and I am very capable of saying no. Can you just leave after the 2 hours?

@stitchfan18 -
Conventional wisdom is that Chase isn't as sensitive to ongoing spend as Amex. Many of us have "sock drawered" Chase cards and pull them out to put a charge on them 1-2 times a year. I personally pull out all of my sock drawered Chase and Cap1 cards Jan 1st or so (after eating my black eyed peas) and then feel like I'm good for the year.

Amex, OTOH wants consistent spend.

Paypal is only available to pay through their app. And no, I don't think there is a way to use a CB portal through the app :(

DHs BIL in Cali, the one with GB syndrome, has been extra tired/not as great after another round of a different treatment last month, so DH a little bit ago...

DH: Can you do me a favor? Can you see if we could pull of a trip for me to see BIL this weekend?
Me: Yup
DH: If it's not a big hit, if we can do it cheaply, can I go?
Me: We have lots of points, it should be fine
DH: He's been sleeping in a lot, if he is I'm going to go to Knott's Berry Farm Saturday morning and then spend time with him that afternoon.

Guys, I think I've been scammed 😳

Southwest Airlines & Chase Promotion
To find out if you are eligible, login to your Southwest account, go to "My Account" and click on "Promotions". I see the following promo:

Earn a 25% bonus - Register to earn up to 25,000 bonus points this year.
When you have at least 35,000 points post to your Rapid Rewards® account between 12/1/19 and 2/29/20 under the category of “Credit Card,” you’ll be eligible for a 25% bonus (up to 25,000 bonus points). For example, if you have 12,000 points from your Rapid Rewards Credit Card post to your account each month during December, January, and February, you’ll earn 9.000 bonus points from Southwest. Those 9,000 bonus points will count towards Companion Pass, too!

The "minimum amount" may vary. Mine says 35,000 but I know somebody else said there's was 25,000. If you're eligible, share what your "Terms and Conditions" were so we can compare! 35k points sounds like a lot BUT if I were to sign-up for the SW Performance Biz card now I would earn 75k points there between the bonus and base spend. That would then qualify me for a 25% bonus of 18,750 points! So that would mean almost 94k points from one sign-up. Aside from somebody earning a signup bonus during that time frame, I'm not sure there's any other realistic way to earn 35k SW points that makes sense unless you spammed facebook with your support link, lol!

At any rate - check to see if you're eligible and share details if you are!

Didn't get that one, bummer

Is Qantas known for adding First seats later on? Would not having seats booked home for potentially a while cause you anxiety?

same question

I've been doing that, but not enough to get the really good offers.
Since it is their off season in Australia that is way I am less nervous about it. But it would definitely be nice to have a return flight booked. But then I not sure when DS needs to be back by for school to start either. And I am thinking we might fly into SFO so he can visit Stanford while we are in the area. He’ll only be a freshman so I am hoping the visit might inspire his grades.

Nothing on mine are wife's account :(

Just to chime in, I need a new phone and ATT has absolutely no deals for existing customers and to add insult to injury, want to charge me $25 additional for an upgrade. I'm seriously considering switching. Tmobile is on my list to check out.

Have you considered an unlocked phone instead of an upgrade? I'm on AT&T and have started buying unlocked phones on sale from Amazon, Best Buy, wherever. It's easier and usually cheaper, at least for me.

Not just you. Lots of complaints on the biz offers. Mine says I have 8 but I can't view them, the app just crashes. I keep hoping they release an update soon to fix it. (Or magically fix it like they magically broke it) Last time I could get into it I only had 4 offers so I'm missing out :(

Grrr. At least I can see the 1-2 offers that show up at first. My CIP has the 35% off of Olive Garden, DD5's favorite restaurant. It'll be the first charge I've put on the CIP since I met MSR, lol.

They will charge $25 for me to put on an unlocked phone. I think that's ridiculous.

Ugh. I also need a new phone. I know I wasn't charged that last time I added an unlocked phone, but that was over 2 years ago. I hope they don't charge me that fee.

I think they don't charge it for a new line, but they do for an existing line. Anyway, I was thinking of starting to switch providers every two years. Might make sense.

On DH's Amex Gold, I stacked the 10% online grocery store up to $10, with Instacart 2500 MR for $50+ up to 2x purchase, and used a link for an extra $10 off Instacart.

$114 purchase from Costco, after all the stacking was a net $26 cost.
($10 AO, $10 link discount, 5000 MR x .0125 Schwab cash out value, 416 MR for groceries x 0.0125 Schwab cash out value)

Interestingly, I didn't have to enter my Costco membership number (even though there was a blank field for it) and I used an Amex for a Costco purchase.

The prices were about 20%-30% higher going thru Instacart vs. shopping in-store, so this is not something I would do without an incentive.

Now to see if Amex does any clawbacks...

I have had att Tmobile and Verizon Verizon was the best by far but 10 years ago or so I added my wife to a line they wanted 180$ for 2 lines with 6gb total data for a while I went for it basically everyone around me went to Tmobile I couldn't be happier it works great in cities and indoors for me. But I am in central Florida, also wifi calling is great and you can't beat the lower tier international for free as well as cheap pay upgrade options (Verizon was crazy expensive). If I lived back in the mid-Atlantic I would take Verizon though all that being said it just works better in rural areas where I don't get great speed or signal. I do remember too Verizon would charge me 36$ to upgrade my phone or change my phone Tmobile doesn't care.

I started this journey a little over a year ago and now some of my cards are reaching the annual fee stage.
Specifically, P2 has a CSP where the AF just posted. This has been our holding ground for all of our UR.
I'm fairly certain that if I cancel it the fee will be erased. Obviously I don't want to lose all of the UR. We don't have the CSR to transfer to and I'm in the midst of mid Oct SW CP plan.
Am I stuck with $95 AF?
Thank you

This is awesome! I saw it this morning and I enrolled, but I was figuring that my SUB wouldn't count for this (from my newly approved Performance Biz). Now I should hopefully get at least 18k extra RR's with this promo!:banana::banana:

Not to be greedy, but too bad I can't apply for the SW Biz Premier until Feb - I'll just miss getting the extra 25% on that (really only 7k RR or so because of the cap.
