LA Sheriff has confirmed 9 bodies perished in the crash
This information was updated at the news conference a few minutes ago.So many more then first thought.. absolutely tragic
True. I only mentioned the tragedies I witnessed on TV. I was young, when Elvis died. If there was non-stop coverage, I don't remember....days that time stops. MLK, RFK.., Elvis. too
And post 9-11 ... Michael Jackson...
We were living in that world prior to 9/11. I remember non-stop news coverage, when Princess Diana & JFK Jr. died.
I forgot Challenger. I saw that too.Very true. When I think about it, the first real wall to wall coverage I remember vividly (I was old enough) was The Challenger. Still never forget the face of my English teacher when she came into the science class to tell us what happened. I was glued to the TV when I got home from school.
9 people??? How???
You didn't watch it live on tv? My 5th grade class did.Very true. When I think about it, the first real wall to wall coverage I remember vividly (I was old enough) was The Challenger. Still never forget the face of my English teacher when she came into the science class to tell us what happened. I was glued to the TV when I got home from school.
First reports here were that it was his entire family.Omg they are saying his children were onboard?? I really hope that’s not true.
ETA: only place I heard that was on the pro bowl broadcast.
And I saw another that accommodated 8 passengers and 2 pilots, so....The first reports had indicated that the Sikorski helicopter model that crashed had a passenger capacity of 4 plus a pilot. Which I guess is where the 5 deaths came from initially. The TSB representative on CNN a bit ago said they needed to check to see “what configuration” this was - perhaps it had been modified somehow. They also said that the flight manifest had 9 recorded as being onboard.
