Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

Now the waiting begins.

Playing along at home I decided to try what I tried yesterday (open FOM a few minutes before OPO, let phone sleep, unlock at 8)

I unlocked 2 seconds early and got no joy, but tapping my status after OPO gave me an active button.

Nothing new as far as expected Android behavior, It "feels" faster to use the status page, I think it loads more quickly because it doesn't have graphics and things. I think I still like the FOM as a primary and MS as a backup for real world - feels like two chances to get it right, though that may be just how it feels.

We're driving in from LA (nearish El Segundo) on a weekday morning in April for an 8 am opening. We're locals and it's my birthday and my dad is dying to go.
My mom is thinking she wants to pass, is there a good spot she could drop off me, SO, and dad so we could hurry along to the line and she goes and parks? Or should we just park first? If we park first, where should we park?
it's about 40 minutes drive for us, not sure how early we should leave.
I've been to DLand a million times and know this place like my childhood bedroom, but the logistics of this new ride have me thrown. Help :guilty:

Day 2 for hydro family. Yesterday we for BG 26 but did not get on the ride until 4:10pm. See previous posts for more on that.

Today so far..

6:58 left room at bwppi - a non EMH day
7:00 arrived security harbor side - no bag line with no one in line. Other lines had 12-15 people. Not bad.
7:02 in line at gate 17 center with planter split - lines are just past monorail

more to come...
Complete run down to getting BG 27 today..

I am with DS25 and DS23 all working from A single DLR account

7:02 in line at gate 17 center with planter split - lines are just past monorail
7:13 gates opened
7:20 I waited for DS25 and 23 at gate 18 and they arrived at 7:20 - we were thru the turnstile in a minute
7:25 in line at tommorrowland.
7:56 rope dropped - we went to Autopia where there are no people
8:00 got BG 27 - it was I who got it with iPhone 11 Pro and AT&T - 4 bars of strength and 23 ms ping speed

I used the clear cache / open app at 7:59 / FOM at 8:00 method (train station platform) and got BG21. No troubles except that I wasn't expecting the explanation popup so I lost a second.

I have a completely unfounded suspicion that we might have a delayed start this morning. Last month, when I got BG1, I heard people yelling low numbers. Today, I didn't hear anything but 20s.

There is a passenger drop off area off Harbor right at the entrance of Disney/CA kind of where the buses are - it’s also where Uber/Lyft/taxis pick up and drop off. My husband often drops us off there. Then your mom can directly go park the Toy Story parking lot off Harbor down the street. Good luck!

I see a 15 on Twitter. It mightbe starting at 14 like it did yesterday. Hopefully we see boarding much earlier, though.

Plan for it to be more than 40 minutes on a weekday. I live in that relative area and it’s a 30 min drive on Saturday morning with no traffic.

Sorry if that was discussed before, but what is the “explanation popup” you’re talking about, and how do you get rid of it (close it w/ an [x] button? swipe it away? ignore it and simply click on what’s behind it?). Inquiring minds wanna know...
