Yes, you will need proof of baby’s age if flying as a lap infant. So an official birth certificate or a passport will work. Their website says birth certificate and no mention of passport, but the agent I talked to at check in confirmed that a passport works, too.
I carry a copy of the kids birth certificates in my carry-on at all times (even now that they aren’t lap children). The copy always worked when we needed proof of age but that was 4 years ago now. I still carry them in there to this day lol.

I posted about this here at the time. @Lain told me I should refuse to pay. He was probably right but I really liked our painter and I did pay. Made me sad cause I had counted on that spend but I wanted to hire the guy for future projects since he did a nice job and we had a lot in common.
Now that you mention it I seem to recall being burned up at the time too!

So today I funded my 40th PPP loan. I helped 40 businesses secure over $12MM in forgivable loans.

Unfortunately, I had a 0 failure tolerance. So when round 2 opens up Monday at 10:30am I have 13 more customers I need to get through this 2nd round to call this a success. I personally cannot accept any business who worked with me missing out - perhaps that’s unrealistic but it’s the standard I’m holding myself to!

At least for now I can enjoy my weekend. 😊 I am so grateful to finally not have a 15+ hour work day on the docket!!

Checking in to see if @Haley R had her baby yet - I guess not.

My news - it was my final day at work. I survived the world's longest (felt like) notice period. I am FREE. It is truly an odd feeling though. Not sure what the future holds or what I am doing next, but I know I need this break.

The DVC change about borrowing sucks for someone like me who owns a small contract. I'm in a crap spot anyway. I have a Sept UY and past my banking window... I really don't think I want to go to F&W in September after all... Like @Judique says, the Florida response is not great... and it is looking like things will probably be bad in the fall according to experts.

I would hate to eat the points. I guess it is what it is... kinda bad for lots of DVC folks. I can't even get the booking tool to work for me either.
Congrats on being done at work!! Glad you are getting the break you need.

@Haley R - it’s a good thing I wasn’t around during the induce or wait discussion. I mean, I really think it’d be for the best to induce and plan a convenient time for your husband... 🤣 🤣

I joke but uhhh both of our children were induced and just happened to be born on a Friday and Thursday as that worked well with my work schedule 🤣. Yes - I’m a loser and I regret that now!

I did go to a SF football game the day after my younger daughter was born, but in my defense I took my older daughter to the game as she needed attention too! LOL!

I would hope that if they aren’t open in July you would get your points extended too, but who knows. At this point I don’t know when I will be ready to go back and I did bank my points.
Our banked points are the ones dvc gave us from 2018 (though we bought in 2019) so I am trying to think of them as freebie points that we could lose and it's okay. We booked our first trip in Dec 2019 using the points but I guess dvc didn't use those 2018 points..???..though the MS CM swore up and down they would have. But...they didn't...that was our first dvc stay. So not sure why but we are left with 2018 banked points and they have to be used by end of July :( I'm not sure we want to go in July. Just feels so soon especially if things are really open all the way.

Southwest adjusts next Release Date:
Southwest has moved its next release date back to Thursday May 28th, 2020.

Currently the schedule is open through 10/30. This release will go through Jan 4th, 2021 and of course covers Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday travel dates. I'd stay posted as this has now changed 3 times and I'd imagine will change again as the future becomes more clear.
Just a quick reminder that we are still over a month away from the next SW release. It’s honestly just sad to think about this to me right now anyways - but I’ll put it out there for those that care...or wish we had more reason to care.

I have 2018 banked points also, but that's because they were tied up in my March trip. Not all of my March trip were 2018 points, but that's where it gets tricky. It's really difficult to tell which points you have tied up unless you keep a journal of this with notes. Of course when they get returned to your account, suddenly they have a source. I do have an October use year, which means they are good until September 30. Right at this minute only 12 points fall in this category.

With DVC's current and past policy, unless I book a room and somebody uses it, I still lose these points. It's not much and would be the most I've ever lost with DVC in 20 years so I'm not crying.

It gets more complicated for the future. The points I have booked forward are from my 2020 and 2021 use years so some can be banked but others must be used by Sep 30, 2021. I probably should look at putting together another Hilton Head trip. But, need to get inside 7 months to do Spring 2021 with some of my points that would need to be used.

Just a continuing response to @wendow from above regarding going in July.

It does feel too soon. And 'things open all the way' sounds so unreal.

They are talking a lot about virtual queues, but who knows if this will materialize that early? Plus shutting down is one thing - opening back up is another. I can see an attempt being made but I can't see the full experience back in motion as early as July.

I'm trying to see this from outside what I would do. For me it would be foolish to go to Disney in July at my age and with my health risks. Even if I lose points, I'll sit back until things are better.

For other, younger and healthier people, maybe it's not such a stretch, but the experience will not be the same with reduced access to dining and social distancing on rides and in shows. I obviously don't know how they are going to put this back to normal, but watching how they open up Shanghai might throw some light on the future. (I think that's the first one they are trying to reopen.)

I think this is why I am confused. We bought in July 2019 with an Aug UY. We were give the 2018 points and then immediately got our Aug UY points. We went to WDW in Aug but did not use any DVC. That trip was covered with AA miles. It was too soon after buying to use DVC. The very first trip we booked was Dec 2019 for my dd17's candlelight processional concert. We used 78 points for the 4 nights we were there and we have a 75 pt contract. So, we should have used the banked plus 3 pts from 2019. I returned in Feb 2020 to take my dd19 down for her dcp. No dvc used. We stayed at ASMo. Had a March ressie for dd's but that was booked with a CM discount at POR. Dh & I were booked for April. All 4 nights were dvc. Our whole fam was booked for May - 4 nights was to be on dvc pts - and the rest was offsite. Somehow, the points we have remaining aren't the 2019 pts but they are the banked 2018. I called MS and the CM said they will "always" use banked points before other points and that we must still have banked points because I had booked the April 2020 trip before the Dec 2019 trip. But that isn't remotely true. I didn't book the April trip until after I'd taken my dd down to wdw, which was Feb. I don't get it. The banked 2018 points should be used but for some reason, they weren't and now we are scrambling to use them in July.

I'll admit that I'm not too worried about my health or my family's. I feel those who are at a vulnerable age or who have health issues should be very cautious but we are still 'younger' and very healthy. My dd19 is my least healthy but she takes a ton of immune boosters and rarely catches even a cold. So, from that perspective, I'm not worried about traveling in July. BUT I am not terribly excited about going with a limited experience. It's too much work to coordinate all of us getting away, the airline tickets (even on miles), the cost of rooms, etc. to go down there and have a 'half' Disney experience. I'm also not envisioning how they get things back to any sense of normalcy anytime soon. Going to the 'most magical place' just doesn't seem magical at all right now. I think I'm also still mourning that I never got to see my dd on her program. My next trip down was to see her, making magic, as we'd dreamed for years that she'd do. So, I need to readjust my thinking in a lot of ways.

Can you pull up your reservation emails to verify when you booked what? Compare this to your activity statement on the DVC site? Since you only have one contract to look at, it should be fairly simple to determine what points were used.

I have done this. I made quite a few tentative Dec reservations, constantly cancelling one to secure another as I was trying to piece together a trip on short notice and I did tap into 2019 points a couple times. I'm wondering if I secured the eventual, final resort at a time when I hadn't cancelled the previous reservation first. Only thing that makes sense...

Wow, that is amazing! Your clients are so lucky to have you working for them. I hope that you enjoy your weekend.

I have no idea, that doesn’t seem right. I would try and call. Maybe you will get lucky and find a CM that can switch them for you.
I understand about July. My DH said I should cancel November but I am holding on to it right now to see how things are when we get closer to our one month cancellation window.

I’m actually in the hospital right now. Water broke around 8 pm last night and we went to the hospital. They said he should be born around 8 am so we’re getting close. I’m just laying in the bed trying to relax. I did end up taking the epidural but waited long enough that it didn’t slow things down. No pitocin so it’s been all natural besides the epidural. Hopefully we’ll meet him soon
