Which park would you leave out?

OK, so we only have 3 park days for our upcoming trip in a few weeks. Right now We have reserved our visits to Epcot, MK, and HS. I'm bummed to leave out AK because it is definitely our favorite park. Here was our logic for our choices...

1. We didn't visit MK on our last trip.
2. We haven't done MMRR in HS.
3. We won't be able to get into the parks until 1pm on our first full day, which is why we selected Epcot (with the latest closing time).

In this current system, if you only had 3 park days, I’m curious which park would you leave out and why?

I would leave out AK. Right now it has the least amount to do, with many shows closed. HS has so many new things and since you didn't go to MK last time I think that would be a must. I think your rationale for Epcot makes sense and there is still plenty to see there.

With all things being equal, I would personally skip Epcot, because I'm obsessed with Pandora and just overall love the atmosphere of the park! But your argument with arriving late makes total sense, I would probably do the same thing as you. Epcot does have the mini Food and Wine festival going on this year, so that will be something fun to experience!

We'd def. leave out AK. We only go to AK every other trip as it is. It's just more of z half day park for us and we'd be least bummed to miss it over the others. I will say the current state of Epcot leaves A LOT to be desired, but it's my personal favorite park and can't imagine missing it, but for those who aren't huge fans to begin with; I can see thinking to skip that one.

We normally skip AK - not really any ‘must do’ rides or shows for us. If we go we’ll do Na’vi and the Safari and that’s about it.

Yeah - agree with others. It's too bad AK is opening so early. If it opened at 11 like Epcot you could easily spend your 1/2 day there and skip EPCOT.

I would leave out AK. Not much shade and right now not a whole lot open. I know their are folks out there saying they would leave out Epcot, but for me this is one of my personal favorite parks, and with the food and wine starting early we chose that as our first day the 15th when it opens. And here's to hoping for a surprise preview for "Ratatouille". Woot woot

It would be either HS or Epcot for me.

I feel like it would be hard to fill up a whole day at HS right now since so many of their attractions are shows (although I've already been on both Star Wars rides multiple times, so that certainly factors in to my choice). Plus, HS always feels really small and awkward to navigate to me - many of the pathways are too narrow and there are too many weird routes and dead ends as you try to navigate the park.

Epcot is also kind of low on rides (and I find the new Soarin' kind of boring and really artificial, so I don't usually bother with it), but to me its larger size is a bonus, because you can be more spread out and there's more to look at and explore. The size could be a downside for others, though, since there's so much more distance between attractions.

I know AK is also doesn't have a *ton* of rides, but Flight of Passage is my absolute favorite ride ever and I looove the safari as well. I'd also really love to get to do the walking trails with the lower park capacity to get a better view of the animals, especially the gorillas who are always blocked by a thick crowd at their window. But I'm biased because AK is my favorite park overall, so it's my first priority when I start visiting again.

For my family with young kids, its HS. There are too few things for the toddlers to do. For our trip in November, we are doing 1 day at HS and 1 day at AK, 2 at the other 2 parks. It allows us more time to relax, have pool time, etc. Typically we'd have a waterpark day but doesn't appear that is happening.

hmmm, that's a dilemma.
We love AK too but under those circumstances EP wins with 3 more hours to enjoy.
AK 5hrs vs EP 8hrs.

For you? Sounds like your thinking is sound. For us? We would leave out MK, a sin I know. We are not ride centric, we ride a few rides but not really that many. We also are not parade or show people and haven't watched the night time shows since they went heavy on projections (I'm height challenged so only see half of it). We love Epcot, it is our favorite park and wouldn't think of skipping it. We love AK, since we aren't ride centric we just love the atmosphere there, we love finding the hidey holes with small animals in them. We spent an entire hour in Jan. just walking the path around the Tree of Life looking at all the hidden carvings on it. We love HS, always have even before TSL and Star Wars, again just love the atmosphere. I used to love to sit on a bench in the streets of NY section and just look at all the details in the windows, sadly that is no more. MK is always so crowded and while the castle is a site to behold it has always been a half day park for us.

Look at the park hours.
Epcot is 11am-9pm
MK is 9-7
HS is 10-8
AK is 8-6

If you prefer getting up early/avoiding heat, go with a park that opens early. If you prefer to sleep later/stay later go with park that has later hours.
Keep in mind, in summer afternoon often = storms. No debate, but perhaps consider how people you know and don't know react to heavy rain.
Also consider where you like to eat. To eat in the WS, you'd have to pick an Epcot day.

We are leaving out AK. It is a very hot park to be in a mask. FOTLK and the Nemo musical aren't running. We love Tusker House and it's closed. AK also closes earliest.

For us it's MK. Kids are in 20s though and we like food and drinks, not characters or kiddie rides or parades.

We are going in September and have 3 park days so we are skipping AK. Besides it being extra hot there, it's our least favorite park. We do love Everest and Satuli though!

Y’all are awesome. My partner and I were chatting and even though it’s our favorite, AK is definitely going to be left out. A big factor we forgot about was transportation. We are staying at Pop, and the skyliner access to HS and Epcot was what made us solidify those two in our schedule.

I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder, so not doing AK this trip will really make us super excited for our visit next year!

We are right there with you! EPCOT is always a must do, as is HS. We haven’t been to AK in years, and no kiddies with us this year so MK doesn’t do anything for us.
