this is such a sad sick world

Our world has undergone growing pains and change before. Maybe not all at one time in our recent memories.

Our family visited MIL last week. No tv, no news, etc. It was wonderful.

Still haven't caught up on the 'news'. And that's actually been liberating and a relief.

Walk outside, turn the news off, turn the computer off.

Find something constructive to occupy your time.

This will definitely need to be destroyed-

I am not being flippant. Slavery and for that matter unfairness to anyone based on race religion or other group affiliation is abhorrent but it is with no question common in the history of mankind. We have progressed and doing much better and that is in no small part do to the influence of the US in the world.

Not a problem for me. We dine out a couple of times a week.

I'll bring the liquor.
I just processed your #FlattenThe Fear and hat tip to you. I have seen #FlatCurvers as a play on Flat Earthers but your FlattenTheFear is much much more appropriate and insightful.

What'd I Miss??? What'd I miss???

My only question is where does it end. Should we tear down the Coliseum because they killed Christians there. I mean Columbus is significantly more than one quarter of the way there. Should we changes the names of the day, months because I think they came from same group of people.
The fact you have to ask that question speaks volumes about how screwed up our history is along with who we put on pedestals. :-)

That's in a museum, not in a public square named after whichever pharaoh that is.

Actually it is most often on tour in public galleries around the world as it is now. I am sure it is coming to a major city near you for public display if not in 2020 then 2021. The viewings tend to be in galleries and not museums. Of course it wouldn’t be in a public square in the US at thIs time with lunatics on the loose that know very little about anything before 0 BF (Before Facebook).

Need to do away with AD and BC and BCE and just have BF and AF-Before Facebook and After Facebook.

Well considering that I just saw it a few weeks ago in it's usual place in Egypt, I'm not sure that it is coming anywhere in 2020. Often it is replicas and not the original; in Munich a few years ago there was a huge exhibit which was all replicas only. (I do know that the original items tour as well) Everything is/was due to be moved to the new museum later this year.

Sydney has a major renovation in place to accommodate a Tutankamen exhibit in 2021 and Saachi gallery in London had one in 2019 and here is a comment about the London exhibit-
“Just returned from visit to London to see the Tutankhamun exhibition. All I can say is that it was fantastic, better than our visit to Cairo in 1997. If you’re thinking of going please do not hesitate it’s worth every minute waiting to see the artefacts. Well done London for a fantastic display.“

Boston has one scheduled but not sure if 2021 or 2022.

This is a very very deep observation. I am simply awestruck with how much this will add to certainty about facts for discussions on the internet. .
