NBA players complain about food and accommodations at WDW

As many others have said, many are homeless, unemployed, struggling to pay rent, or struggling to save their own or a family member's life who has been afflicted with Covid...Very sad that grown men have no awareness "beyond their bubble lifestyle that they and their families live every day as an NBA player" :(

I'm really not up on the NBA or any other major-league sports that have been disrupted. Can someone explain to me why Orlando was chosen as the staging ground for the remainder of the basketball season? Genuine question. It seems like there would be safer areas.

I think WDW was picked because they can stay inside the "bubble." House, feed & play with everyone within the gates of WDW. This seemed much more practical when the parks were closed. Now that WDW is open for business, it doesn't seem practical or realistic.

 Is Coronado Springs a deluxe? If so, that one picture makes me feel bad for the regular-people paying customers that have and will stay there. Not that it's uninhabitable by any means but a 4* hotel it is NOT and the prices for deluxe are ridiculous.

Am I right in assuming that the games will be broadcast but not have any fans present in person? I think that's what the plan is for the NHL which will be staged in two Canadian cities with very low Covid numbers.
I assume they will be broadcast. But yes NO FANS.

As far as the hotels Gran Destino Tower of Coronado is where the TOP TIER teams are staying.

I do not feel bad for them at all. Don't like the food, ask for something else or buy something else (not like you do not have the money. Also to come play was optional. You just had to take a 1/92 pay cut up to a 14/92 pay cut depending on many games you miss.

If this is what they are really being served, I'd complain too. My understanding is they have to be in quarentine in their rooms for the first 14 days they are there. So they don't have a lot of choices as to what food they can get. I also assume (hopefully) they are limited to the food options available to them at their hotel.

I don't feel badly for them, but I wouldn't order that food. And I stayed at Coronado Springs once and I did not like it. I definitely would consider it a motel with its outside entrances.

With that being said, now is not the time to take to social media and complain about your workplace accommodations. Many people would be thrilled just to have a job right now.

I think the players would be in the new tower, for the most part.
