Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

The Skyliner waits can have lengthy waits as it's one party per vehicle right now. The line to get on the skyliner at the end of the night from the Epcot station reached beyond the entrance to the BC quiet pool on Friday and Saturday night (Feb5-6) and on week nights it was at the top of the Hill which a CM said was a half hour wait to get on at that point. Lots of people said they were just going to walk to the BC lobby and get an Uber.

Ah I wasn’t thinking that they normally had multiple parties per car. When we went last year we were a party of 6 and always had our own. I forgot for smaller groups they would combine them.

Thought I’d ask this question here since everyone seems to be so helpful on this board. I am planning a split stay for October, staying at Pop first and then moving to Yacht Club. On the Pop package, I am only given the option to buy 6 day tickets, but I need 9 days. Can I call to have the additional days added to the tickets? I’m sure I read that somewhere, but can’t find confirmation of this.

I was to do this on a spring trip. They just made the first part of split stay a package and made my tickets a few days longer and then made the 2nd resort of basic package with no tickets. The CM I had on the phone was helpful and seemed to know what he was doing.
Good luck.

Excited to be staying at BCV! We arrive NEXT SUNDAY 🥳🥳🥳 We will be there for our little princess' 👸 5th birthday!

Any suggestions for the room requests for check in? I selected "near elevator" because when we stated at BWV last trip it seemed like a 3 mile hike from elevator to our room through winding halls.
Our priorities will be accessing the big pool and park transportation (which on the map seem to be opposite directions)

Thanks for all the info here, I've really enjoyed reading along!
...this was our room when we were there in December:

...not the greatest of views:

...but it was only a few steps from the elevator that is near the Compass & Ale Market! VERY convenient....not much walking, especially after a long day in the parks. This is our balcony:

Thanks everyone! I removed the "near elevator" request!
Just was having flashbacks to those never ending halls at Boardwalk 🤣

We arrive on a Sunday and planned on not going to parks that day, but we love walking to Epcot so we will probably add a day to our tickets so we can walk there the first night!

This whole area is just my favorite non-park area in Disney. So glad we moved from the contemporary!

Is there a way to find out which BCV 1 bedrooms have the queen sleeper instead of the double?
When I do online check in it gives me no options for anything in the drop down? I would really like ground floor but I’m allergic to pine and I have seen many pictures of pine around the areas. Is there a way to let Disney know this so that hopefully we would be facing the courtyard or pool and not the pine trees?

when the pools have an open/close time is it a hard stop? We have been to Disney before but first time at BC. I remember the kids swimming at AOA and AKL well after 10pm but I don’t know.

thanks!

There are two sets of elevators at BCV (one with three and another with just one - that one is close to the parking lot). Stormalong Bay will be far from nearly every villa at BCV since the villas were built behind the BC resort on the old cast member parking lot. BCV is much smaller than BWV. To catch a bus to the theme parks, you'll need to either walk along the sidewalk between the villas and the villas parking lot or through the courtyard and come out by the Solarium then cross over to the walkway to the bus. It's no longer than walking to the BW bus stop from the villas.
Just so you know, the single elevator is currently closed off to guests. It’s partly due to the painting, part maintenance. I made a joke with a CM about how we were so close to the single elevator, but had to walk all the way to the “lobby” at BCV, go up, and all the way back to our room in the same direction we just came. It was a trek at 10pm with a 9 year old and me carrying all the luggage from the parking lot. She just looked sad and said “yeah, that one might not be open for a while” so no clue when it’ll open, she just said “we don’t know, but not soon unfortunately” when I pressed her about it. It was really a pain because we were so much closer to it, but oh well, it’ll open back up eventually.

We have found that particular elevator to be the noisy one. Hopefully a long closure might mean they are doing a big overhaul. Hope so.

Hi all!

We have a trip booked to Beach Club in July, 3 rooms with Garden View.

We are thinking about requesting rooms with full balconies. However on YT I saw a vlog where the person had requested a room with a full balcony, which they had, but the bathroom was much smaller, the double sink was next to the toilet instead of in an open area with a door in between.

Do a lot of the rooms have this smaller bathroom? As we really like the double sink normally not being in the same room as the bath and the toilet. This particular room was on the top floor.

Many thanks!

All BCV 1BR villas have a queen sleeper. The studios are the ones with the double. There is no courtyard per se, so I would request a pool view to avoid the "woods" side. Dunes Cove pool posted hours close at 11:00 PM, but I've seen people in there after that.

Skip the options at on-line check in. If you made a cash resie through Disney, call 407-WDISNEY to make a room request. If you have a resie which was made using DVC points, the DVC member should contact DVC member services (chat, email or phone) to make a room request.

This website might help give you an idea of the layout for room requests (and as a reminder, you can click on the link even if it looks like it is still loading):

The vast majority of BC resort rooms have the standard bathroom layout of double sinks with a separate room containing the toilet and tub/shower. There are some rooms with the layout that you described, but there aren't too many of them. They tend to be located in odd spaces, like the corner rooms. We have had the single sink layout a few times. Once was a corner room with a king bed. Another time was a king room with a wet bar and queen size sofa bed. Both of these rooms had the smaller, standing balcony, btw. But the odds of getting one of these rooms is very low. :)

Some of the rooms on the top floor tend to be smaller because of the roof line and the dormer balconies.

I have a split stay and on the day of check in, I want to drive to BCV and park there ( that is where I would checkin later that day) and walk to HS in the morning. I assume they will let me park there early in morn because my magic band will say we are checking in that day. Is this correct?
