My friend who went yesterday said all eggs are visible from outside - on buildings or in window displays.
There are definitely some kiosks - California churros, Kayla’s macrons, etc. Additionally, places like Salt and Straw and Ralph Brennan’s to-go have QR codes so you can order from outside (grab and go). Starbucks has mobile ordering. There are some (small) outdoor shopping options, too, like the pin trading booth.
Places like Wonderground Gallery, which is small with big doors always open, are pretty “open” in terms of airflow and have only a few people admitted at a time. (It was literally six last time we were there, although I think capacity has increased.) You may find when you see it that a few places like that meet your comfort level even when traditional large, indoor stores do not. (That was our experience the first time we went and wanted to be very cautious.) But even if you stayed entirely outdoors, there would be things to eat, buy, and see. Have fun!
