We just got in last night, so I can post pics later today.
to the thread!
Thank you so much, and
Have a fantastic trip!!!

Definitely true! But we are technically going for our spring break lol so it’s making me nervous. I know we have a later than typical spring break and crowds typically aren’t as bad though.Remember that this is a vacation week for some school districts.
Yes, there are buses to Disney Springs.ARe there resort buses to disney springs?
We arrived yesterday for a brief stay yesterday for the kids Spring Break and have a great view over the pool/water - I can confirm that SAB was indeed open (and jamming!) til 11pm last night.
We spent the morning and early afternoon at the pool - before heading off to MK. It’s definitely busier than it was back in November but we didn’t have any issues finding pool chairs or with the waits at MK (usually half the posted times) til close.
The only downside is that with a much busier pool area they still only have two “waitstaff” servicing all of SAB - they were both very very busy. I can only hope as things continue to pick up that WDW hires back more folks to keep up with the demand.
Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Cherry Coke, Sprite, Sprite Zero, Blue Powerade, Acai Pom Vitamin Water, Orange Fanta, Zero Sugar Lemonade, Barq's Root Beer
Plus the ice tea machine with Sweet, unsweet, and green sweet tea. And then hot coffee, hot tea, hot cocoa in the hot beverage area.
Water comes from the lemonade spout. No soda water dispenser on the machine and no seltzer flavored waters. Those should still be available from the Yacht side freestyle machines if you want to walk over there.
ETA - Soda water is now available on the machines.
Please remove us from the list. We changed to CBR.
April 10 - 17th at BCV
I am literally as excited for the resort as I am for the parks, BC/YC has been a Disney dream of mine for awhile.
Unless it has changed recently, BC room 1523 (water view - quiet pool) has the 1 queen, 1 day bed and 1 sleeper chair configuration with the dividing curtain AND it connected to another room. We have stayed in that room quite a few times--it was a favorite.
Hi all! Planning our first stay at YC for just one night on 5/26.
Tried to get a cabana today at our 60 day mark and they were all sold out for both 5/25 and 5/27. Eep!
I will keep trying since plans change constantly but just thought I would share for anyone else who is considering a rental during that same time.
Is there any information about Easter activities at Beach Club? We've been there on Easter before but wondered with Covid if they would have the normal activities. Thanks for any information and sorry if it has been discussed already. I've mostly been able to find information about Easter baskets
We are here now and having a FABULOUS time.
Question for my children’s tired feet- is there a way besides walking to get to HS before rope drop? I can’t find what time the boats start running and I’m pretty sure it’s not early enough.
We'll be there April 8-April 16 at the YC
We can't wait and we weren't even sure we were going to be able to go until two days ago because of my teen DD's crazy schedule! My AP is blocked out until 4/10 so we will be having a couple of lovely, relaxing resort days when we get there
Worried about this issue here too. We have June planned , central NJ to yacht. Concerned our King Murphy will not let up the quarantine and will affect one member of our party and work obligations even though member is fully vaccinated. Very upsetting your dh can't join you....
The YC/BC/BCV page from our “open/closed FAQ” sticky can help get a general rundown of some of the basics: https://www.disboards.com/threads/wdw-resorts-open-closed-detail-faq-thread.3826299/post-62693878
May be a good place to start.
Enjoy your trip, and ask away with any questions, lots of people happy to help.
Hello Dee!
Can you please add me to Be Our Guest list, 4/16-4/24/21 Yacht Club, Water View. If you need any info, pictures or updates please let me know. Thank you!
Shelly
We'll be at BCV from 5/25-6/1!
Can anyone tell me if the rooms have the wall soap and shampoo dispensers
or do they have the individual bottles? Also do they still have the Mr. Coffee type coffee pots? Are all of the cups/plates now paper or do they supply the ceramic/glass type as before?
SAB hours are currently 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM, gate controlled and monitored by CMs. It appears that the problem with SAB isn't the hours it is open, it is the volume of people being allowed therein. Capacity limits stink. Plain and simple. But, honestly, it is the facts of life right now with WDW and other places too.Anyone know the current hours for Storm Along Bay?
I feel as though this falls on Disney though. Shouldn’t they be limiting the number of people who are staying there so this isn’t an issue? It’s not like they don’t know how many people are on reservations and how many are allowed in the pool area at a time. I’m not saying they should limit to just that number.... but I don’t think they should be selling out all rooms to the point it’s this kind of issue. People are paying $500+ a night to stay here and then waiting in a line for the pool? Idk seems crazy to me. Can you imagine if they keep capacity what it is and add all the beach club rooms back in? The line will be wrapped around the resort come summer time lol.SAB hours are currently 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM, gate controlled and monitored by CMs. It appears that the problem with SAB isn't the hours it is open, it is the volume of people being allowed therein. The problem with crowding at SAB isn't an every day, all the time thing. It just happens once in a while from what I've seen. We have stayed at the Yacht Club three times since reopening and haven't encountered any lines while we were there. But they are going to have to increase capacity limits when they reopen the Beach Club.I feel as though this falls on Disney though. Seems like they already need to increase capacity with the warmer weather. People weren’t traveling before, they are now. On top of that now it’s getting nice. I imagine this could end up being an all the time problem with warmer weather here but I guess we will have to wait and see. If they don’t increase capacity it will surely be an everyday thing with a lot of unhappy guests when all of beach club opens. The problem with crowding at SAB isn't an every day, all the time thing. I think several things factor into the increase in pool attendance at the resorts. SAB isn't the only resort pool with this problem. There are less things to do in the parks right now and some people are taking resort only vacations. SAB has never had so many people at night as it has now. In the past, people would stay in the parks at night but now the parks are closing early. Only one with those problems right now.... if restrictions stay the same I can’t see how it won’t be a problem at poly when they fully open. That’s another pool that definitely has high attendance to the point some would consider it over crowded at the times you’re talking about. I think if more than 1/3? Of the resort was open it would be an issue there right now too. I totally understand what you’re saying.... but again this is Disney’s doing. They are dragging their feet on opening more shows, restaurants, etc which would also spread some people out. I’m not canceling my vacation in a couple weeks but I am prepared to be disappointed I guess lolI think several things factor into the increase in pool attendance at the resorts. Historically, SAB has always had high attendance when the schools are out, either for the summer or for breaks. There has been frequent problems with people hoarding lounge chairs, etc, which has been going on for ages. The only difference is that they are now limiting attendance. They will eventually end the Covid restrictions and we will go back hunting for chairs to sit on.
They just extended park hours for the end of april
magic kingdom opens at 8am
Now for our park days.
what is the bus situation at the yacht club what time should we be at the bus stop if we want to rope drop?
do buses come frequently in the morning trying to decide if we should cab it or drive to mk or just take the bus
Thank you I am aware of all this. My question is more about Timing and what specific time to be at bus stop and frequency of buses in the morningRemember that only Disney buses can drop you off AT the Magic Kingdom. If you get a cab/Uber/Lyft or drive, you will be let off at the Transportation & Ticket Center, and have to take the ferryboat or monorail to get from there to the Magic Kingdom.
Some people try taking Uber/Lyft to the Contemporary and walk from there. Some people think you need to have a dining reservation or mobile order at the Contemporary in order for the guard at the shack to let the Uber/Lyft enter the Contemporary property. If it's mobile order, it can be cancelled upon arrival. Some people think that mobile order won't let you get past the gate. I don't know what the truth is, having not tried it myself. You can now walk from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom, so maybe it would work from there, but it's a longer walk than from the Contemporary.
For an 8:00 AM opening I would be at the bus stop at 6:45 AM.Thank you I am aware of all this. My question is more about Timing and what specific time to be at bus stop
