Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Are the lines very long?
Sorry, I couldn't get on any time yesterday or this morning to see this. They are long in the morning when the parks are opening, that's it though. Any other time of day they aren't. I always say get to the bus stop as early as you can. Of course I've been in some pretty long bus lines at YC and only had to wait 15 minutes in the morning, so it's not horrible at all (in my opinion, and I've stayed at YC 3 times since opening, and BCV once since opening).

Anyone there now, or that will be in the next couple days that would be able to grab a picture of the April activities guide? I think that’s the name anyway haha. Looking for the times for the pool, movies, activities etc.
If not I’ll try to post one this weekend :)

Curious on this too. Contemporary pool in March wasn't hitting capacity until probably 1pm. Trying to figure out if I'm safe assuming pool doesn't open at 9am going to park till 11 or 12.
Don't know if I missed it, is there any consensus on when SAB hits capacity during the day?

I have no data, no statistics, no analytics, but in my many years of visiting BC/YC I would assume that during COVID times that SAB hits capacity in the 12 - 3 PM range. It may extend an hour to 4 PM, but after that things should be okay. The rationale? Rope droppers usually return around noon to 1 PM for a break. That break will last 3 hours or so before everyone get's ready for evening plans which is usually a walk to Epcot or HS. Now here's the good news heading in to the summer months. There is typically a T-storm or two that will empty the pool area, mass exodus and then things are wide open again.

We just got back and I have to say that the Beach Club/BCV continues to be a favorite of ours. Even with a room down a long hallway of doom, we quite enjoyed our stay and the location. I just wish they were running more buses. Seemed the BC/YC buses were little unicorns at times while we saw Boardwalk bus after bus arrive.

As to Stormalong Bay, this was one of the things we were most looking forward to trying out. I didn't manage to go during my last trip due to timing. This time we had a cabana one day (cabana #1). If it is possible for you to do so, I highly recommend the cabanas. It was so glorious to have that space. We spent 10:30-4:30 at the pool one day and cannot imagine we would have stayed nearly as long without the cabana.

The one other day we went to the pool was a VERY busy day. We did manage to get chairs right away but we had to wait on a few people ahead of in line to get seated before us. Unfortunately the chairs we were given were seated on the sun itself and I felt like a melty puddle o' goo. Thankfully, someone near us left shortly after we arrived and a CM let me swap places with them for the now vacant spot in the shade. Lesson learned: request a spot in the shade and wait even if we have to get one.

Now I also have a question. We had so much fun, I went to book a trip for next year and could get nothing mid-April in BCV. Do y'all know if they are limiting what can be booked for next year at this time? There actually seemed to be relatively little openings for some hotels all the way into April 2022.
Does the cabana reservation allow you to skip the line to get in? It sounds glorious!

August for sure, but Isn't June too early for the thunderstoms? That's why we werent in the morning in August as you'd usually lose the pool due to a storm. At any rate, that time seems right for what we experienced at the contemporary pool. If that is the case its reasonable, I figured SAB would be a lot worse.

Also and I know its hard to predict, but if it does hit capacity, how long have people been waiting to get in to the pool?

It's never too early for thunderstorms in Florida. Did you see this past Sunday's weather and power outages? The Disney 1/2 marathon was cancelled 1/7/17 due to thunderstorms. You'll notice the 10 day forecast will become increasingly populated with isolated and scattered thunderstorms each day beginning around late spring.

I'm having trouble finding a thread about freshly made Rice Krispie treats. I found some threads about these types of treats in the parks, but not resorts. My family is staying at BC. Does the Marketplace bake fresh Krispie treats or are pre-packaged Krispie treats only available? As a follow up question, does Boardwalk Bakery have fresh Krispie treats? We are walking to DHS a few days, so we could swing by there if fresh Krispie treats are available at the bakery. My DD is a nut for Rice Krispie bars, etc.

I remember seeing a thread about Rice Krispie treats fairly recently, but now I can't find it. It had a title which did not include the words "Rice Krispie." It was something like "getting fresh" which was clever but not indicative of the subject.

You are correct, they still have them or did in January. It was a Mickey label "Made Fresh with Magic".

I'm going to assume that it does. When we showed up (10:30am), there was no line. When I told them we were there for a cabana, they waved us in and told us to go over to the cabanas to check in and get our wristbands.
