Staying at the Poly now and headed to AK in the morning, how is the bus situation? Will we make it there early enough to be towards the front of FOP RD?
Hi all! We’re about to book a trip for April of next year. This will be our 4th time staying at the Poly—we just can’t bring ourselves to stay anywhere else. We’ve always stayed in a standard room, but this time it would be quite a bit less expensive to stay in a studio (booked via Disney, not DVC)
Are there any drawbacks to staying in a studio vs a standard room that would make us regret it? There are 4 of us, 2 sons will be 9 and 12. Thanks for any input!

Thank you! I’m torn because the price for the hotel side room has skyrocketed since our last trip in 2019. One more question—if we book the studio through Disney, do we get all the regular amenities including daily housekeeping, or is it every 4 days or whatever it is with DVC booking? Thanks so much!I liked staying in a studio when I ‘had to’ during the hotel closure. But for our family of four, we’ve learned we really prefer having two full-time beds and not having to make up/pull out a bed every day. Other than that, the rooms are super livable/comfy, in my opinion. The two bathrooms are interesting and come in handy at times.
At least with the studios you’re guaranteed a patio or balcony.
While I prefer regular hotel rooms, I’d stay in a Studio if I had to and/or wanted to save some $.

I'm seeing a lot of DVC villa room changes creeping up to my stay in September. No email from Disney yet about having to change rooms. I am curious if they'll end up being done the monorail station by the 50th. Seems like the work is taking a while (which makes sense for how extensive it is).
Going to AK (also staying at Poly) next week so interested in this as well. Would appreciate knowing how it went. Would it be better to take an Uber?I’d be at the bus stop 90’ish minutes before park opening. Bus should hopefully come 60-75’ish mins before opening. Things can vary on any given day, of course.
First of the day bus times/experiences are always appreciated, so please let us know how it goes! Good luck.
We head to the Poly tomorrow. When I get the room ready text, will it tell me which building I’m in or is there someway of knowing that by the room number I’m assigned?

No drawbacks plus you’ll have TWO bathrooms!! YOU COULD have your own and have the boys share the other!Hi all! We’re about to book a trip for April of next year. We get groceries delivered every trip (and twice a week at home). Just write this as the address:OK my fellow lovers of
The Poly and experts….
We’re arriving on Tuesday, like in two days Tuesday!!! And believe it or not we have never placed a grocery order. And we still really don’t want to but all I really need is a case or two of water.
What is the easiest, best, way to place this order??
and when do you place it??
And do you just put your name and address of the resort on the order or you include your reservation number?
I read these boards and found ppl recommend Insta cart, Amazon, Whole Foods, Amazon fresh and I’m really confused. DH says we can just buy the water or get the free but we drink A LOT of water and coming in August we’re gonna need more than a free cup here or there!
Thank you and I really appreciate all your help!!!

We also get breakfast stuff like cereal and milk so that we can get right out the door in the morning.
IMO Instacart is the best. They don’t have whole foods but Publix and all their other options are great.
