Nothing Can Stop Us Now! The End! Well almost, quick recap of Jan 22 trip! Update on April trip 4/21*

We had the same app at Topolino's and I had the rigatoni, enjoyed them both :) While the Riviera itself doesn't do anything for me, the artwork is wonderful and I like walking around a bit each time we're there to see more.

And FYI watching any version of 90 Day Fiance anywhere is the perfect end to a night lol!
This meal was so perfect for our first night. We really enjoyed everything we tried.
I really liked the Riviera so much, it is a favorite of ours now!
I’m with you on the 90 day franchise so glad we can stream it now with no commercials yay!

Andy would love this! That is a lot of scallops
I highly recommend this and yes you did get a nice portion of scallops
I am sure your ankle was happy with the low key evening. And what a nice relaxing dinner!
It really was nice to just relax and take in the resort atmosphere
I'm here and ready to follow along! Sorry to hear about the ankle. Ugh, that's the last thing you want to happen before a trip. Especially, Disney, where there's so much mobility involved. I hope the wheelchair helped!
Welcome and Thanks for joining! I know it was the worst timing possible. I have never had a problem like this, so unfortunate! We usually walk everywhere at Disney and this really put a damper on our touring. Thank goodness for the w/c!
That dinner looks amazing !! So sorry to hear about your ankle. I hope you still had an amazing trip
Thank you and Welcome 🤗 The meal was wonderful and perfect for our first night! The trip was good overall!

You've got one amazing young woman there Caroline. You must be so proud.
I totally agree, very proud of her!
Love this picture!!! You both look so happy
I think we were very hot and a tad tipsy 😵 We had been enjoying a fair amount of adult beverages at the F&W booths!
I can't wait to see what you thought about this. We are going next week. I'm so excited.
We loved it for what it is! It definitely is not a MNSSHP but it was very similar to the DAH events we have attended with many extras! You and Casey will love it! Jason to if he is going with!
Oh no!!!! Hoping for a pixie dusted miracle for y
Thank you, it is a little bit better but not great and I am seeing the foot/ankle specialist on Monday
Ugh I hate it when this happens. Same thing happened to me on our last trip. I get a known traveler number through work but for some reason it didn't make it to my boarding pass. And once its not there apparently they can do nothing about it
That is what happened, my known traveler number was not right!
We had this as well and it is divine!
Yummy, loved this, our waiter told us about the delicious olive oil they use!
Toppolinos is such a wonderful restaurant. We ended up eating here twice on our trip in June b/c it was so dang good. Hoping to stay at the Riveria one day so we can be right there
I’m excited to hear your reviews. I really liked staying at the Riviera
That is some view!!!
It really was for standard!
90 day fiance Caribbean??? I didn't even know this was a thing. We cut the cord a few years ago and have no cable or streaming tv besides Disney and Netflix. Now I need this in my life
Yes, there are so many now and all so addicting. You need to add Discovery + to your streaming channels, it is only 4.99 a month and so worth it! Mindless reality tv, :rotfl:

Haha 😂 it happens once in awhile!
;)
This risotto was very good. I love trying different ones!
Me too!
We started out with some awesome meals! Only one I wouldn’t go back to even if it is popular
Standing by for all the info. :)
Yes, you really do! It is wonderful and really pays tribute to Walt himself!
Maybe I'll even get to go before they tear it down because it's too old.
No, you have 90 days to get married, it is crazy and full of drama, so up there with once you start watching you can’t look away, lol 😆 It is the K1 visa process so you know some just want to come to the good old USA!
Ah.
Sounds... like a really good way to find your match in heaven.

:rolleyes1
Nurse abbreviation! I forget it isn’t common for everyone. I will use w/c quite a bit coming up so get your mind out of the water closet :rotfl:
Yes ma'am!

Wow, We love the Skyliner!
8/29. I made sure to wake Andi up at 6:45am so she could get us a boarding group! I wasn’t going to make the mistake of letting her sleep and miss out. She got us group 44. I was excited to ride this again! We only got 1 boarding group in June. I put an icy hot patch on my ankle and the ankle brace. We headed out around 8am. The lobby at The Riviera has fresh flowers at the entryway and these are changed out everyday. It was such a nice touch!
IMG_Sep132021at94756AM.jpg

We followed the signs to find the Skyliner. We found the path and entered the Skyliner area for DHS. There wasn’t a wait at all. The CM’s are very helpful when you are loading a wc.
IMG_Sep132021at95048AM.jpg

We lost a couple days of park passes because of my ankle. :( I left everything the same and Sunday was our planned HS day. The Skyliner stops at CBR and we did have to get off and switch cable cars. This was easy and again it was like a ghost town for Disney! If you are going to Epcot from Riviera you can stay in the same car.
Andi was pushing me in the w/c. Thank goodness she is strong and skateboards all the time. She said it was fine.
The line for security was nonexistent and the line at the entry was very small. We were let in around 8:30am.
We decided to do SD first. I was able to stay in the wc the whole queue. We waited about 15 minutes. We were able to ride again with about the same wait.

IMG_Sep132021at94858AM.jpg

I have never been to TSL when it was so quiet except for the 1 early morning magic we did. TSL is small and it doesn’t take much to feel crowded and seriously there was so few people in here. We decided to do TSMx2 and this was a walk on each time.
IMG_Sep132021at95525AM.jpg

I took a picture of the Pixar Ball without a person around it, wow that was amazing.
IMG_Sep132021at95424AM.jpg

We decided to do Aliens and this was also a walk on.
IMG_Sep132021at95336AM.jpg

We were hungry now and went to have a breakfast break with a Jak Jak cookie and water. Disney breakfast at its best. We went to the old Launch Bay Area to sit and eat this. Oh my this was so delicious. It was soft, warm and gooey! I look really hot in this picture and I was!
IMG_Sep132021at95726AM.jpg

We decided to wheel through Launch Bay and wow it was absolutely dead in there. It was a nice break from the heat.
We had been watching The Rise boarding info and unfortunately, Rise got a late start due to technical difficulties. We checked wait times for other attractions and ToT had been down most of the morning and still was and RnRc was also down. MMR was around 30 minutes in the hot sun so we passed. We decided to head back to the room and rest. The Skyliner back was very quick and easy. We checked out the grounds of The Riviera before going back up to the room.

IMG_Sep132021at95807AM.jpg

I put my foot up and iced my ankle for awhile. This was a nice break. Andi mobile ordered the Romano and Herbed French fries from Primo Piatto. I didn’t get a picture for some reason.:confused3 These are so yummy. We had tried these in June and loved them. We snacked on these and some of our treats in the room. We watched the boarding groups and planned to head back to HS close to our time return! Stay tuned for an afternoon at HS.

I made sure to wake Andi up at 6:45am so she could get us a boarding group!
How was waking her up? Depending on which kid it is, I have either a very easy time with one DD or a very hard time with the other.
She got us group 44.
Not too shabby. :)
I put an icy hot patch on my ankle
How did you keep it frozen? Was there a freezer part of a fridge in your room?
The lobby at The Riviera has fresh flowers at the entryway and these are changed out everyday.
Really! Very nice touch.
Andi was pushing me in the w/c. Thank goodness she is strong and skateboards all the time. She said it was fine.
If not, I guess you would've tried a scooter?
We decided to do SD first. I was able to stay in the wc the whole queue. We waited about 15 minutes.
That's it? That's nothing!
TSL is small and it doesn’t take much to feel crowded and seriously there was so few people in here. We decided to do TSMx2 and this was a walk on each time.
:sad2: It really was dead there this morning. Wow.
I took a picture of the Pixar Ball without a person around it, wow that was amazing.
Yeah, I've never seen it like that either.
We were hungry now and went to have a breakfast break with a Jak Jak cookie and water. Disney breakfast at its best.
I look really hot in this picture and I was!
Depends on how you define "hot".

Either way, you look great. :)
Rise got a late start due to technical difficulties. We checked wait times for other attractions and ToT had been down most of the morning and still was and RnRc was also down.
Whoa. They were all down? That's a lot of headliners at once.

Following! So sorry about your ankle - hope you figured out what caused it...?

That room is gorgeous, and that food.... YUMMMY! Someday I'd love to stay at a nicer resort (we did AoA last November) but with all the changes coming up, I think my Disney experiences will all be of the vicarious sort for a while. Looking forward to reading more - and hoping your darn ankle starts feeling better!

That’s so funny that you have to wake up Andi to get a boarding group, I am usually the one dragging my mom out of bed on trips because she’d sleep until 10 otherwise . The skyliner definitely seems like the best transport for wheelchairs, glad that worked well. I saw that the crowds were super low at the end of August, that seems like a dream (if you can stand the heat)! I can’t imagine being in TSL while it’s that empty. That cookie is so good, in Disneyland they have a GF cookie with jam that I need to try because I hear it’s delicious. If I was staying at the Riviera, I think I’d be getting those fries every single night after the parks! They are so good!

, I honestly didn’t know if there was an Irish language, thought it was all English with a cool accent lol 😆
:rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:English is widely spoken North and South but there are certain parts of Donegal called the Gaeltacht where they only speak Gaelige. My Irish is very limited - a few prayers and couple greetings and the most important word in the Irish language- slaínte! Slaínte ( pronounced slan-cha) means cheers so there ya go you can now toast everyone and everything in Irish 🥂🥃🍷🧉🥃🤣🍀.
Matthew was quite fluent but I fear he will lose it now he isn’t doing the subject in school. No biggie though.

Oh boy! The school setting is a hard place right now!
Thankfully the government had just announced they will vaccinated age 12 and over now. Bout time!

. She will pick Disney or A Latin America trip

Exciting times ahead!

We also had the epi bread with delicious olive oil and we ordered the ricotta and tomato jam, this was so delicious. We were so hungry and it tasted wonderful. All the components on this plate worked so well together with the yummy bread. The combination of the mild ricotta with the balsamic and tomato jam was so delicious.

Ricotta Tomato, Aged Balsamic, Cracked Pepper, Basil.

That looks soooooo good.

We loved our meal and service here. It was so nice!

I have ADRs here for breakfast and dinner in October and I cannot decide which to keep. We've never done either.

She got us group 44

Yay! Love these kids with their fast fingers. Allie is my BG Getter!

Andi was pushing me in the w/c. Thank goodness she is strong and skateboards all the time. She said it was fine.

yikes…that makes me cringe…the scooter would have been soooo much easier!

I miss those EMM days. Those were my jam. If they ever come back, I'll be first in line!

It was soft, warm and gooey! I look really hot in this picture and I was!

Yum! We love those Jack-Jack cookies too 😋

What an amazing morning you had at HS. I can’t imagine how quiet it must have been to ride so many things with so little queuing especially given so much was down. Love the photo of the Pixar ball. So sorry your ankle was still playing up-thank good you had the foresight to order a w/c and bring Andi along to push it 😜 They were only building the skyliner the last time I was at WDW (yes it’s been that long) but I like the look of it. Other family members not so much 🤣. Maybe one of these days I’ll get to see it for myself 🤞

How nice to be on the skyliner to be able to go back to the room and rest.

She is easy to wake early, thank goodness. She is very easygoing even in the early morning.
Not too shabby.
I was surprised it was 44 with the low crowds, especially since she has got 9, 11, 21 before when it was more crowded.
How did you keep it frozen? Was there a freezer part of a fridge in your room?
This studio did have a freezer in the fridge and also a microwave which is nice!
Really! Very nice touch.
The fresh flowers smelled so good in the lobby
If not, I guess you would've tried a scooter
In retrospect I should have just done a scooter but it worked out fine! She did tell me she was sweating way more than she usually does at Disney, lol 😂
That's it? That's nothing!
I know the wait times for TSL were amazing, nothing like June!
It really was dead there this morning. Wow.
It was! I loved it!
Depends on how you define "hot".

Either way, you look grea
I didn’t realize how that sounded lol! My face was red!
Whoa. They were all down? That's a lot of headliners at once.
It’s crazy how in June and now in August both ToT and RnRC were down both mornings!

Hello 👋 and Welcome! The ankle did put a damper on things but we still enjoyed ourselves, just a little different than we usually do!
I loved the Riviera and highly recommend a stay there.
Topolinos was so yummy. I’m glad we decided to check it out.
I hope you get back to WDW before to long. We stayed at AoA in the LM rooms once and we were closer to the Pop food court

I need her quick fingers on the IPhone lol 😂 I tried once on my own and got nothing! The Skyliner was so awesome and really quick with the low crowds!
We have been going every late August since 2015 and overall very low crowds! Very hot weather except this trip wasn’t too bad.
The French fries are so yummy 🤤

Jak Jak cookie
YUM I had this for the first time last month and it'll be my breakfast at HS this month again!
Andi mobile ordered the Romano and Herbed French fries from Primo Piatto. I didn’t get a picture for some reason.:confused3 These are so yummy.
YUM again! These really area good :) What a great time at HS with no crowds, reminds me a bit of our first few post-COVID trips!

Y’all are so cute!! My 20 year old DD is my Disney buddy. We’re going in October for my 50th birthday on her college fall break. I love Riviera and you had an awesome view!

She is easy to wake early, thank goodness. She is very easygoing even in the early morning.
<crisis averted!>
I was surprised it was 44 with the low crowds, especially since she has got 9, 11, 21 before when it was more crowded.
She's slipping. You sure she's an early riser? Hmmmm?
This studio did have a freezer in the fridge and also a microwave which is nice!
Nice.

Hi Everyone!
I wanted to put in a little RL update!
I saw the foot and ankle specialist on Monday. I have a peroneal tendon injury! It is a common runners injury. I do not run, even for my favorite food!

I do walk about 3-4 miles every day so could be from that. Who knows, anyways it sucks.
I need to keep it immobilized in a big old boot for 1 month and I am on a prescription strength anti-inflammatory. I have to say the pain is improving now!
I also have to wear my orthotics at all times from now on.
I was sternly told no traveling right now or this maybe a problem for a lot longer.
605192
I think you all know where this is going! No 50th celebration for me! I canceled our late September trip.
I’m sad but what can you do, things happen and I have been lucky 🍀 to have 3 Disney trips so far this year!
My sister is actually relieved 😅 she was having doubts about traveling with the current P situation. I hate that word. I have to say it and the stupid virus name at work all day long so no I refuse to mention it here! 🤬
She is not use to wearing a mask all day like I am and she was not wanting to do this!
We have decided to try next year around this time so we can do HHN at Universal! She loves Halloween 🎃

Right now Andi and I plan to travel to Disney in late January, March, and Fall. The positive is Andi will come with us next year at this time.
I have some cool 50th dresses and shirts, I will have to wear those in January!
I am happy to see Dessert Parties returning and I will definitely plan one of those for January and fall!
