Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Any late Oct / Early Nov Swan Reserve updates? Still havent heard anything about my 11/4 res. Not optimistic at this point.

Tried to book a disney package but nothing shows up for my dates. Then tried to book a room only through Marriott and that worked. How do I go about getting theme park tickets. Never did this one my own, always went through Disney. And will I still get all the perks by doing this not through Disney??
Thanks for any help

Thank you! Did yours have a balcony in one or both rooms?

The KING Room didn't have a balcony - it truly is in the corner of the hotel - but if you look at the 1st picture, that would have been the room to the right (by the door near the bed rather than the door by the tV) and it LOOKS like a Balcony - but I don't know for sure.

I heard November opening but have no reason to believe that the CM I spoke with had any particular inside knowledge. Marriott.Com just says “Opening Oct 2021” but is no longer showing me any dates available to book. Same with WDW site.
I moved my Dec reservation from SR to Dolphin for 2 reasons:

1) When I booked CM told me1 bdrm suite had 2 bathrooms. I called back a month later and they said 1 bathroom but that no one had seen firsthand. 1 bathroom is a non starter for us. On site reservations weren’t able to price or check availability on a 2 bdrm for our Dec dates.

2) The uncertainty was causing me stress, even though every CM said they had no doubts about December. So I figured even if the Dolphin room isn’t as nice, it’s a guarantee we’ll have the space & location we want and vacation planning isn’t supposed to be stressful

Ah ok. I see it now. Thank you! Reservations said we have a balcony but I didn’t know which room that meant (or both). Forgot to ask. The category is Deluxe, and view says limited. We’ll see I guess.
Thanks again

“Deluxe” indicates a balcony in the room.

Did your room have a little dining table in it. The CM said there would be one but maybe it’s in the other room
The dining table is in the parlor, which is connected and on the other side of the bedroom door(s).

Hi everyone. I apologize if this info is in this thread, but I searched and can't seem to find a definitive answer. We are checking into the Swan this weekend and then transferring to VGF. Will the Swan transfer our luggage to VGF? Or are we better off booking lyft/uber and transferring our luggage on our own. Thank you so much for any info you have!
I'd call them to be sure, but I'd be surprised if they did, since they are run by two different organizations (Disney and Marriott). Might be safer to grab an Uber/Lyft!

My understanding is that transfers are being done again. If not, I will be corrected.

Thanks for responding! We‘ll ask when we get there. If they can’t do it, we’ll do uber/Lyft. I’ll report back!

I have a reservation at Dolphin with park tickets that is linked to MDE. My final itinerary email says that I can pick up my park tickets at the front desk upon check-in. Do I really have to do this? I assumed I could use the MDE app for park entry.

Regarding transferring luggage between a Disney resort and Swan/Dolphin: I thought it was being done one way and not the other. Like you could get your luggage transferred from a Disney resort to Swan/Dolphin, but you could not get your luggage transferred from Swan/Dolphin to a Disney resort. I am posting this so that someone with actual knowledge can clarify, because someone upthread asked.

Since you have a package they are required to provide you with physical RF ID tickets. They are held at the front desk for you.

No you don't have to pick them up since you already have your tickets linked in MDE. You can use MDE and generate MagiMobile Passes on your smartphone's Wallet app. Or you can use MagicBands.

Note: I would personally stop by the front desk and pickup the tickets you might one of the 6 versions of the 50th Anniversary RF ID tickets.

I have a swan package, but don't see my tickets in MDE. My package (resort) shows up in MDE, but not the tickets themselves. I am also confused about the "pick up at the desk" verbiage in the final itinerary email.
I happen to have other packages reserved so I have park reservations for those overlapping days, but will be cancelling those package reservations and keeping the swan. Will my park reservations go away since I don't see the swan package tickets in MDE? Sorry if I'm not making sense! TIA

Park reservations are tied to tickets, not resort stay, so if there are no tickets showing, you will lose the reservations. Back in the days of FP+, Disney could assign a "dummy" ticket number for reservations at their partner hotels.

I did NOT have a dining table - there was a coffee table and some side tables. There was also a small desk.

The Grand Suites have a big living room, dining/conference table, plus wet bar area. (A friend regularly stays in that type of room so I've seen it in person). But I don't think that room connects to another room - unless there's a connection door by the wet bar.

Hello All, does anyone have a current picture of the inside of the room mini-fridge?? Trying to figure out what cold items I can store...TIA
