Where is your next vacation?

3 Week road trip in April from CT down to Orlando for a two week stay at WDW Boulder Ridge and Bay Lake Tower. I don't know what stops we'll make on the way down right now. We usually try to hit some place different each time. Last time was Hilton Head, the time before that Savannah.
We do the same. This year it will be the Georgia Sea Islands…always wanted to stop instead of flying right by.

The next is a cruise over New Years. It will have been 900 days between cruises.

The following one is a Vegas/Sedona trip.

My wife has a girls trip between those.

NYC over New Years with my 18 year old son! It’s part one of his senior trip. Going to do the once on a lifetime thing of watching the ball drop in Times Square…I’ll report back if it’s a terrible as everyone says 🤣 I’m actually really looking forward to the energy and excitement…the cold and standing in one spot for 12 hours not so much 🤣

Well, I would like to say England but it's not looking good right now because of Covid. My husband and I bought our passports late summer of 2019 in anticipation of my first international trip. We were scheduled for June 2020 but of course that was cancelled. Fast forward to this summer and it was still too unpredictable with all the tests and restrictions in place. I went ahead and booked a tour through Rick Steves Europe for next June 2022. We put down a deposit but it's fully refundable if we decide to cancel by end of this month. I really thought we would be okay by then but if they are still requiring the pcr tests then it's a no. My husband and I are fully vaxxed and boosted but we can't risk the chance we test positive-we will lose all our vacation time and the money to get over there. It's just not worth it. So I've been looking into NYC. We've never been there and we love food, lol. I'm just starting to research and there's so much to do, very overwhelming. I'm excited about it though, I love to plan trips!

It is as bad as everyone says. We were a group of 4. At some point during the night we all wanted to quit but were convinced to stay by the others who soon wanted to quit. Everyone around us was there for the first time. I don't think many do it more than once in a lifetime.

I Hope you have better weather than we did!

It was definitely exciting and horrible at the same time.

I have a two nighter scheduled for St Louis in January.

I would love to go on my first cruise in 2022. Been saying this for over a decade but one of these years I’ll actually pull the trigger.

I just posted a poll yesterday trying to decide that - I haven't made spring break plans yet, but I know I want to since DD20 said she'd rather meet up with us than try to plan something with friends.

As far as things that I've already started booking, I'm going to Chicago solo for a weekend in May. The next family trip will hopefully be Ireland and the UK in July while older DD is studying abroad there, but covid restrictions have the potential to sink that. I haven't worked out a plan B summer trip for if that happens. And in the fall, we're going to WDW for a long weekend to celebrate older DD's 21st birthday with a few days of Food & Wine Festival.

Next is a WDW/Universal trip for Marathon Weekend first week of January.

Then heading back to Zion in March (quick trip this time, just to run).
VA Beach in March (again, running)

Then a Mt Rainier, Olympic, Cascades, Crater Lake trip in July.

Hopefully a trip to Ireland and/or the UK some time next year.

Haven't figured out my fall trips yet. Then probably a few other small trips throughout the first half of next year as well.

2 cruises on the disney dream right after Christmas. A week in harbor island, Bahamas in May. A week in watercolor in June. The 8 night eastern on the disney fantasy in October.

May add in a week on the fantasy in March with my son if there is a good guarantee rate. Will also add in a trip in august somewhere.

That's where I'm at with it too, and it is so disappointing because DD20 will be there all summer. So we'll be missing out not only on a bucket-list destination but also on spending time with her during her last summer as a student. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things start to change for the better in the spring and we can manage to make it happen despite the pandemic, or that we can at least plan for a European destination with fewer restrictions and meet up with DD there, but I'm not very optimistic at this point.

Hoping for Phoenix for Spring Training in March. But with the baseball lockout, there may not be Spring training. And for us, covid would also have to settle down. So nowhere right now. To be honest, for my wife and I after raising two kids, the pandemic forcing us to stay home has kind of been a nice change of pace.

I'm trying to visit my friend in Japan this summer but I think everything has taken 2 steps back. She was hearing predictions of being open to outside travelers in April which would have been great for me in June but I just have no clue at this point. It sucks because by the time I am able to get over there, her husband and her will be stationed at another base in another country, I'm sure. We had planned on visiting Tokyo Disney, Tokyo, and Kyoto.

If Japan doesn't open up by June, I am seriously considering taking a road trip on the old Route 66 and seeing the different sites. It's always fascinated me so that might be fun.

WDW next week Dec. 12-17. Probably a 3 night camping trip in Chattanooga in Jan (not really a vacation since it's for hubby's work but the dog and I will be hiking while he's off at work). Most likely some more camping trips in 2022, some for hubby's work some for fun. I'm determined to get to the coast of Alabama this year. Will probably be back at WDW in Feb.
