Thanks for this, I don’t know why Disney thinks it’s helpful to label things A, B, & C without providing a key (I just figured out that if you tap the buildings, it tells you what they are, but my point still stands)Expo Overview:

I see two main scenarios:
I want runDisney merchandise
My recommendation is to go to A (Advent Health Arena) first. If you go on the first day (Thursday, Feb 24th) around opening (10am), then expect to wait in line to get inside. The earlier you arrive, the more likely you will be to get a specific item or size. Items do tend to sell out within hours of the Expo opening, and it is impossible to predict. However, given shipping shortages worldwide, and Spring Surprise was given no pre-sale opportunities, I believe merch will be more limited than a normal runDisney event. The expo buses begin running around 9:30am from resorts.
After shopping in A (Advent Health Arena), head to C (HP Field House) to pick up you bib. If you need to sign a paper waiver, or talk with runner's relations, then this is also in the HP Field House.
After picking up your bib in C (HP Field House), head to B (VISA Athletic Center) to pick up your free event shirt. At the VISA Athletic Center is where you'll also find other non-runDisney vendors.

If you're a visual person, this is a youtube video from MW 2022 that shows a good run-down of the Expo experience upon arriving at WWOS.
When you walk in, the first big building on the right has your disney merch. Thanks for this, I don’t know why Disney thinks it’s helpful to label things A, B, & C without providing a key (I just figured out that if you tap the buildings, it tells you what they are, but my point still stands)
For these people it still may be good to go into the runDisney building— for MW they had a lot of really fun and creative photo opps!I don't want runDisney merchandise
Now that we've got locations, courses, and timing, anyone interested in pre-race meetups? Is there a particular place people would prefer? Something easy to find?
I would come to a pre-race meetup for the 10k and half. I can never interpret these maps into irl places so I don't have any suggestions of where to meet.Planned Meetups
We have the Disboards meetup: Saturday, 2/26/22, at 2:30pm-4:30pm at Hurricane Hannah's at Beach Club (link).

I don't know if this makes sense in this situation, or what it would be like to cover many miles on one of these, but have you seen those little scooter-type devices people use for a lower leg injury, where you have your good foot on the ground, and your bad foot in a kneeling position with the scooter underneath (sorry I don't know what they are called)? I think I saw at least one person using one in the half over MW.GUYS - bad news. I likely have a stress fracture in my lower left leg. Doc says I should stay off it for 4-6 weeks. Getting an MRI in a week and will have more specifics then but there is virtually no chance I am running the Challenge.
But, I really think I could not run for the next 3 weeks and then run/'walk the 10k. I have been running 13 miles/week for about 3 weeks with this stress fracture (it's a mild/dull pain) and it has not gotten significantly worse. But I knew something was up and clearly I need to stay off it to heal. BUT, this is/was my first runD weekend, and I really want the experience of a race! I think I can do the 10k without causing any damage. I am considering walking the HM but that might be too much. We also arrive on 2/19 so I am there a week in advance and will clearly be walking a good amount before the races.
I"M SO SAD!!

The more specific and clear we can be on the location the better. So someone doesn't accidentally do something incredibly dumb like JOIN THE WRONG GROUP for the 5K meetup. For example.
For MW, there was an area to the far right of the photo backdrops (as you face the stage), and a Joffrey's coffee truck parked there. That was our landmark for the meetups, which some of us did manage to (eventually) find. I suppose we can't be sure that truck will be in the same spot, but once we had a tall guy with a sign in that area, most of us found the right place.

Has anyone dealt with this before? If I contact runD with a doctor's note, could I get the HM portion of my registration refunded? Or maybe I would need to get a refunded for the full challenge, probably can't pick and choose (if refund is even an option).
I'm also registered for the 10k and 10M for SS. Not sure I will be able to train for that, given it's 8 weeks away. I might just bag that trip and register for Nov. instead.
Did I mention that I'm sad.

Red Pac Man took the above picture. The faded blue triangle represents the picture area. There are three yellow circles which are each of the lightposts and a fourth that in the above picture during MW 2022 was green. The black arrow shows which lightpost I'm suggesting.
Duh. I don't know why I didn't put together that "entertainment" meant the dj stage. I'd meet at either the green light, if that's what @The Expert suggests, or the yellow light @DopeyBadger is pointing to. I think I can figure that. Worst case I'd just check under every light post
Yeah, I think if we pick “under a lamppost near the **whatever**” would probably narrow it down enough for me. Just don’t use the words ”left” or “right” because I don’t know the difference most of the timeDuh. I don't know why I didn't put together that "entertainment" meant the dj stage. In my experience it's pretty casual, people join and leave the group as they arrive and then decide to join the corrals. What time should the meetup be if the start groups open up around 3:55am-ish?
