Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Looking for September and found swan had the Deluxe Resort View, Guest room, 2 Queen, Balcony. Am I off-base in thinking these are the rooms that overlook the little river the boats drive back and forth from Hollywood studios? Also looking directly over at boardwalk hotel?
There are some that face that direction, yes. But resort view is really just any room that has a view of the resort grounds. There are a significant number of rooms in that balcony category that overlook the Swan’s courtyard, including facing directly towards the Dolphin.

The east side of the east wing jutting out from the main building is the one that would fit you question. And you need to be at least 5th floor or above. I think there are 9 floors there.

Is there such a thing as a bad view at Swan Reserve? Dolphin’s rates have gone up nearly $200/night but Swan and Swan Reserve have dropped to what Dolphin’s rates were. I could book a king no view at SR for about what I paid for a king balcony at Dolphin. Would the “upgrade” to the newest resort be worth it?

I had a no view room at the Swan Reserve - it was a view of the pool and the highway beyond. It was not a bad view, but did not spend a lot of time in the room.

I have a Swan resv for end of March, and the price has changed three times since I booked, it went higher. I got a good deal.

We leave tomorrow:) for the Swan. I just realized that we are actually Platinum Elite members. Can anyone with experience since the pandemic tell me what that includes? It said we could get free breakfast (I believe this is just for 2 ppl. though?) Can you tell me how this work or which places we can go to redeem and how?

Any other benefits? Thanks so much for any feedback! I thought I had researched everything, but then forgot to think about our membership/benefits lol. This is our first time staying at Swan/Dolphin.

I can't help with the benefits question (others will) but did want to wish you all a great first-time trip to the Swan. You'll love it. Enjoy.

It’s telling me the same for early for swan, dolphin and reserve. Wondering if maybe bookings aren’t open yet? Does it really book out that far in advance?
I don't know what your dates are but I was able to find rooms with no issue at Dolphin over President's day weekend. If you have some wiggle room maybe add/remove a day and that may help some.

Not sure how this level works at the Swan, but I know others here are at that level.

Here is all I found on the Marriott site, which you probably already know.

You might also be able to find the benefits in this search of this thread.
