Does anyone know how long Gaston's stays open on party nights?
Gaston's Tavern closes everyday 3 hours before MK closes. So, on party nights, that would be 3:00pm. In the past it would open back-up for the party, often offering special MNSSHP treats. However, I have not seen any reports of that being the case this year.

Thank you. That’s what I was afraid of. We experienced the same at the Christmas party this past year. Ughhhhh.

Sadly I have had to reschedule my trip. My party ticket is for this Tuesday night. I've had to push it out a few weeks and looking ahead at my schedule/school/kid stuff, the only time I can go is September 18-21. There are 2 parties during that time but both are sold out. I did call and talk to someone who was super nice as I was curious if it was "sold out" for just purchasing new tickets and maybe if you currently have a ticket, you might be able to just transfer it to a date regardless of sold out status. Unfortunately that is not the case but I was told that as long as the ticket is not scanned, it will remain as a credit in my account to use in the future for another party ticket. She did also say that sometimes the status will change from sold out to for sale again, but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed for that. Just thought I would post for anyone that might be curious about what happens when unable to use a ticket.

We attended the party last night. DW and I are local AP holders with no children. Due to the rain, we arrived right around 7pm. DW really likes meeting characters, so the goal was to try and do the unique meet and greets as opposed to getting on a lot of rides. This was our first party, but we are veterans of the after hours events.

We were really disappointed with the meet and greets, specifically the waits and the lack of published schedule. With the lack of published schedules it was hard to plan a way to meet as many characters as possible. We expected there to be waits. Our issue was that the lines moved so incredibly slow. I understand the characters wanting to make every interaction special, but spending minutes with each group just talking to them before actually taking the photos seems unnecessary. We ended up only doing two meet and greets.

The first one we did was for Aladdin and Abu. Or so we thought. A few minutes after getting in line for Aladdin and Abu, we were informed that those of us towards the end of the line would likely end up seeing Jasmine and Genie because they were switching. Disappointing, but not a huge deal. What we did not understand is why there was a 10 minute gap from when Aladdin and Abu exited and when Jasmine and Genie came out. I am sure there are logistical reasons I may not be aware of, but it just eats time during a limited hours event. When we finally got to meet Jasmine and Genie, they spent several minutes just talking to us before finally having us pose for the photo. I think it would make more sense to do the talking while they got everyone in place and the take the photo so more parties can get through. But I know that some people really enjoy the interaction as much as the actual photo, so this is just our opinion.

The second meet and greet we did was Jack and Sally. When we entered the theater the line did not appear to be very long. It moved as expected, with the line moving and stopping as the allowed groups to enter that area just before the meet and greet takes place. When we finally got into the part where you about to be one of the next groups for the meet and greet the line stopped moving for 30+ minutes. There was no communication from the castmembers about the delay or how long it might take. I know that from time to time there are pauses for breaks or switches but this seemed to be something different. The lack of communication really did not help. Again, when it was our turn, they wanted to spend several minutes talking before taking the photo, and at that point all I could think of were all of the people waiting behind us after such a long wait.

I think we are in the minority, but we really liked the socially distanced meet and greets because you could get in and out a lot faster.

We did enjoy the trick or treating and the fireworks. We also managed to ride Pirates which was fun with the addition of some live actors. The decorations throughout the park were great. It was crowded, which I anticipated from prior reviews. The weather was gross, which was to be expected. I don't think the value is there for the price. Where as we think the after hours events are worth it.

Change of plans, had to move our trip to December and while I'm excited to go back again for MVMCP, very disappointed that we will miss MNSSHP this year, we'll try again next year. Hope everyone going this fall has a great time and gets lots of pixies dust!

If anyone has or runs across a video of that last float absolutely flying down Main Street, let me know. That was wild.
I searched…. Nothing online …
One year the Headless Horseman’s horse slipped and lost footing and somebody caught that on film… Scary! But nobody was seriously hurt. Thankfully.

In 2018 (I know, I know) at MVMCP they checked for party passes, and distributed wristbands in the Sandy Claws Jack and Sally line. It was AWESOME!!! No clue if they do that anymore. I'm hoping someone can verify whether or not that is the case this year.
Thank you! Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Meeting Jack and Sally was a priority for us, so we decided to wait in the regular party line (second people in line at 3:15 p.m). Cast members confirmed that we would need a wristband to get in line, and if we were already in the park we had to go to one of the other locations or exit and re-enter. The party lines outside the gate were a little hectic- one cast member with an iPad was scanning and giving out wristbands to just one single line of people, and then another line was let in a few minutes before everyone else, and when someone complained, the other cast members started letting everyone else go as well. But all in all, we got in fairly quickly and had about 30 people ahead of us when we got in line for Jack and Sally. They started meeting at 4:30 and we only waited about 10 minutes once the line started.

Anyone stayed at Poly and know if resort boats are still running after party? I assume so, I know they did prepandemic, but double checking. :)
(Asked in Poly thread, but thought someone here may have better experience)

Does anyone know if the trams are running in the parking lot during the party? We will be driving our car

So where do you get your wristbands? Jack and Sally are priorities for us also and we will already be in the park for day. Thanks!

Where is the best place to stand to see Max Goof? We are dressing up as Max and Roxanne so want to make sure we see him! And how early should we head to get our spot? Don’t mind not being in front, as long as we can see.
