I was just online looking to see if our deed was recorded (searching from 3/1 to today) and I came across 9 ROFR buybacks that included SSR, CCV, RIV...

ETA: It looks like the SSR might have been a foreclosure and one other possible foreclosure... but is ROFR going to wake up?

I think you are right... I looked at it more closely and it looks like the SSR was going to go to auction and the two RIV ones were foreclosures but the CCV ones were buybacks... my apologies for the "fake news"

Either foreclosures or someone wanted to buy direct points and DVC didn't have enough. It is in DVDs best interest to only ROFR points as they need them for direct sales. This way they are not "stuck" holding on to unsold sold out resort points and MFs, buying points as they need them at rock bottom prices.

Finally able to post this. Came to agreement on 2/27. Documents received 3/1. I returned same day. Seller 3/3 .Sent to ROFR 3/7. I originally offered $120 and reimburse dues for 2024 points missing at closing. For some reason they wanted lower price per point than to reimburse at closing.

They take all different ones…I have seen both kinds take over the years and don’t seem to think one is more or less likely than the rest.
