My thoughts exactly... new SAPs? I mean, 200 pts can get you pretty much any 1BR at 7months.

I've been doing it all wrong!! Buying into the philosophy of buy where I want to stay and resorts with the lowest dues!

Dang, that CCV price! I am getting ready to bid on smaller CCV contract and was considering offering $140. Had it been sitting a while?

Couple of weeks? As many have said, make lots of offers, be pleasant but firm, and expect many of the agents to be hostile or not return phone calls.

Until the contracts on market cut in half, this is going to be the new normal I fear. I put the DVC market turning around in late 2024 early 2025.

at what point does buying Vero makes sense?! I know their dues are high but if the initial buy in is this low, and these points can be used anywhere except for Riviera, one starts to wonder........

VB scares me to death on where those dues are going, especially with high point contracts. $12.85 currently and growing 5% overall with spikes of 7%... That means by the end of the contract the dues will be reaching over $31.00 plus a point. On a 200 point contact that will be 6,200... That makes your price per point over the life of the contract similar to one of the premier DVC's at a good buy in price.

I generally don't post my buys/sells, but just had two passes - 125 at CCV on a loaded 200pt contract and 90 at SSR on a loaded 200 point contract. ROFR took 7 days. Disney is clearly not putting a floor under things. Good luck to all putting offers out there as we try to find how low the elevator goes!

Congratulations! This gives me hope! We are currently waiting in ROFR to hear back on our $130 pp 200 point CCV contract.

Thank you but she did say I could use him just the closing fee may be different to that previously quoted. I was just generally wondering if there was a great advantage to paying more for him.

Did you get a quote for Mason versus Magic Vacation Title? Cuz I can tell you when I had them check for a previous contract I bought Mason ended up being cheaper.

It does not make sense unless you are buying it to use at Vero, at nearly any price point. Those dues will overwhelm your initial purchase price savings very quickly. If you are buying it because you need priority access to Vero then it can make sense.

They'll actually be far higher than $22 a point because of the compounding nature of interest. I posted this in another thread, but this is what the Vero dues will look like if they **only** increase by 5 percent each year:

I bought my 25 pt contract to plump up my BLT priority points. Same UY so it’s easy to combine contracts for booking. For those that like to bank and borrow though, that’s 75 points to play with that can be used for a reservation.
