I attended DAH at MK on March 6. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I got done immediately after close. I did 4 rides in one hour (including PP), picked up my wristband, and got treats. The ride lines were actually longer later in the evening for PP. So don’t despair.

Will I not be able to take the Skyliner back from Epcot and Studios to POP? I just saw this on the POP boards that a bus is offered instead? Is that true? I'm guessing a bus takes you from the front, not the IG? I'm just making sure I know where to go!


Realizing now we haven't had an Epcot one yet so we probably don't know this for sure

No, the Skyliner does not normally run for After Hours events. Buses are available from the normal bus locations so for Epcot a bus would be available at the front of the park.

This information has been confirmed on the Transportation board. Skyliner normally runs until 10:30PM and then buses after that. Similarly, the monorail shuts down for MK AH parties and buses are run.

Did you buy this thinking you will not be able to ride during late hours party? I was under the impression if I order an after hours party all items would be free to walk on. We are debating buying for June Hollywood studios.

No, I know we'll be able to ride it during the party but it usually has a 30+ minute wait even during after hours parties (which we've done 7 so far over including last Monday night) and I'm just not willing to give up that time during the party. We prefer to ride the things we love over and over again with minimal wait (5-10mins) and the ILL just ensures I will ride it once if we run out of time.
Was it necessary? No
Would I pay for ILL again on a party night? Maybe, just depends on what I'm prioritizing that day.
This is the last week of our 3 week stay in Florida and the only Disney we've done is a DHS AH party and 2 MK AH parties so I felt it ok to spend the $$ for the ILL to just save time later on.
I know you said you were debating AH for DHS, when we did it March 8th, I did not purchase anything extra and had no issues riding everything we wanted including ROTR with a 15-20 minute wait.
If there's anything I can tell you about AH is that they are all about timing and sometimes you'll inadvertently time everything wrong and end up a little frustrated depending on crowd flows and where you choose to start and other times, everything just flows perfectly and you'll seem to hit every ride at the perfect time and it feels magical. Despite a great game plan, it can sometimes be a crapshoot but to me, totally worth it.

Thinking of buying in June- how is the hs event- you get to do everything? No need to order ILL or genie plus right

We went to the ahs on 2/22 and I know some feel that party was an exception and it may have been, but we found it a waste of money and really even our time. I was expecting to get to ride everything with very low waits but that was not the case. We rode most things, but it was definitely a let down and we won't be doing it again. I think it's way more of an advantage to spend the day at the park with genieplus.

Thanks everyone for all this valuable information! Its good to know that you can buy an individual lightning lane if needed. I see that TRON closing at 6pm knocks out the ability to buy a lightning lane for that during the event, since you don't get let in until 7pm. I am hoping that next week they might decide to let it stay open just a little later, hahaha.

This makes me nervous! At this point our HS day is only the party fingers crossed! No plans on spending any extras for ILL or genie plus or day ticket

No, I don’t think you’ll get a refund no matter how many times you call. Allowing you to transfer the funds to a future party is the standard accommodation Disney makes when guests can’t use their special event tickets. And for a nonrefundable ticket, that’s pretty generous.

Ooh, I never went to the MVMCP 2 years ago because I was ill and I didn't realize there could be a credit. Perhaps too late though at this point.

I don't think the credits expire so worth calling and looking into.

I can't locate the receipt so I thought I was pretty much screwed. DH had me check All Mail and I found it. Now to find a party that I want to attend. Probably won't be until December's trip but since we're going Christmas week there probably won't be any. All I can do is try for a future trip. Thank you!

I'm not sure, but they do have buses at HS for BC/YC/BWI when the boats are down because of lightning so it's not unheard of.

When we did MK EEH back in January 7DMT was down and we didn't get to do it. I wished we had purchased an ILL for earlier in the evening, but we ended up being able to rope drop it later in the week so it worked out.

OK, here's my report for MK AH last night. Firstly, we were at last Monday's party also we weren't trying to get on every attraction, we just did what we loved and anything else that we wanted to hop on while walking by.
We entered the park around 7:50pm and just walked around before getting a Dole Whip swirl then we headed to our ILL for 7DMT between 8:10-9:10 so we rode:

Peoplemover
Under the Sea
BTMR (×3)
Haunted Mansion (×2)
Space Mountain
Small World
Jungle Cruise
Pirates

14 rides/attractions is a pretty good party night in my opinion.
We ate a ton of ice cream and popcorn throughout the night and stopped riding anything at 12:45am (so we could've squeezed in another attraction had we liked)
Lastly, it was very cold out, we're from Canada and were dressed for it, cannot fathom how the folks in T shirts and shorts were able to function, Lol.

I don't think the Boardwalk runs buses either. I like to get on the boat - or if desperate, you should rideshare / Minnie Van.

The day I’m doing HS AH is my Typhoon Lagoon day, so I don’t have a reservation at HS - just the HS AH ticket. Since I don’t need reservations at TL, if I do reserve HS, does that mean I can do ILL for HS that night ?

You can purchase ILL with just your AH ticket.

You do not need to book HS as it is included (7PM onwards) with your AH ticket. Guests are reporting being able to purchase ILL$ with only their AH ticket.
