That looks really scary
Yes. Until the Friday before Memorial Day, F! runs only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The DL website has "Fantasmic!" back on the schedule as of Friday, but who knows whether that will actually happen. At this time of the year (we're post-Spring Break now), the show only runs a few nights a week anyway, right? Would it have been tonight and then not again until Friday?
The Mark Twain and the Columbia were both running today.A bit worried what this will mean for the Mark Twain and Tom Sawyer Island. Visiting next month. Missing Fantasmic is one thing, but it would be a shame if they have to take out the river traffic to allow repairs on the island.
That's what I was thinking. Don't they have a version without the dragon?I think after they remove the burned out husk, they'll just clean up the area and put up the water projection version of the dragon. We got that the last time we were there. It's not as fun but it's still a good show. No telling how much a replacement might cost and how long performances would be down to replace it.
Eh, they've been running Fantasmic for decades. They can figure out what happened in this extremely rare event. No need to get rid of the real fire.It was also the dragon that caught fire in the parade at Magic Kingdom a couple years ago. I think they need to replace the fire with some “magic” flame.
A little more preventive maintenance is needed, I would think.Eh, they've been running Fantasmic for decades. They can figure out what happened in this extremely rare event. No need to get rid of the real fire.
Yes, there are times when the dragon mechanism may not be working or operating correctly and they use the giant water wall to project the dragon and use the normal fire effects over the river. When we were there last June, they used this instead of the normal mechanical dragon. It's like B Mode for Rise where you don't get the Kylo animatronic. That's what I was thinking. Don't they have a version without the dragon?
